    In this video I paint my golf cart. I took it one step further and color matched the club car precedent plastics as well. This Paint job cost me just under $115 total. Its not perfect but it looks good. The body has orange peel and needs to be color sanded and buffed. Over All I'm pretty happy with the results!

    Nicely done. I'm just getting into all this cart stuff. Did (doing) a 2001 EzGo TXT frame up overhaul. Lift and tires are the main thing, maybe motor stuff down the road. I Raptor lined it and it came out AWSOME. Cant wait to get it all put back together. I ended up having the frame sand blasted and working my way back up.

    My body shop will paint the whole cart for about $400 as long as I do all the sanding and bring him all the parts and the paint. Much cheaper then buying all those cans and putting all that time into it. And you get a much cleaner job in a spray booth. I would try to build a relationship with a local paint shop. But great video for the guy that wants to do it .

    So did you use primer on the body itself or did you just use the scuff pad, adhesion promoter, then primer sealer before your base coat?

    One thing id would have recommended is start of with a 600 grit sand paper and do it dry then use rust oleum primer preferably grey and let it dry then dry or wet sand it and then do a second coat and lightly wet sand it.. it is what im doing right now for both the front fender and the rear as im basically doing all the prep work for the painter i am hoping i can knock off a couple hundred dollars 👍

  • @jeffdurling100
    @jeffdurling100 3 роки тому

    You did a lot. Wet sand with 1500 then 3000 grit, cut with a heavy compound, use a couple more getting less harsh and you’ll be amazed at the shine you can get, If you want to really go for it, just wet sand, clear, and wet sand, and maybe one more time then start cutting git with compound. you’ll eliminate a lot of the orange peel and get a pretty glossy finish in the end. Either way, awesome job, You’ve helped me with getting ready to upgrade mine with a tempo front end and AC motor upgrade.
