My dream is to live in a plastic-free world, whilst enjoying fruits and vegetables untouched by chemical fertilisers and pesticides. If they had a worm or two inside, I wouldn't mind at all.
This is my guess, but since Benzene was listed and he mentioned bees wax candles as a safe alternative, I'm assuming it's because most wax is paraffin wax which is a petroleum by product, hence the chemicals when burned like in a candle.
