    Hey, Steve here. Well, Janet and I have owned our Panoramic RV - Harvey the RV - for a year now. It's the first 2022 US Chassis Ram ProMaster 3500 that Panoramic shipped and we are really enjoying it!
    So, here is your opportunity to see one of the best Class B RVs on the market, in terms of what really matters: the floor plan, quality build and smart design!

    I have watched hundreds of RV tours, including vans and this was the very best tour I have ever seen! You folks are calm and efficient with a perfect flowing rhythm. Measurements for every space - THANK YOU! Your tour video should be the industry standard. Definitely going to check out Panoramic. Thank you both for such a thoughtful video.

      Thank you so much for your do diligence in creating a very informative and concise SHARE of this BEAUTIFUL CLASS B VAN! I have been looking and dreaming about this Van for 2 years now. It seems to be the most top rated Van currently in its Class with design, functionality and QUALITY! I was very glad to hear that this is your first Van as well and that you had the same concerns as I do, not having owned a prior Van either.
      Happy Travels... and I look forward to seeing & meeting you on the road🤩🙏🥰

    I follow a few RV reviewers. Even though I have no plans to buy or travel in one, the Class B vans are my favorite. I like the compactness, drivability and stealthiness of the class B. My bench mark is always the refrigerator. Most have tiny college dorm fridges. Yours is the perfect size and fits!

    • @panoramictravels
      @panoramictravels  Місяць тому

      The Panoramic floorpan and features really do set it apart from other Class Bs. I think the refrigerator is one of the largest you could put in a Class B. Others use "dorm refrigerators" that are placed between the floor and the galley counter. The tanks are pretty big, too, for a Class B: fresh water 35 gallons, gray tank 24 gallons and black tank 16 gallons. I also like the large permanent bed.

    Thank you for your walk through. Up until January 2024, we had never heard of the Panoramic class B RV before. We saw one at a nearby RV dealer while we were getting our Roadtrek Simplicity repaired. After seeing your walk through we were able to see many more features of the Panoramic than we saw just looking inside one at the dealership. My wife and I are kind of new to RVing, even though we’ve had a camper and camper van that we made up ourselves in the 1980’s. But having a class B is definitely the way to go for the two of us. Maybe if we win a lottery we can afford,a Panoramic. Thanks again for the video.

    Thank you so very much for taking the time to give measurements for every bit of storage. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. I have owned a class C previously and am looking for a B van now. You both seem to be very happy with the Panoramic and as I am a widow now, I too am looking for a vehicle I can depend on. Great job in your review! Hope to meet you on the road some day.

    Thanks for your response. I'm in a cold climate(Calgary)and wonder how the batteries Panoramic uses would stand up in very cold temperatures. Should the chance present itself, I would love to see an in depth video on the electrical system along the lines of the very good winterization episode.

    Steve, your one year review is outstanding. Not only is it thorough, but also well produced. I believe the two best Class Bs are Embassy and Panoramic. But Embassy goes too far with no black tank, whereas Panoramic takes the best of popular national brands (like Winnebago ) floor plans with the quality of custom vans (but they dislike bathrooms.) Grech may be high quality but boring floor plan like Coachmen. Panoramic combines the best of all of them.

      @panoramictravels  8 місяців тому +1

      @@bernie.b any questions you might have can be directed to the owner of Panoramic Philippe Marcotte at pm@vrpanoramic.ca. As for the black tank clearance, it hasn't been a problem for us in our first 15,000 miles. The Ram ProMaster is front wheel drive only, it's not really meant for off-roading where the clearance might be an issue.

      @panoramictravels  8 місяців тому

      Yes, the five year warranty is great, and Panoramic has honored it for the few problems we have had during our first 14 months of ownership!
      Yes, Panoramic now has a 600 Amp hour option. 440 Amp hours was the most that was available when we placed our order. 440 Amp hours is plenty for us. I don't think we have ever seen the battery level below 65%.

      how many days of off-grid (boondocking) could you do if you were not driving? I am curious about the autonomy of the batteries with a 2-way fridge. thank you!
      @@panoramictravels

    • @panoramictravels
      @panoramictravels  4 місяці тому +1

      @@Donnadrury100 It depends on what resource goes first: batteries depleted, propane empty, fresh tank empty, grey/black tanks full. Batteries are easy because you can just drive for an hour or so to charge (or partially charge) them. Propane will depend on how cold it is. Heating the RV will be the biggest draw along with heating water for showers and cooking. You can augment the fresh water supply by bringing collapsible water bags (we have four 2.5 gallon bags).
      You should watch a video I will be posting within the next few days "Heading Southeast - Part 1" where I provide some charts at the end of the video discussing the levels of all of these resources over the course of a 26 day trip.

    • @Donnadrury100
      @Donnadrury100 4 місяці тому +1

      I watched your latest video last night and found it very interesting. Thank you. I have always had a three-way fridge in my RVs in the past and can boondock until my tanks fill (or empty) which under normal use is 4-5 days. I am nervous about going towards a 2-way fridge as we rarely plug in. Having said that, I think this fridge is much more efficient and there is a better battery and solar panel setup on the Panoramic RV. @@panoramictravels

    • @panoramictravels
      @panoramictravels  4 місяці тому +1

      @@Donnadrury100 this is our first RV so I don't have any experience with a 3-way fridge. I can tell you that I have never had any concerns about the 2-way fridge drawing too much power. But, it will depend on your battery capacity, how long you stay in one place without driving, and to a lesser extend, how much sun is shining on the solar panels.

    @user-iq1ru1sg4e 5 місяців тому +1

    Nice. I was really thinking this might be the RV for me until you got to the bed. It is a deal killer. The RV is too short. It needs to be 20" longer so one can sleep front to back, not side to side, thereby allowing use of the bed without one person having to climb over the other.

    • @panoramictravels
      @panoramictravels  5 місяців тому

      I get it. The bed is great, but when my wife (who sleeps in the back) needs to get up in the middle of the night she wakes me up and I get out of the bed. This is one of our least favorite aspects of the Panoramic RV.
      The problem is that in a 21' van if the bed was configured front to back it would force the kitchen, dining area and/or bathroom to be smaller.
      Here is a possible solution, perhaps not ideal, but a solution nonetheless ... if there are two of you, one could sleep in the main bed and one could sleep in the dining area bed. That bed takes less than two minutes to set up.
      Another possible solution might be future versions of the Panoramic. It is my understanding that they are looking at using a Ford Transit or Mercedes Sprinter. These vans tend to be too narrow for a side to side bed, so they might offer the front to back configuration you're looking for.

    2) When you ordered was the price set in 2020 ? waiting almost Two years did the price go up ? And last by picking up in New York did that save a lot on destinations fees?**. You now have had it over a year & half any major problems? Thanks, Bill

    • @panoramictravels
      @panoramictravels  2 місяці тому

      The Ram ProMaster 3500 chassis is a 2022 model year and was built for the US market.
      The price was set for what was available when we ordered. By the time it was ready to build Philippe contacted us and we reviewed the order. Some items that were options in 2020 had become standard. Other options that were not available in 2020 were available in 2022. So, adjustments were made.
      Yes, the price went up because the price Panoramic had to pay Ram went up. I think this was a function of Covid-related supply chain issues and the fact that the 2022 ProMaster had better features than the 2020 ProMaster.
      Panoramic would have delivered to our house in Michigan for several thousand dollars. We chose to pick it up at their Plattsburgh office at no charge to us.
      We have had a few problems. Initially, some major ProMaster-related problems, which have been corrected. We have had a few minor Panoramic-related problems which Panoramic repaired under our five year warranty.

    • @panoramictravels
      @panoramictravels  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi, Sean, congratulations on your future Panoramic RV! The amount of time you can run the AC without shore power will depend on your battery capacity (we have 440 Amp hours) and what AC setting you're using. My best guess is that we could run it moderate to full for a few hours, but I've never put it to the test. You might want to ask at tech@panoramicrv.com.

      I agree the quality, in my opinion, is better than a Winnebago. We actually prefer the black tank compared to a cassette toilet. We have to dump the gray tank anyway; we might as well dump a black tank, too. Also, most cassette toilets only have a 5 gallon capacity. Our black tank has a 16 gallon capacity. We are 12 days into a trip right now and our black tank is at 63 percent. One more point, the Panoramic does have a murphy bed, but we always leave it down.

      Yes, we live in the USA and purchased the RV directly from the manufacturer. This was a big question for me before we made the purchase.
      Warranty repairs are handled depending on the issue. The technical staff are very responsive. There might be some phone and/or email troubleshooting. Once the cause of the problem is determined my experience has been that: 1) they will send a technician to our location; 2) we/I can travel to their facility; or 3) Panoramic will work with a repair center near me and pay the costs. They have gone out of their way to resolve the few issues we have had in a professional and prompt manner.

      All I know is they're both based on the Ram ProMaster 3500. I like the Panoramic floor plan better and suspect the Panoramic build quality is better. Here is a link for the Rangeline for more information: www.airstream.com/touring-coaches/rangeline/

    Having acquired in the US how did the purchase go considering these are manufactured in Quebec and there is
    a limited US dealer network to purchase from and service.
    What issues have you had to date and how were they resolved. Are you still satisfied with overall quality.
    Will be traveling with a pet. Does AC operate off battery (How long) or does it only run when connected to
    shore power. Can you set AC to automatically go on/off at set temp.
    Have been considering Pleasureway Ontour 2.2 on Ford chassis all wheel drive. How has the Ram Promaster
    performed and held up so far.

      The purchase went very smoothly. We put down a deposit when we placed our order. We financed the rest when we picked up Harvey the RV in Plattsburgh, NY. The paperwork took five minutes. Then, Panoramic had a representative walk us through all of the systems (and took us to lunch!). Service - with their five year warranty - has never been an issue. The Panoramic tech support team always reply quickly to emails and phone calls. Often times the issue can be resolved over the phone or with an email. Other issues include having work down locally, Pano tech working with the local service facility to resolve the issue and Panoramic paying the local facility. In rare cases, Panoramic will send a technician to your RV's location!
      The main issues we have had were Ram ProMaster related, not Pano related. I made a few videos of that. Yes, we are very happy with the quality!
      Yes, the new Truma AC unit can run off of the batteries - if you get the larger capacity option - and it can be programmed with the TrumaCombi Controller. When our RV was built 440 Amp-hours was the maximum offered and that's what we got. Now, I think they offer up to 600 Amp-hours. There are a lot of variables as to how long the AC will run off of batteries. All I can say is it is probably in hours, not days. Of, course you can drive the RV to charge the batteries. There are devices, like the Waggle, that can alert you when the temperature is above or below a preset range.
      Other than the Ram problems we had in the first few months of ownership, it has been great. It's front wheel drive only, unlike the Ford Transit, for example. Panoramic is working on designs, by the way, for the Ford Transit and the Mercedes Sprinter.

      @@panoramictravels Steve, thank you for your input. Can you elaborate on the ProMaster issues you have had and how many miles you now have on the van.

      @@RuthAnneBrossman We have 22,000 miles after 1.5 years and seven major road trips. To elaborate on the Ram issue - which is now a distant memory - here is the transcript from my Pano RV Episode 6:
      As I mentioned in Episode 5, I started up the RV and the Service Transmission Warning came on along with other warnings. I could put it in gear, but it was very clunky. I could drive it, but with the pedal to the floor, it would only go about 20 miles an hour.
      So, I called Chrysler Roadside Assistance and they sent out a tow truck to take it to a local Ram dealership, namely Szott M59 Ram dealership. Cate, the Service Manager had told me when I dropped it off that it might take a week or two before they even looked at it.
      Well, four days later they hooked up their OBD2 (On Board Diagnostic Version 2) equipment, made note of the stored warning codes and then cleared them. A few days later they drove the RV, started and stopped it (what Cate called “key cycles”) and they could not reproduce any of the warnings. They did notice that a software update was available for the Powertrain Control Module so they updated it.
      I’m going to chalk this up to a “computer glitch” and am hoping it doesn’t come back anytime soon!

      @panoramictravels  9 місяців тому +1

      We purchased it directly from the manufacturer, Panoramic RV. They are located in Chambly, Quebec, Canada.
      You can email the owner Philippe Marcotte at pm@vrpanoramic.ca. Ask him for an Order Guide.
