With all the talk about changing the tundra's drivetrain in the future, I freaked out and bought the 2019 trd pro (my first truck). Being a DIY guy, for sure this truck will make it 1 million miles. I have locker down console safe, diamond back bed cover, and black vue dash Cam. Zero complaints.
My dad gave me his 2006 tundra. Is about 180,000 miles now. My dad did not give it to me in good condition. I had to get the timing belt and water pump replace. Had to replace right rear wheel bearing. The power steering pressure holes was leaking and had to get that done. The front suspension was totally worn out and i had to also replace that. The muffler is rusted out so I also replace it with a Brola exhaust. Once I got done with all of that. The truck have been great. The engine and transmission never gave me issue super reliable and I drive it across the states to travel for fun and not once it gave me problem. My dad went and got a 2019 tundra and that thing with the 5.7 is strong compare to the 4.7... But the 2006 tundra have been great once I got everything fix.
I had the same exact truck and modified to the max. Just traded and picking up my 2020 tundra TRD pro in army green soon! 👍 awesome truck overall-best I ever had.
LandMan76 just picked up mine up in Black and love it!! Do you plan on upgrading your tires anytime soon?? If so, what’s the biggest sz you recommend going without any mods
Tundra is the best Truck made! Not just opinion, these things if taken care of will last half a million miles easy. Sure a lot of Trucks Tow better, but not many people actually do that anyway. Or Tow properly!!
Love the Cement color! But I really wish you could get the Limited without all the chrome. Looking at a 2020 Limited possibly. Looking forward to seeing what the new re-design will bring to the Tundra in 2021. I don't think I'll ever get rid of my 4runner though.
With your fuel injectors start leaking you'll be wishing you had to Toyota get a few miles on a gallon you'll be able to pay for your repair save after your tranny starts slipping kidding I don't believe your getting 26 miles to the gallon
It depends where you live man. The roads, hills, amount of stop lights/signs, speed limits, how YOU drive has a lot to do with MPG. I live in Oklahoma so I get 17 freeway and around 12-14 around town.
Curious is that 15 mpg with heavy foot driving or just normal commute cruising. Also is that the small ecoboost or 3.5 litre. From guys I know that have them they say awesome power. I have a 2015 Tundra SR5 + double cab with the TRD Off Road package so far with 85000 kilometers and just oil changes in the Canadian prairies. I think unless you beat the crap out of a vehicle today should expect at least 100 000 miles without to many issues. Tundra mileage is nothing to write home about but like the guy said it almost weighs 6000 pounds.
It’s a lot of traffic. Not too heavy footed. But that’s about what it gets. It’s powerful when In the turbos. Kind of reminds me of a gas diesel. It’s either a dog out of the boost or a beast in it. I don’t know it’s ok but I ll be getting a TRD Pro as soon as lemon law is settled
Oh yeah got lemon lawed because it was sold to me with a broken piston skirt and bad Ecu took 3 months to straighten out and Ford was awful to work with no problem so I hired attorney and let them fight it out. Had a 2008 tundra for 170000k miles only real problem I had was with 4wd diff on front o replaced under warranty in two days. Back to Toyota for me
@@Kevin-lm9ex That sucks but its how the dealer and manufacturer treat you when something goes wrong that usually determines where your dollars go next time you purchase a vehicle.
My coworker has a 2017 EcoBoost on his drive to California and back to Seattle he gets an average of 18 miles per gallon. Lol That's nearly the same as me he calculate manually as well. I get 15 in City mix driving and I get 17 to 18 and a half both on the computer and manually calculating it at the gas station.
I've owned my 2018 since Feb '18, just broke 54,000 miles today...and you couldn't pay me to switch. The best vehicle hands down.
Matthew Kilishek what happened to it ?
@@duvielhernandez2887 He didn't really mean it broke it just meant it reached that amount lol
awesome! i just bought my 1st tundra today..2018...xsp..
These trucks are good for 1 million miles!

Love my 18 as well. Super comfortable.
I have a 2018 Tundra Crewmax TRD Off-road. I love it. And I have 23k miles on it so far.

I have ‘18 tundra crew max limited with 30,000 miles . So far so good ,
Love my 2018 Toyota tundra too 🤙
Just bought a 2018 Limited. Love it. (traded in a f150 with drivetrain issues at 53k miles) Don't by a FORD.

Just got my 2020 Tundra Pro and absolutely love it!!! Yes it’s terrible on gas but nobody buys a truck for MPG
lol
Check out a bed rug, you may find that to be a good choice for what you do with your truck. Love mine
You still have this ‘18? ;) how’s it going?
my 2003 Tundra is my only truck I bought from new
Very helpful video. I'm looking to purchase 2018 tundra. Thanks
This ain't long term. I have an 08 with 240,000 miles and I still don't consider it long term lol.

Great video! Really love my Cement Grey 2019 TRD Offroad can you do a video of your interior mods ie carbon fibre wrap on centre console and inverter?
You should show the interior and exterior of the truck more, instead of focusing the videocam on your sporty sunglasses...
I just traded my 13 yr old Tundra for another Tundra 3 rd one I love toyota Ford found the problem they circled it
The 1794 would look so much better with that satin looking wood finish than the ultra glossy stuff they use. I find it looks far better
Great Video!

never........ I am buying a new truck and everyone wants me to trade in my 4runner limited... I just say, "No thanks"
2014 Tundra #13MPGCLUB
I have an 18 Dbl Cab SR5. I too am loving it. Did you say the map automatically updates? I hope that’s true but I see an SD card slot.
Chief it's not the map update. It's your Entune system software that updates itself.
If you only put stuff in the back seat or sealed up in the bed why didn't you get a Sequoia?
P Ingwer because I wanted a Tundra. Also... I have a 4Runner alsready
Sequoias are crazy expensive also.
The link for the front bar. Tks

Scotty smith your a liar. A diesel is not that fuel efficient.
I. D.o.n.t think you get 15 in town. I get 11.3 in town.
I thought I was the only one getting 12 mpg in Los Angeles
15.4 the last I checked about two weeks ago. That is calculated, not the computer
Music&Mascara - yes in a small town and going to work is all downhill ;)
@@dannybuilding1044 you don't know how to press the gas

I have an ecoboost and it doesn’t get much better mileage. Averaging about 15 in my driving.

Sc where
Yeah right !
17-18 MPG’s on the highway (NOT !!!).
You must be confused with the V6 model bro !
Very little confusion. Owned a 2016 and a 2018, 5.7 both times.
It's true... sometimes I can get 18 even 20 mpg ...but usually 16...since I drive most in the highway
i get 9
why do short dudes always drive trucks?
I am not short, but that ia a funny question that I have asked Myself
