this is a heartwarming scene of a baby saving its mom
lmao mommy proud
Interesting... 🤔
No, no. He's got a point
Just take your like and go
Yo yeah its absolutely adorable
Humans can travel the galaxy and create lifelike robots, but they don't send drones to completely explore an alien planet before making a mess of things.
😁😁😁
Weyland didn't care. Crew expendable.
@@oldskoolordie Right, expendable but also error-prone. Any logical leader would have sent a few probes to explore from a safe distance.
@@mct8888 prometheus so called scientists were morons.
Alien, they were misled.
Aliens, they didn't listen. Arrogant stupid soldiers and a greedy corporate guy.
If it was me it would be drones then androids then nuke from space.
Alien is really the only believable storyline and even then they do some stupid things.
@@oldskoolordie We don't need to be going to other planets and nuking them because they're dangerous to us LMAO Of course if we did in this film it would just so happen they were planning to kill us...

what does it mean "got bodied"

Yeah
And offscreen too

Note to Self: When going to space in a space ship, remember to bring a space gun instead of a space ax. Space guns are lighter and more compact and (probably) better for killing space monsters and giant evil space men; and a space gun will probably fit in the same space as the space ax with space left over to bring a space saw to cut down space trees.
They had space guns... and space flame throwers earlier.
Nah all you need is a platoon of space marines
You really thought about this didn't ya
Acid for blood.
What if you need to chop some space wood? Not so easy with your space gun, huh?
Poor Shaw she loses her lover, gives birth to a monster, her whole crew is dead, except David, then gets attacked by some giant engineer, I would cry my eyes out too.

And the fact she couldn't actually conceive .. her life just sucked lol
This scene is so menacing and full of survival instincts. The giant face hugger looks incredible
Yea, this movie had problems but it also had alot of really cool shit. This is a cool ass scene

Shaw: Quick Tentacruel, use Wrap!
Shaws' demonic facehugger child: Yes mummy!
One thing that always made me scratch my head was how the creatures in this franchise grow without food or nutrition. The writers just chose to ignore the basic science that food becomes body.
Could have eaten the placenta it wasn't in there that long
no joke, that thing grew from the size of a grapefruit into a giant octpus in a sterile room while locked inside over what a day?...
@@cranbers Well its Sci-Fi, without the Sci part.
I think it would of been more fun to make it a slightly bigger face hugger, not the giant octypus, have the engineer get locked in the room trying to get out and have him turn around hearing it run around in the shadows and then have it fight with it like ripley in aliens.
Yep.. Its very stupid.. To make That massive size but no food to make it.
I don't know, this movie has these perfectly beautiful and unique sci-fi action horror scenes that stuck with me even though I'm not an Alien franchise fanatic
2:23- Love the look of grim determination on Shaw's face when the Engineer makes it thru the door. She's not afraid- she is resolved and ready!
I don’t get how I mean of all things the engineer looked like he could take her out with a single blow imagine if it was a punch or a slap she could have just died from the impact

That engineer deserved to die by shaws baby

I wonder how 'Shaw's Baby' grown this much size in a short period of time without any food in a locked room 🧐
Are you aware of the time zone? Everything happened in almost 30 minutes or 1 hour, and you see, the monster has grown. It is not surprising that it grows so fast, but is it interesting that it grows without eating?
There are anomalies in these creatures. I don't know if they are smart or very aggressive. And if you look at the next movie, people aren't afraid of him, and if he tries to telepathy, he doesn't eat them. He is then shot with a gun, the creature in the movie covenant.
Engineer needs to breath air... Makes it to shuttle with no helmet.

@@fenrir834 why-fi
Definitely has a westerner in it's dna lol
@@hanzen5174 Nah, it's basic physics. It has to have a very large source of food just to account for the matter involved, and digestion is not an efficient process so it takes about 10x food in to produce body mass out. Say the squid is 200lbs, it would have to eat and digest roughly one (1) US ton of food, and even if you say it has nearly perfect digestion this would require about 300lbs of food. You can and should fudge the specifics, but you can't create matter out of thin air. That's just magic at that point.
O I get it that was the squid she gave birth to. She must be proud.
Where did it get all its food from? Law of nature being completely destroyed there. Growing without ingesting mass. That does not fly with me, never.

Fascinating movie, now imagine the opinion of a Biologist after seeing this masterpiece.
Is this comment sarcastic
Who gives a shit about what a biologist has to say about a sci fi film about aliens on another planet
I'd rather not
Who cares? Really. It's a movie, not a documentary. It's like imagining the opinion of a magician after watching Lord of the Rings.
Shaw alone in the ship: -I'm terrrryfied!
Engineer enters the ship: -Hey sup broh, mind if i burrow you a 20?
2:43
neat detail here, you can see it clearly wraps around Shaw's leg, but i assume once realising it has a hold of mum, it lets go and maintains focus on the engineer.
Yes. For a moment there while watching the film I thought squid baby Cthulhu was going to nab both Shaw _and_ hunky Mr. Engineer.
She is such a great actress
One of the best scenes in the movie.
I was just thinking this!
I'm glad she was smart enough not to open the door when she approached it.

The part where Shaw is walking into the ship with the axe reminds me of The Shining.
The engineer is our creator, super intelligent, but for the movie's sake must transform into Jason lol.

Apparently, the engineers have no teeth? I'd sure as hell would've bitten that thing right off.
when i first saw this movie i didn't know much about alien Lore to notice the easter eggs thru out. i didn't realize it was an Alien prequel until the post credits scene, but looking back all the events leading up to this GIANT facehugger were masterful in plot
I can't believe this is 10 years old already.
And this lovely character was killed off screen and replaced with an even more generic character. It's like they don't even know how to make movies anymore.
cute baby Protecting his Mother
I think Ridley Scott wanted to make an Ancient Astronauts movie, and the studio wanted him to make an Aliens movie. So they compromised, with this weird mixture of both that could have been better if they'd gone solely with Ancient Astronauts.

That’s a horrific way to go
I was soooo looking forward to see Elizabeth Shaw in the next movie. But we were all robbed... :(
Naomi Rapace clearly was the highlight of this movie but studio has gone with "everyone loves Fassbender'' marketing hoax.
@@alicaramba7680 What's your problem then? You wouldn't have said the same thing if the android was a female actor. David IS the highlight of both Prometheus and Covenant. Stop bringing gender wars as people usually do in most of the films and shows.

IDC what anyone says, this movie was amazing. Shaw was done dirty in the sequel.
Amazingly bad, yes. And you're right about Shaw, but after what they did at the start of Alien 3 it fits the pattern of this depressing franchise

My favorite part about this movie/series is that everyone died because they were so stupid they deserved it. Worst part was the Engineer died because at least he was cool looking.

@@greenbow7888 @Green Bow It was just a theory. Maybe he would go to their own planet? For a better life.
@@muratakcam402 I suppose. However the Prometheus crew discovered that ship was in the process of setting off to earth when the shit got out. Plus Elizabeth Shaw told the flight crew of Prometheus to crash into the alien ship because it was going to earth. Shaw might have been wrong. @@greenbow7888 So why didn't the creature-filled capsules spread during the impact? absurd. @Ryan Nowatski yup indeed. But at the end it wasn't bcoz engineer was tired, its just that the alien used his smaller tentacles (not sure what's its called) which are really strong to pull the engineer's head closer.
