What to say? Brilliant? Comprehensive? Inspiring? I’ll get nothing else done today? Yes, to all of them 😁 Thank you for de-mystifying pattern making, Liz. You’ve explained the process so well a beginner can follow along. I am going to have an amazing day for sure, Chrissie
I love this process, but I did something wrong. My pattern isn't seamless when I apply the brushes. Are there some typical errors I should look for to correct it? I double checked the canvas size and that is correct. Thank you!
I'd love to help and need just a bit more information. In what part of the process do you notice the issue? Is it just after making the brush and the brush isn't seamless? Or, is it after making the larger canvas size and using the brushes to "scale" the pattern?🤗🩷
I’m not 100% sure, but sometimes this happens to me, too, whenever the browser updates. I think it is a compatibility issue between the pattern checker tool and the browser. My advice is to try another browser (e.g., Chrome or Firefox or Edge if you’re using Safari) or take a look at the pattern with the Pattern Checker on a different device. Sometimes the screen size makes it appear as if there is a gap in the pattern when there really isn’t. Best wishes 🤗🩷
@@Tuany971 Oh, thanks for the extra info🤗 To help me troubleshoot the issue, I have a few questions. Is the line in the drawing? Or is it a tile line (at the edge of the box). And, if it’s a tile line, at what point in the process does the white line happen? For example, is it there in the texture brush, or is it showing up in the final, completed tile? Also, is it a vertical or horizontal line (and, if possible, can you tell what edge it is on)? Thanks again for reaching out, I’d love to help you solve the mystery 🤗🩷
I love this tutorial. I think I’m doing something wrong, on the pattern checker I’m getting a white horizontal line. I keep redoing it and still getting the line, any advice on what I can do to fix this?
Thanks for letting me know. Your pattern is probably okay. This happens to me whenever the browser updates. I’ll check into it, too, to see if I need to fix some code on the web page to tune in with the browser. Meanwhile, my advice is to try another browser (e.g., Chrome or Firefox or Edge if you’re using Safari) or take a look at the pattern with the Pattern Checker on a different device. Best wishes 🤗🩷
@@LizNess Liz, thank you so so much for this tutorial. You opened my eyes to pattern making. I slowed down your video to catch every bit of what you say. I followed the pattern making process, and found the Pattern Checker shows the white, very thin, horizontal line in the middle on both Safari and Chrome, on my iPad. It is still amazing to see how the pattern looks. Thank you so much!!!

Thank you so much for the attention. The issue is on procreate not on a repeater too on the web

I had this problem too - I had to re-do all my quarters more carefully (and it worked!), because even 1 pixel off will create the line.
