Here are some good things about your number 1 city of Memphis. It has more trees per square mile than any other city in America. It is built right in the middle of a forest, so everywhere they don't cut down the trees, the trees keep growing. Secondly, Memphis pulls its water from the Memphis Sands Aquifer, which is 2000 feet down below us, and the water is over 4,000 years old. It is sand filtered so it is very pure. Only 2 processes are done to it-- flouride is added and it is aerated. Thirdly, Memphis is cheap. Rent is reasonable and groceries are inexpensive. There is no tax on income in Tennessee, and our utility bills are very cheap because we get power from TVA. Electricity is 9 cents a killowatt hour. Compared to Tampa at 24 cents, or San Fran at 36 cents, utility bills are cheap. The city also has green grass and foliage every where, and hardwood 5 story high trees that absorb air pollution, and absorb sound pollution.

Barbecue was great, but the Mexican food was nearly inedible. I could not take the high humidity there in the summer. Otherwise, I think that he described Memphis very well.

I saw a news cast last night (12-28-18) that told and showed how bad St. Louis, Missouri was -- I couldn't believe it. And there were a couple of other places in the South they mentioned. I moved from a major city in my native state, California, to the mountains two states away and am so glad I did. It's so much cleaner and safer and I am not stressed from the congestion and constant rushing, and since stress is one of the worst things for your health, I expect I'll live a bit longer now!! I really feel sorry for people who are stuck in a situation they find barely tolerable, and I think many are. Truly sad.

It would be interesting to see a list of the "most improved" cities. I can recall how South Bend IN, Chattanooga TN, Knoxville TN, Greenville & Spartanburg SC used to be really run-down "shit hole" cities back in the 70s. But today they are all sparking, lovely places. They transformed dramatically. Also, Bogota, Colombia, has transformed since the 90s when it was a DISASTER. I would love to hear about the places that got smart (or lucky) and managed to improve dramatically.

Graffiti on the overpasses, everywhere else. I literally found people with guns on the street. God I never went so fast back to the Delaware Memorial Bridge. New Caatle DE is decent to be fair. Not that bad, but it’s kinda bad. Littering on the streets, police surrounding everything, and god Wilmington was insane. A few weeks later, I went down to Salem. They were insane too. Just a Camden Jr. to be fair. I literally saw houses in graffiti. Wouldn’t go there if I were you. Pennsville has some crime too...

They handle their personal issues for their kids. They let their kids beat up homeless people. A white man was murdered in one of the shelters I stayed at. San Francisco, sadly, has become the prime poop place of California. A once beautiful city and deemed one of the most beautiful and culturally desirable cities in the world, it fell down the tubes starting in the 1960's, with all the 'beatniks' hanging out there and has pretty much gone downhill since. Now, due to the tent cities and homeless population there, authorities scoop 500 TONS PER DAY of poop off of downtown sidewalks and streets, and have to use firetrucks to wash the pee off of the area (which, of course, goes down the drains into the sewers and into the sea and pollutes our oceans). And that doesn't count the litter thrown around by these "people" who commonly loot, break into autos that park downtown, panhandle, and in general, really stink! Truly sad plight for a once lovely city now turned into a nasty hovel.

It’s really a great state. The people here are down to earth good folks. They will welcome a stranger and feed you the best food you’ve ever had! It’s hard to find better food anywhere than Louisiana. If you love jazz, like I do, New Orleans is the place to be. But yes, Shreveport is not the city I grew up in. You don't usually get a 'degree' from high-school, just a diploma. You need two years of college (or the equivalent) to get an AA (Associate's degree) then two more years (or the course equivalent) to get a college degree, like a BA or a BS and there's others now, then post-graduate (schooling after college) to get higher degrees like a masters or Ph.D. and so on. If you do NOT get a diploma from high-school, you can study and take a battery of tests to certify your aptitude, knowledge and skills. It is designed for those that never finished high school so they can get a GED (General Education Diploma), which is a set of tests that when passed certify that you have met high-school level academic skills. You can then enroll in college with the GED and get more advanced college degrees, such as: Undergraduate Bachelor's degree usually 4 years; a graduate Master's degree 1 - 2 years; a Doctoral degree -- 5-7 years; and a Profesional degree -- 5-7 years. The number of years can depend on the accredited college you go to, as they can vary per teaching institute.

I cannot believe that Tucson is 8th on this list and that there are only 7 cities worse than Tucson. By the way, the guy who did this video may need to get some education himself. High Schools do not produce Degrees. Diploma yes, but you wouldn't go to high school to pick a major and then get a Degree in it. For the record just to name one, I have been to Washington DC and this city , just blocks from the White House had many houses with boarded windows or bars. Memphis made it #1 in the list. I grew up there and its a great family pet and cycling city..... but its overrun by gangs drugs prostitution who literally hang around to recruit middle and high schoolers. There aren't any good careers, half the students that graduate can't afford college and end up dropping out or working retail (which makes it easier for gangs to recruit). City Council decided to build section 8 housing and shelters downtown which plummeted tourism. Theres a church on every corner that looks better than the members homes. Oh and the completely useless Bass Pro Shop instead of that amusement park which would've attracted more companies. I'm sure the FBI has offices all over the town. Even a family member of mine is in a gang and he's been let off so many times not to mention their rehabilitation programs suck. No way for parolees to make a living except back to the crime life. Our neighborhood, Coventry was considered one of the most deverse places in America ( Back n the 1999s at least) Shaker Hts was nearby and had mansions. I confess the "inner city" of Cleveland is one of the scariest places I know and I grew up in NJ across the river from NYC in the 60s and 70s when crime was at its worst. My husband got lost in that area once when he got off a wrong exit, during the day, he finally saw a patrol officer in body armor on the street, he did ask for directions. After sizing him up the cop knew he wasn't looking for drugs and was really lost he told him how to get out of the area and not to fully stop at any lights or stop signs. But once you get out of that area the rest of Cleveland is great, once you get used to the "lake effect".............. 🤔

Don't apply for a job at Kmart. The Theft rate is high there, and they're known for hiring disrespectful managers. They'll fire you for any little thing. Don't tell on any employee, that you see stealing there. Well, in 2010? That's what was happening. Most likely to distract you from a good job you originally had.

This town has some issues, but on the whole is a (((( GREAT )))) city and is growing like gang-busters! Investors are coming here in droves!
