I’ve lost 4kg in 3weeks doing OMAD nearly every day. My eating windows between 12:00-3:00PM. I make sure that my OMAD meal got high protein, high fiber, complex carbs & healthy fats. After that I do treadmill 2KM (1/2hour) + weight training (15mins). I skip breakfast & dinner. I’m 45 years old lady with 156cm height & who got perimenopause symptoms. During 21 hours fasting windows, I drink non sugary beverages such as apple cider vinegar with warm water or lemon with warm water or Himalayan salt with warm water & green tea without sugar. To prevent constipation, I eat dates, prunes, papaya & plain Greek Yogurt nearly every day. Hope this helps others.

I had a blood draw 3 months ago. I asked for a copy of my results, and I didn't see adiponectin levels anywhere. I have another appointment on December 9, 2024. I will ask my doctor if we can do a blood test on my hormone levels. Thanks for educating us on how our bodies work. It's a lot to take in, so I dont mind the repetition because it increases the chances I'll actually retain it. 🙂👍

TY Dr Li! Every year as the cold arrives (in New England) I lose a couple pounds! I’m chilly even indoors all day + my walks are now done in sub-50 temps. Doesn’t seem to take much for click-click whoosh! 🎉

This talk helps me to understand why I should stay on my diet (down 33 pounds with healthy eating and exercise). But of course, it intrigues me to ask, why people at opposite sides of the fat content window are driven to their extremes. It seems there might be a chemistry component, aside from emotional factors.

I've lost weight by simply not eating between dinner and breakfast. About a 12/13 hour fast.

Good for you! Dr. Mindy would encourage you to shorten that eating window…not eating after dark…and push your breaking the fast a couple more hours…I started as you and now have a 6;hour eating window…I eat at noon and 5 or 6

Father asks his 5 years old son:
    - Son, what a fat person should do to lose weight?²
    - Son: Eat less.
Simple asdat. It's not rocket science.

For some it is not like rocket science. For many its a mental disorder and for just as many its a metabolic disorder. I for example am overweight but I cannot lose not even a gram (I dont gain either) by eating less. Because my metabolism isnt kickstarting on using my fat reserves. And I havent figured out why. I dont eat candy, I dont snack, I dont drink soda, I dont add unnecesary sugar, I limit amount of starches and carbs.... I eat under my daily caloric intake.... it all doesnt work. The only thing I am hopeful and slight optimistic about is maybe that my low D levels were to blame as I greatly improved my overal feeling of being well by taking 25000IU per day. Together with K2, magnesium and zinc.

Go vegan for your health, whole food plant based.
Go vegan for the animals. Go vegan for the planet. Go vegan and be healthier and happier.
A lower risk of heart disease and cancer for you and a better planet for everyone, human and animals.
Eating healthy is not a diet it is a healthy life style.
Go out and look around. The vast majority of people you see are obese or al least over weight.
People do not need to be fat shamed BUT being over weight is not healthy and leads to a host of illnesses.
When you look around you can see all the unhealthy people without taking a blood test or a fitness test
"NORMAL" for the average American is "UNHEALTHY" The health of society is in decline.

Oh course I had to ask Google, “ Do Circus bears hibernate?.” No, no they do not. They are forced to stay awake, and this makes them weak and unhealthy. A few bears went into hibernation on the way to a gig, and the trainers forced them to wake up and fed them coffee and chocolate, but they were still too sleepy to do their tricks. 💔

Coffee only wakes you up and does not give energy. Nothing replaces good sleep.

@ I was so appalled by the mistreatment of the Bears 💔 They also give them cognac or bourbon, to make them docile. I know I’m off on a tangent here, sorry.
