My friend did indeed tell me about Handsome Biscuit, so I guess we're actually good. Yay! Really looking forward to moving there in May, and hopefully buying some time next year.
I have lived in Virginia Beach for about 5 years, I recently moved next to Cure Coffee shop in Freemason, and the entire area of Ghent and Freemason ( I know it is downtown) is wonderful. It gives a very nice dense suburban feel with urban zoning. Websites for walkability and biking never do this area justice since almost every street the speed limit is 25 making it capatiable for biking. One slight thing that is easily forgotten is the great supporting areas Fort Norfolk, Chelsea ( Might as well be part of west Ghent) Downtown, and park place is making a come up as well.
Nooooo. Avoid Norfolk. Ghent is pretty, but there is something wrong with the way people treat each other in Norfolk. I disliked my time living there because of the people. Norfolk, well, some parts of Norfolk, are extremely beautiful, but the people can make it very ugly. The historical aspect of Norfork is absolutely amazing. I suggest visiting and getting the hell out as soon as you can. If you look on any of the cruise ship, Vlogs they express how much they dislike coming to Norfork. That says a lot right there. this is just my opinion I don’t need any rebuttal. I’m just saying I disliked it because how rude the people were.
Usually you want 2 years of work history, but there are some exceptions. To determine what you can afford is really dependent on debt to income and the mortgage payment you are comfortable with, not just income level, but if you have decent credit score and low debt you may qualify up to 4-6x your income.

Awesome!
Hella Fitzgerald Sammie is my fav!!
I highly recommend Ten Top on Colley for takeout, across the street from Chipotle and next to a laundromat.
1000% agree, that place is fantastic

100% agree, one of my favorite homes in Norfolk is in that area!

How of an income history do I have to show and what income level to be able to afford a three bedroom condo?
