Great video as always.... About the credit card point though, while the video is right about credit cards not being useful for day-to-day expenses, a new system of online payments has been developed in India, which has made it easier to pay for even small transactions and is available at the smallest of vendors and shops across the country..... You can look it up in one of your future videos as well.... It's called UPI

    1. When you travel to INDIA, try to avoid seeing "Popular Cities" or simply the "Capital Cities", they are over crowded and a lot of infrastructure development is taking place causing a lot of traffic jams and unexpected delays.
Keep a suburban city/town/village as your basecamp to cover nearby cities. These towns will allow you to cut costs and get the real essence of India.
For example, If you are visiting Karnataka in South India, choose Mysore over Bangalore as your "Basecamp". Mysore is anyway just a couple of hours from Bangalore. Mysore has a lot more tourist attractions than Bangalore as well. You can cover popular spots in Bangalore and return to your Basecamp on the same day and repeat it if incase you want to see something more the following day in Bangalore.
DO NOT miss eating South Indian breakfast in Mysore, especially the MYSORE MASALA DOSA!
So choose an "ideal Basecamp" while you travel in India 🇮🇳
    2. If you are planning to visit any temple in INDIA, DO NOT eat non-vegetarian food (avoid eggs as well). It's advised for your well-being and good health and none of what's mentioned in our Vedic scripts are blind beliefs or a superstitions, but it's done because ideally most of our Temples are built in "SPECIAL LOCATIONS " with high magnetic field, etc.(For instance, "Lord Shiva Temples [Jyotirlingas] built in the ancient times follow the laws of Nature and this time it is the Fibonacci Pattern"). Also eating a simple vegetarian meal will allow your body to be at ease and it will help you receive the aura and energy emitted from the main Idol and from the rest of the temple's premises.

9:10 Right, talking loud in public can be too disturbing. All teenagers and young people always avoid that. But there are some old folks who starts talking to you for no reason. And also there are new born kids who just doesn't shut up!
I personally try to be as quite as possible, when in public.
Once I was travelling in a sleeping bus and my phone started ringing very loudly at 4am. It's good that I had curtains on so nobody could see me😂.
    But it was soooo embarrassing🙈...

    Hi Nami! Few pointers upfront:
    1. PDA has no penalty. Of course, it's not in the culture, but you can see plenty PDA in metro cities. It's good if you don't.
    2. Credit cards have penetrated now but are still not that popular. However, mobile payments (UPI) are exploding. I have not used cash for ANYTHING in the past 1.5 years, and I live in a tier-3 town in the north.
    Things you should avoid:
    1. Paying the quoted price for anything, especially while shopping. Start with 40% of the quoted price as a bargain offer.
    2. Bargaining does not apply to shopping in malls/showrooms or packaged products (they usually have the price printed, and no one can sell at a higher price)
    3. People in India talk a LOT! It gets awkward if people don't talk (quite the opposite of Japan). Ensure that you reply. If you're not in the mood to talk, still give a short reply.
    4. If you're invited by someone, always get a gift. The best gift is some sweets or snacks. If you choose snacks, buy your part too and hand it over to them; they will serve you and eat with you. Also, don't buy alcohol or meat products (mostly). Flowers, books etc. also don't make good gifts. Stick with sweets/snacks, and you're safe.
    5. Please eat at home. Do not reject or just taste a bit. Eat wholesomely. Not eating much is considered a sign of disrespect to the food and the host. Also, use your right hand and only your right hand. I've seen many foreigners eating with both hands.
    6. Saying Namaste is also a good practice. If you're going to a Muslim home, you can use 'Salam Alaikum' or just 'Salam'. Handshakes are usually not part of the culture. Also, Namaste only works in North India.
    7. Don't smoke/drink in public places or wear skimpy clothes (if not on beaches in the south or resorts).
    8. Avoid talking about politics at all costs.
    9. Take and give things with your right hand. This is a good thumb rule to follow.
    10. Don't judge. Be grateful for the good things and appreciate how people lead their lives. You'll find inner tranquillity.

I think holding hands is ok in NE India. Other type of affection in public might be uncomfortable to others. But we don't have penalty over this. When we see couples showing affection in public We're just like "Oh, let's go somewhere else". Some people just doesn't care so best thing to do is to avoid it.

India was called as Tiānzhú in ancient Chinese or Tenjiku in Japanese especially devout Buddhists, traditionally used "Tenjiku" and its related terms to designate India as their "heavenly centre", referring to the sacred origins of Buddhism in the Indian subcontinent. Some historical East Asian name for India that comes from the Chinese transliteration of the Persian Hindu, which itself is derived from the Sanskrit Sindhu, the native name of the Indus River.[38] Tiānzhú is one of several Chinese transliterations of Sindhu. Juāndú (身毒) appears in Sima Qian's Shiji and Tiāndǔ (天篤) is used in the Hou Hanshu (Book of the Later Han).[39] Yìntèjiā or Indəkka (印特伽) comes from the Kuchean Indaka, another transliteration of Hindu. A detailed account of Tianzhu is given in the "Xiyu Zhuan" (Record of the Western Regions) in the Hou Hanshu compiled by Fan Ye

Even with strangers, there is no problem, but try to avoid foul language. It is better that you wear dresses which won't expose your body. Like many folks don't like it, they hesitate. I am not like anti-feminist. Even woman's in India don't like to expose...So my suggestion is to wear long dresses...
In India folks and older people believe that wearing short and torn dresses as a symbol of misery. However, in Urban areas you would have no problem, but in rural areas they don't like it...

😂😂 Thanks for the advice! I didn’t know that so I bought everything at the original price😂 I still remember this bag I wanted but I didn’t have enough money… so I gave it up😅 I could have bought it if I had some bargain😂 I will never forget to ask for bargaining next time I visit!

I don't think cash is necessary in india. I travel from one state to another without having a single coin just using my mobile phone. India Rank 1 in digital payments beating both USA and China.

    1. This is not true u can use your any hand or even some one other hand too for feeding food generally Indian mom feed food to their child by their hand and believe me eating food by mother's hand nothing is more satisfying then that. So you can use your any hand for feeding no one going to offence especially for foreigners
    2. Yes you need to put your shoes outside temples
    3. Don't be stereo type Yes we worship cows but we don't disrespect others animal too. and yes don't ask beef for eating in India
    4. No one going to touch u if kiss anyone but I will recommend u to don't do this because single person feeling bad including me 🥺
    6. This is not necessary to use your hands for namaste its ok to say namaste only and you can say hello and handshake also
    7. Yes cradit Card is not working everywhere in India becz in India mostly because and shopkeepers are small and they can't afford cradit Card transection charge for small product or service but in India we aslo don't use cash for shopping because we use UPI degital payment system and this is available everywhere even in temple for donation 😏

That is the problem with written text. You often don't get the emotion behind. A simple suggestion could be taken rudely.
