Best Fly for Close-To-Freezing Water Temperature

In this video, I am out sea trout fly fishing on Gotland with my friend and guide college Jerome Saunders. It is early spring and sea trout fishing is really good. The weather is not the most comfortable with temperatures close to freezing and a strong wind straight from North. I don't mind that so much since I use to have good fishing when there is a northern wind. As long as the conditions look good at the place. I am starting using the flies that are already on my rod but quickly realize that they sink too fast. It is both very shallow where I believe the fish will be and I want to retrieve it very slowly. The solution is to change the fly. The fly that is tied in the video is the floating spey shrimp that also is tied in a Tie Tv episode by Niklaus Bauer. When I showed him the shallow winter fishing we do here he came up with this fly and it works super good. This is a video I have been wanting to do for a long time. Hope you enjoy it.
