What are the shell made of?

Aluminium

What's the parameters for building these cars? Metal type and thickness. Battery motor size? Over all weight etc?

The bodies are 0.5mm alluminium with mounting frames. The batteries are all 4 cell NIMH with a brushed motor. Weight im not so sure about.

Wow at first I couldn't tell if they were made to look beat up. But now I see they are just actually beat up. do they even try to make a lap or are they blind 😅

Not newbies by far...them cars are quick. I did "carpet racing" for a bit. Very unforgiving and FAST!!!!!!!!

When I was a kid. We went to the Islip speedway and watch stock car races. They raced it a figure eight. This was full size. What fun!
