Jack was such an incredible singer. I saw Great White (full classic lineup) in 2007, and I briefly met Jack at the show. RIP man, you are gone too soon.
For Sure. J.R could always hit those highs effortlessly as he does with these two songs. Amazing band, solid performers and a kick ass musical collective of talent. Probably my actual fave band if I'm honest with myself 😵💫😁
Jack Russell was so underrated as a vocalist / lead singer, in my opinion, one of the top 10 greatest vocalist of all time. Gone too soon R.I.P. Mate 🙏🏼😇
You ain’t kidding. They were that good. They made good music all decade long and toured hard. I don’t know how they didn’t become a truly huge rock band. If I had to pick a reason it was because they were about 1 tier to heavy for most people. Rock Me for instance, was as heavy as it got without sounding like Black Sabbath or Metallica or something.
Great band. One of my all time favorites. It’s crazy they should’ve been so much bigger. I spent countless hours listening to them back when people cruised around on the prowl. Great memories,,GREAT WHITE!
Jesus effin Christ how I'm going to miss that voice. Saw them many times and got to meet and talk to Jack after a show in Denver in 1995. Always loved Great White, and always will.
I loved the ‘80s! I was 22, 23, 24 (in ‘87, ‘88 & ‘89) - the best decade to be young & enjoying Rock/Metal music, cool clothes, Rock Clubs & Concerts! I loved Great White’s “Rock Me” & “Save Your Love” - what a great band! Fabulous vocals & excellent tunes! Jack also sang incredible Led Zeppelin cover tunes! What a talent he was! RIP ROCKER…♥️
@@KenKellySWFLNa bro. Its pre recorded. Not a sin but not live either. The singer of The Cranberries got caught on late night TV Old Jack just hasn't been busted yet.
I saw these guys around the time of this performance. A class act. I can't remember who they were with. Warrant? I'm getting old and my memory is not so good. Those were some good times!
My buddy was in band that opened for Great White in the 80's in Vancouver, he said they were the best sounding and most professional band they ever opened for and it shows.
Brings me back to summer of 1987. Bought the tape just before driving from Largo, Fl. to Vegas in my old 71 Cutlass. Was 17 and listened to that tape the entire way west. “ Rock Me”, and “On the Edge” are still two of my favorites. So glad to have those memories.
👍 I was also 17 and went 750 miles in my 79 TA to Lakeland Florida. Listened to Great White a lot on that road trip . I stayed for months. Worked thru the summer and had the time of my life. Music just takes us back in time. 87 was a fun time
I was in my final year in college when I formed a band. All we played was the 1st set Great White. 2nd set Dokken. 3rd set Ratt. 4th set Great White again. Man I miss those times! ❤

They’ve always been a fav of mine & I graduated in 1990 so I was there in the beginning & loved their bluesy sound! The Metal Heads at Berea always tried to outdo the other by introducing our collective to new bands & music
Love Great white. Not only are they good. But all a REAL NICE BUNCH OF GUYS. LUCKY TO KNOW THEM. I love that Tony Montana and cant get enough of him His new band SHADOW AND THE THRILL......AMAZING!!!!!
These guys did not bloom more mainstream until 1987, but as good and full of energy as there were, they should have been noticed by the industry by 1984.
Unfortunately there aren't such performers any more. With such a great focken pleasure a month ago I rediscovered for me personally Great White's ballads, Don Dokken's ballads etc. Everything juicy is already in my mp3 collection with the highest possible quality for the mp3 format.
I saw great white open for judas priest on the screaming for vengeance tour, i was 17 and it was my first concert. I knew who priest was for sure, but knew nothing about great white. Once bitten wasnt even out yet, but man, they where good . Lots of the priest fans didn’t give them a chance, but they where good..great rock and roll band
We just now discovered how rare this clip is, the Late Show had just fired Joan Rivers and thus the show was dropped from a lot of stations before this broadcast with the first of many "guest" hosts. Not only had many of the stations carrying the show dropped it, but this ep was only broadcast on the east coast -- it was pre-empted elsewhere by breaking Iran-Contra news programs, and of course none of these shows were ever rerun --
Killer Great White blast frpm the past footage. Saw Great White twice in a club in early 90"s one of the best live bands ever. Bobby Blotzer filled in on drums for the second show. Good Times!🎸🦈
takes me back ..when i bought the album, while stationed in the ARMY in GERMANY 1988. I saw them few months later on the Monsters of Rock show in Schweinfurt, GE. Those were they days.
If you like this genre or not the talent of the guitarist and singer is over the top. notes hit by the singer in a live performance is a God given talent. Smooth as SILK
80s 90s to this day The Best in all aspects Singer and 2 guitarist they went thru. The 1st one that passed away in the fire.GOD take care of Him.❤ then get another Ace.
The song Save All Your Love where the verse goes “Where no one else will ever be” has always reminded me of how The Carpenters would phrase their songs. I wonder if Jack borrowed that melody from The Carpenters. I got the chance to see Great White in the middle of summer ‘89 along with Tesla and Kix at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in California. What a night. So many beautiful ladies (the crowd was well mixed) and every band was on fire. So many great memories in the late eighties.
Rest in peace, Jack, you kicked ass along the way..
Found out through your post just now.
Rip. Most underrated band in history!
Mark Kendall is a phenomenal guitarist.
In 89 Great White toured with Tesla. What an amazing double feature. Both bands were amazing.
With Badlands opening the show.
Jack was such an incredible singer. I saw Great White (full classic lineup) in 2007, and I briefly met Jack at the show. RIP man, you are gone too soon.

They should have been as big as acdc, van halen def leppard, in my heart they were, and are and always will be the top of my top 4 bands of all time
I agree 100% definitely the most underrated band of the Era
I agree too
Were they bigger than "Bon Jovi"? I hope so.

Hey people from today this is music. Played by real musicians and not by computers.
lol hes lip syncing

Talking about touching a soul. Jack could sing to your deep soul. And his pitch was fantastic

This guy did amazing Led Zepplin covers. He had a great voice and the band itself was more blues than hairband.
wow the muscle cut body glove t shirt tucked into the leather pants and lets throw in some suspenders! LOL! 80's fashion was weird!
You can tell a good singer when they make a weak song worth listening to. He got me through it & ended up cool.
Good performance. I wonder what happened to Kendall’s tone on the solo’s. He usually has a nice, fat tone, but here it’s thin and kind of fizzy.
Very very high pitch voice
Excelente banda , aunque no muy valorada en especial su guitarrista...q toca Excelente...y no ha sido muy estimado al igual q el vocalista
