    Thanks for stopping by! We occasionally do library content, but the channel is primarily about Batman! We cover characters, stories, inspirations, creators and more. If that sounds fun, check out this episode about the penguin! ua-cam.com/video/4ECG_FWMlSs/v-deo.html

    Very nice step by step 👌 I've seen quite a few creative solutions for book risers, from egg cartons to funko pop boxes. Even regular trade paperbacks and old VHS tapes.
    My manga risers are made from wood signs I deconstructed from a 2 pack found at a craft store. Each sign could be cut in half to make 4 risers. Add a square dowel rod and you got legs. After a bit of trimming and cutting from the miter and table saw then some wood glue and screws, tah-da! Around $15 for 4 risers that fit 2 bays of my shelving unit.

    Empty DVD cases. They're the perfect depth (at least for the manga published in my country), stackable and dirt cheap.

      That’s a really great solve for height and depth. I wonder if it work with my shelf width? Regardless that’s a really abundant cheap option that could work for people!

      not a bad idea but there is 1 problem, you need 4 dvd cases to fit in the standard billy book case and the 4th one will not fit. so first test it out at home with 4 cases then you will see what i mean before you waste money or time to collect a bunch of them. you could try 3 dvd cases and 1 ps3 case that will fit but then you also need to buy a shit load of ps3 cases and that is a bit more uncommon to get, good luck, i will probably try the wood cutting method. or find plastic cases like these in my country at stores.

    3d printers are super cheap. I got my ender3 used from someone and then upgraded it under 100$ including my first roll filament. Great idea ill probably have to use this.

    Hey man thats a really great tutorial! I also want to explore the 3D printing world would it be possible for you to make an indetail explination (Tutorial Video) on how to buy and what all to buy and go through the printing process on what all needs to be done on the software side till the end product. That would be really helpful if you can do it or if you could point me in some direction where i could learn all this it would be very helpful! thank you. Also i did try to find an online service where i could you know directly give an order for the print based off on the files you shared to see what the price would be and it is pretty high i was wondering if you do know a place where we can order them online.

      I don’t think I’ll be able to do that on this channel. But I will say I love my Bambu Labs printer! It’s made getting started very easy. If you do some UA-cam searches about them you’ll learn a lot!

    Hey. How long did it take you to print enough parts for a shelf? I just need an estimate

    • @batlessons
      @batlessons  2 місяці тому +1

      I don’t recall honestly, it’s been a while. Not terribly long. A day or two max, depending on how frequently you pull stuff off the plate and start the next print.

    3d printing is very expensive; I have personally 3d printed and know the cost of certain filaments and the amount of filament it takes to make a given object and this cost be gave you is very reasonable. You also won't find something allotted to the exact shape of your shelf somewhere else.

      If you finish the video you’ll find I calculated the cost of printing my own and it was less than 16% of the Etsy seller 🙂

    Hi, Is there a way to add a glass door even if I do the double stack?

    • @batlessons
      @batlessons  Місяць тому +1

      I’ve not done it personally but I do know IKEA sells glass doors for Billy. For the book sizes I’m using they fit entirely on the shelf, so I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t work.

    Can you do this even with omnibus mangas?

    • @batlessons
      @batlessons  2 місяці тому

      It definitely depends on the trim size of the book. I have the new shaman king omnibus editions as well as way of the house husband tankobans that are a larger trim size and they both work. Something like the bezerk hardcovers would not… at least with Billy bookcases and the riser model files I provide. You could probably make a similar riser for a Kallax book case that would fit much bigger books.
