One thing struck me watching this video is that whilst the van is just an old van ,you have a nice new shiny engine and doubtless it will have many new shiny bits and new hoses ,surely now is the ideal time to scrub the engine bay bring back the colour of the inner wings and bulkhead paintwork with a bit of polish? Obviously not a priority at the minute but does seem a shame not to?😊
Great vid and interesting on the turbo ,wonder how that would work on a carb set up as need one for my gt turbo , for the gear box would start by running it on atf will clean it and still be ok to run .
Love this van build of yours you a escorts turbo vans rs2000 even fiesta turbo but a R5Gtt van you don't see at all I had a red phase 2 Radbourne racing 5 back in the day lethal in the rain skatted like Torvill and Dean 😂
sure, steady progress is the best way [inc. nicking other peoples ideas] i would be flushing that box out with cheap engine oil, overfilled, ticking over in gear[s] for 1/2hr on the ramp keep it up young man
Renault traffic 1.9 diesel inter cooler will fit fit in front of the rad there very snug and both outlets face backwards not too the sides and should be iirc wider that the renault 5 radiator and fill the front grill space up

I think pro alloy used to do a rad/intercooler assembly. Pwr chargecooler is a good option too.

What about a p38 diesel range rover intercooler. I have one in the shed if you want measurments. I used them on fiestas and sierras back in the day
