This Living In Coastal Virginia UA-cam feature of Top 5 Things To Do in Norfolk Virginia has some exciting information and I do also enjoy that the ideas feature for varied money budgets and/or schedules.
my sisters husband was stationed in Norfolk about a month ago. My birthday is in 3 days and I’m going to take a roadtrip from Dallas tx to Norfolk for a few months to see if it’s somewhere I would want/could afford to live! I’m so freaking excited and nervous but ready for a new chapter. Thank you so much for this video, my anticipation couldn’t wait to see what attractions there are to see!
@@beaurex4756 lol yeah so I went fell in love with the beach and the city got an apartment and my sisters husband cheated on her and we both just moved back to Texas together. Don’t trust military men
@@LivingInCoastalVirginia Thank you. We kept our Florida home for now. We are going to allow time to become familiar with the area and for market to settle. I want a buyer's market.
@@Fotogoscar smart to get to know the area, we have a bunch of neighborhood spotlights coming up too! . Hard to tell when the buyers market will come but I have a video dropping soon where I talk about that too.
I work for the airlines and their opening a maintenance base in norfolk thinking of moving here but dont know where.. whats your take on portsmouth, Chesapeake, and va beach? Top three of my list
The Neon is also pretty cool. It's the qwerky, colorful part of downtown. Crossing brambleton Ave, feels like you walked into a different dimension. Lots of great local businesses there.
To expand on that. The city has a bunch of unique "districts" scattered around such as Freemason, the Neon, Chelsea, Ghent, riverview, and the Railroad district to name a few. They all have there own unique vibe.
@@LivingInCoastalVirginia Since crime statistics are no longer available, where can we look up safe areas there? We’d love to move to Norfolk or VB, but are leery about the crime of city life. We’re coming from the country in WV, and look forward to retiring to an area with lots to do, very walkable, near good hospitals, etc.
If you live in this horrible city, pack up everything now and run! If you were thinking about moving here, blindfold yourself, get a map, put it on the wall and throw a dart and move wherever it lands as long as it’s not with N 100 miles of this, horrible, vile city.

Perhaps a future video could include the proximity to the beach as well as access to parks and outdoor recreation
The beauty of Norfolk is that it’s the central most city to our area, which makes nearly everything within max 30-40 min but most stuff within 20-25
Great video thanks for taking the time out for cool places in Norfolk!!
So glad you enjoyed it! Norfolk is an awesome place for sure. Let us know if there are other videos about Norfolk you would like to see!

You showed Chrysler Hall and not Chrysler Museum. Otherwise pretty good take, especially the food recs.

So I moved to Virginia beach
Both have their pros and cons for sure
No one where Chinatown building I don't know Norfolk ????
It's located in the Free Mason area in Norfolk goo.gl/maps/eKrTzU5dwkmCgdQ67

Wrong….. there is no city in America without its negatives and Norfolk has plenty of good here.
@@LivingInCoastalVirginia oh, really? Like what? I won’t even talk about the rude people that live here. Whoops, I guess I did.
I was born in Norfolk and are used to live in Norfolk but they have roaches there
I have lived all over the world, and never been to a place without roaches.
As long as your place is clean u shouldn’t have roaches 🤷🏿♂️
Lol clean up clean up
The hole area should just be called Virginia Beach
Would make things easier, but not likely. Tidewater, 757, Coastal Virginia, 7 cities, etc.... either way we dig it here!
Y’all don’t move to Norfolk it’s miserable
Different Strokes!
We live in Norfolk and love it!
