He could also just mark his food prices up to 300% too if he wanted to work harder for it but make it achievable. Could also sell paintings.

For anyone interested in using this as a restaurant, you can use move objects to place a chair on top of the ones on the upper floor that isn't connected to the table, then delete the ones that are linked. That way they still look nice but you won't get assigned to a table on the top floor
What Maxis could do is being able to use the same features from for Rent but this time instead of giving a room to a tenant, you'll be making a room into a different type. Like one room can be applied as a pool area , restaurant, retail etc. that way you can make your own business like hotels, malls etc and still have your normal room upstairs to live in. they dont even need to release a full pack for this just update that feature and it could work out.

11:30 The ceilings remind me that I wish we had soffits in the Sims 4, you could build them using the exact same tool as the platform tool. For those who don't know what soffits are, they are lowered ceilings that usually wrap around the floor structure or can create depth or room separation. They would also be amazing to use to cover the top of cabinets which would make high ceilings way more versatile since I hate the massive gap from cabinets to the ceiling.

I actually hadn't realized that some of my first TS4 builds back to the game (I played at launch but waited a few years to pick it back up because... life) were heavily inspired by this hotel build. Black, Grey, White, Muted browns, "pops of colour" like yellow, very geometric in furnishings. 😅

Hey, James, would you also consider making another big fancy glass building but it's much smaller than this one, so only 6 apartments max without simply emptying them out? Pretty much same concept except with access to all of the other packs and your current 2023 design sensibilities. Or I guess maybe this building had a child with one of your other buildings: a Hotel Build Legacy For Rent Infant Edition! I just thought it'd be a neat idea (especially fun to see which building is the other parent lol.) I know you did that one based on the tv series but I was thinking either no courtyard or else maybe a courtyard that's using the kits to make it more Mediterranean/Moroccan themed. I realize you've built a lot of apartments but I'm hoping they're fun to do other than the various bugs lol. Ooooh or maybe renovating The Old Salt House with the idea of making it a smaller fancy building like this?? IDK! I love the changes you made in this part to this build btw, everything is more clean and cohesive as well as more useful, from the basement gym/utility area to the suites (I agree about making them fit in more while still keeping them unique, it's less jarring that way.) Especially cool to see the deletion protection feature in Better Build; that saves so much time! But also, holy cow all those doors! That's a heck of a glitch. I'm glad everything worked in the end! The entire build looks so classy. I know you said it only takes like a minute to load and it's versatile as to what it can actually be, but I really would love to see a LilSimsie-esque Remake of "Just Make it Smaller" lol. Or maybe you can convince her to renovate like that while keeping the spirit of it, IDK. I love the build, don't get me wrong. I think you did a great job finishing it. That was a certainly a nice present, James. Tons of work, and quite tedious checking for all the duplicates and such. That bug needs to be squashed pronto---the laaaggg, dear lord. It looks great--very detailed and realistic. I wonder what it would look like if the fountain at the main entrance and the beautiful chandelier was brought forward and the pillar was placed behind it so that it could be seen from the front sidewalk? I'd have to see the set up, it might not work. Would you ever be up for a reno of this with some of the more popular packs?? I could try to round up another 25,000 folks...😆

I support filling in gaps above cabinets with these “soffits” of yours. OMG my phone knew how to spell that but still chokes on duck- I, not… Sigh.
