Nice! Love the intertwine tool! One suggestion: Align the text on path by making it center align and drag the center limiter of the circle to be on the very top. This way it will stay aligned also if you change the font or the text itself. No guides needed.
At 6:10 you can center the text by clicking and dragging the edges of the type on a path and drag them to both ends (or for a full circle I put both ends at the bottom center point (or the top if your text is on the bottom of a circle). Then you can use the center paragraph alignment. Easy peasy!
That intertwine tool is pretty awesome! I work with Affinity (which is a great option for aspiring graphic designers like myself) and it's nice to see that a lot of tools and functions are alike. There were definitely some tips in this video I have to try out. Thanks for sharing!
Cool tips buddy. I love the Appearance panel. I discovered it a few years ago and use it all the time. But I apply strokes and effects to groups through this panel. Then I add more items or remove from the group. Drop shadow and strokes will update. Before I knew about the Appearance panel, I used to just duplicate my text and add thicker strokes. Fixing a typo or making the text a template took a while because I had to go through multiple text elements to update the text.
One i learn a few days ago: If you have a shape on top of another and you want to select the shape behind, you just click the first shape and then with control you click to activat and then it will apear a small arrow near your mouse arrow, you click again and you selected the shape behind, this is very useful if you have many layers on top of another you just keep clicking until you reach the shape you want. Also works in indesign
Great tips satori, about the pathfinder compound path tip, I usually hold the Alt+the compound path tool I want to use and it automatically changes it to a compound group.
Excellent tips. Here's a tip for you. Change the default keyboard shortcut in MacOS for Spotlight Search. Its the same shortcut as the zooming shortcut in Adobe programs so when you go to zoom, Spotlight Search pops up and interrupts your workflow, over and over and over, forever. Apple did wonderful things with MacOS, but this one thing was a big mistake because so many people just live with it like a sickness they can't get rid of. LOL I've been telling people this over their shoulders for probably 15 years and people always go, oh my goodness, that thing was driving me crazy!
I always learn something with your videos..To perfect Adobe software skills is a must in the workplace.. Love your channel.. As I mentioned in a previous post comment, I also use the Affinity Designer software part of the Affinity series.. If you ever get a chance to get a version and learn them it would be nice to see some of your tutos..
@@SatoriGraphics good to see you again, yeh the appearance panel is amazing, I just wish there was an injest feature so we can add any element to the appearance panel. There is a work around though but its really taxing, its not for the average illustrator user
there are handle bars that come up when you're typing on path. if you hit center text align, the handle will move to the middle and you can center it with the anchor points.
For type on that arc, move the little adjustment bar you selected to recenter the copy all the way to the start of the spline and make sure the other is at the end (it seems to be) then hit the center align in the Paragraph tab.
I actually like the ruler tip too, because when you have something starting with say a D, and ending with a Y, it's best to eyeball it as opposed to actual math.
The object alignment tip is gold. Thank you.
No worries:)

great video, i would love to learn to create a logo like Nortel Networks
For the first one, just expand appearance and you’ll have outlined vector.
I knew one of the things! Lol.

What's the difference between Milanote and Google drawings?
Bro how come you have about three thumbnails for each video which you shuffle & change through til the last one?
Hi Tom!
Can You duplicate the lines in Appearance panel and use Offset path instead lines width and every second set to background colour.
Yeah I have covered that feature before, thanks for sharing
Something I wish someone talk about is How to make a good design, with a good layout, but with too much information
