Omg these fish are absolute beauties if it wasn't for the square tail you have sworn they were small grille not seatrout well done mate such a joy watching your vidios you make it look so easy as you and I know it isn't
I love your video's. I live in Newfoundland and am going to try some estuary sea trout fishing this year, it seems impossible but you catch amazing silver fish. Any tips on water temperature? The ocean temperature is around 2 degrees Celsius right now, maybe colder in some area's. Fishing opens here in another week. I will be fishing sea run brown trout and char(brook trout).
Great videos what you have here! Doin the same thing in North Estonian coast. Just one question. What was the water temperature on that day? At the mom we have a lot of winter storms here and water is around zero C so need to wait a bit with the start. Guy´s are catching from rivers but not on coast yet. Keep up your great work and blessings from Estonia!
Hey Robert! I just found your channel, awesome. I live in Scotland and want to have a go at the sea trout off the coast. I think I may know an area to fish, but I was wondering at what point in the tide you think is best to try?
Id say rising tide is the absolute best, atleast in Sweden. I don’t know about Britain thou, I think you have a more brutal tide but generally the concept should be about the same.
Thats great, it is so cool to see how you fish and what you fish with, because the conditions you have are very simular to what i have on Bornholm. And after i been watching your videos and listening to what you tell and do, ive been catching a little bit more fish now than before. Thank you Robert! 😃🤟
Beautiful fish! Thanks for all your videos such amazing content! Now I have to hit the water! Still no fish for me this year down in Skåne. But Im “only” two trips in. The water where I been fishing is very clear, so been going with more natural, but maybe time to try some orange spey shrimp like pattern, :) any suggestions on patterns around the Skåne kust? Secondly what net is that? And again Thanks for all the content!
Thank you Dan. Sure, try something more colorful with a lot of movement. Rubber legs or easy shrimp legs also work very good in winter. The landing net is the new Vision meri sea trout net 👌
I see in you're video's that you sometimes use an onki rod or stilmaniac rod and hero reel. I have an onki 7 wt and hero reel. Can i use them in salt water?
You can use any gear in saltwater as long as you take care of it. But bare in mind that what you watch me do is fishing a brackish sea so it doesn't wear the gear as much.
Yes sure. A whole lot easier with only one fly on the leather though. But I almost never cast straight into the wind. I have a video called strategy to catch fish in a windy day. There I show what I do instead.
Always nice to find a new video from you! Just a quick question, how far would you say a standard cast are for you when fishing on the coast? I feel I'm struggling with the length of my casts but I really don't have anything to compare them to :)
Nice to hear. A few years ago I was pushing my casting distance every time and it was not helping. 30 meters was not uncommon but now I cast 20-25 meters most of the time. I find the amount of time in the strike zone and the retrieve style to be more important. I am a casting freak that can throw +30 meters when there is no wind to help me. If I would be given the option to always have the most efficient presentation in the strike zone but only a 15 meter fly line to throw I would choose that.
You got a better day, on this day. Conditions are better. A little easier. 👍
Excellent videos, sea trout anglers in action.....👍😊

Thank you James. There goes so many hours of filming with absolutely nothing happening ☺️
OMG...... I can't keep watching these films. Get so excited when you hook into a fish! I Would love to fish there!
😂 it can be hard to edit sometimes. I just want to go back as soon as I'm done.
That was one lion-hearted sea trout,Robert!

Finally I've been waiting for a new video from you. which 3 flies will they qige that you will often use in the cold winter months? 😃
Thanks. I'll try to upload a video every second week this year. Top 3 winter flies: spey shrimp, foam shrimp, Gammarus.

Hi Robert! Hope you have seen our video from Gotland! Q: Which line you were using in this video?

3-4 grader. Jag skulle tro bästa tiden för er är oktober och maj eller 6-8 grader i vattnet.

It's the vision xlv stillmaniac cassette
What gloves are you wearing, Robert? I’m fishing for seatrout forever, but never found gloves that really worked for me at the coast.
Fish monkey bauers grandma wool glove 👌
@@FlyFishingbyRobert thank you!
how does it feel living my dream?
Nice fishing! Was that second fish not a salmon?
Thanks. It was a sea trout.
Hi. Super flot fisk. Er du på Gotland?
Tack. Ja, det stämmer.
Can you fish with a 7 wt when there is a lot of wind blowing to the face?

@@FlyFishingbyRobert så kastlängden är alltså avgörande som man kanske kan tro, fiskar man båt så är det definitivt inte så viktigt med kastlängden?
