My husband and I saw him last year in London, I managed to surprise him (he listens to the podcast all the time and is working back through the catalogue to before he started listening to hear each one). He was fabulous, honest, funny, somber and he talks here about bringing it in with his stool, and it’s true. It was like we were sitting down in a room and speaking with an old friend.
Marc is flying high and I am glad he isn't high anymore cause he was a mean douche back in the NYC club days. Love him and hope to catch him in DC; his podcasts are like a friend from a soul universe.
I'm not a fan of Maron the comedian, that is to say there are funnier people out there to spend 90 minutes of your comedic life with, BUT Maron the guy is fascinating and I could listen to him for hours. He has a unique perspective on things, it's a perspective he's learned by surviving the rough side of life. People call him "edgy" but that's a huge oversimplification and a misunderstanding of the man, he's extremely sensitive, vulnerable and open, he wears his emotions on his sleeve and his response, to anything, is always authentic. So if you're watching this clip and thinking "a guy talking about his cat isn't funny", do yourself a favour, listen to any episode of WTF and embrace a truly unique individual.
In this day and age frankly I would love nothing more than listening to a comedian talk about his cats. instead they are shrieking about political correctness, the insanity of politics, and on and on, especially Marc Maron, who I listen to all the time and whose sanity is only moderated by his cats. More talk about kit tens.
Us from UK know them well, and they are good journalists and their style is what is expected from BBC morning show. It has to be said though that they don't have chemistry with each other. Charlie had great chemistry with Susanna Reid. (My favourite duo were Bill Turnbull & Sian Williams followed by Sophie Raworth & Jeremy Bowen (these were hilliarious-She was perfect and he was always lost lookking for his notes lol) )
naruto uzumaki: seems like they are ok -- why do you say that? Should they be asking more personal questions, like , what's your favorite position in bed? (btw, I'm a long time Marc fan but first time seeing these 2)
It's a morning news show, the whole point is that it's as in-offensive as possible, they're broadcast journalists not comedians so they're not trying to be personalities. They're actually good at what they're doing, you want jokes watch him on Conan or Colbert
@@joshholmes877 I didn't say I wanted jokes, did I? I said odd seating. No personality. Awkward interview. All of these things are true. They are "not good at what they do" if it looks this horribly bad. Morning news shows typically have personality and aren't awkward. These two suck at this. Also stfu
Wow it’s so nice to see the new, nice, levelheaded Marc. He’s a testament to the ability of people to change for the better.
Yeah, I think he's calmed down now that he's gotten some of the recognition he wanted for so many years.

Maron has always been brilliant. I'm glad his self destructiveness is behind him. I was worried for a lot of years about that guy.
Congrats to Mark on 10 years of podcasts and 20 years of sobriety.

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
I would still listen to Marc do 3 hours of cat comedy. Kitt-hen.
Hes great in Glow

My box played up yesterday and missed this! Thanks SO much for posting! :0)
BBC Breakfast was something totally different from what i thought.
Heh. Nice.
LOL!
Why is it so weird watching him on British tv? 😂
When we mentions "the monster" we all know who he's talking about.
that is nice
She pronounces the word garage 'GAH-ridge' and 'GAH-rahge" in the same sentence. He pronounces it 'guh-RAGHE'.
Marc is so hot here... oh my gosh
Fast forward through 4:01 - 4:27.
Why she kept cutting him off?? Let him talk 🙄
I read this before I watched the video and was worried. Now, having watched it, I'm just confused. When did she keep cutting him off?
Battleschnodder watch it again. Several times.
Wanda George It’s a conversation. He wasn’t there to deliver a monologue.
these 2 interviewers are horrible
No, they're not. Why?

Breakfast television is horrible. Actually, these two are among its less offensive practitioners

Odd seating arrangement. No personality. Severely awkward interviewers. How is this TV?

Brit morning shows are even worse than American ones (which already suck)
Love these effusive Comments about this non-funny guy. How much did they pay you? Must have been a lot.
Trump troll alert.
