Gaijin you're a voice actor just because you haven't dubbed something the weight you brought in that moment with nothing but your voice, I'd say that is the most literal definition of a voice actor. Bravo. The Borky part literally had me crying. Great job yall. This has to be my favorite boss fight yet.
MontyGlu and Edward Bosco? That scene an hour in gave me genuine chills. I am so floored by your skill and subtlety in roleplaying. This is why I love D&D; and why I adore the Unexpectables.
For what it's worth: Aproximate time from when Borky threw that javelin: 13 days. Rough terminal velocity if a javelin, according to google: 100mph In other words, that javelin fell for 13 days, and travelled roughly 31,200 miles. Would greatly appreciate any math nerds who could correct me.
That natural 1 for Seika after the first nat1. Come on roll20, trying to have a MOMENT here. And Goblin meowing in the background didn't help either but it was funny.
Tbh this fight doesn't seem very tactical they guy basically gets every ability to make him almost impossible to catch up to and he hit like a truck every time it kinda felt like the strategy basically amounted to "don't be unlucky"
Welcome to Pi's Nit-Picks where for personal reasons I go through new episodes of The Unexpectables and nit-pick it of any instance where how they play and RAW don't line up in a cinemasins-esque manner. Spoiler alert: because of how this works, I might have to go into spoiler territory but I'll try to be subtle about it. Disclaimer: I am not telling anyone how to play dungeons & dragons. It's their game, not mine. These are not criticisms, these are nit-picks. I’m not trying to antagonize anyone, I’m a fan just like you. Nit-Picks: 1:42:00 : You can only use Uncanny Dodge when you take damage from an attack, not a failed saving throw. 2:01:22 : Because of my philosophy of only nit-picking actual mistakes made instead of homebrew rules, I will no longer be nit-picking either the use of a non-light weapon for two weapon fighting or using two weapon fighting without taking the attack action first. If you want to know the RAW about attacking with two weapons at once, check pg. 195 of the players handbook. 2:16:42 : You cannot attack with radiant sunbolt as a bonus action without spending a ki point to attack twice, nor does Seika have a bonus action to use, as he had already used it to use step of the wind. 2:19:32 : Remy appears to travel twice his movement as his readied action, but usually you can only move up to your speed as a readied action. Remy, on his last turn, could’ve instead used his movement to walk up to the darkness, then readied his movement to move when it dropped. 2:23:34 : You cannot use Searing Arc Strike without first taking the attack action. 2:27:48 : Greckles would’ve rolled with disadvantage as the enemy he’s targeting is beyond his weapon’s normal range 2:33:00 : Borky rolls two excess d6’s for his Savage Attacks/Brutal Critical. 2:56:14 : Because Sneak Attack doesn’t necessarily have to happen on your turn, Greckles could’ve rolled his sneak attack damage in this situation. 3:06:45 : Because readying a spell uses concentration, Protection from Evil and Good would’ve ended on greckles. 3:16:40 : The arrow doesn’t deal its normal damage die with the Lightning arrow spell, it instead is replaced by the 4d8 lightning damage and the target doesn’t have to make a dexterity saving throw. 3:20:48 : Falling damage caps at 20d6, but this can easily be homebrewed. Also, I have a new player character who fights surprisingly similarly close to this boss, monk with the mobile feat, really slippery.
I know I'm a bit late here but I wanted to chime in Honestly I was kind of able to see both sides of the argument between him and Jade when I first heard it but the more I thought about it the more it dawned on me just how elitist Remy's point-of-view came across Not sure how Monty rules it but my immediate thought is not every living being has the aptitude for spell-casting and for him to just lay into her like he did was extremely fucked
@zombieslayer2016 I agree that there are those who just can't do magic, but that shouldn't stop them from trying to better themselves with the tools that they have. They could at least make the effort to learn to read. They have a library, and there is no reason for them not to use it. Hell, someone who can read like Seika could teach them if nothing else. There is literally nothing stopping them from trying or if need be creating a new written language.
Didn't Monty say early in the campaign that there will be no ressurection? And now we had the 3rd one. Sad to see that death has no censequences in her campaign. It's just a flavor thing.
I know zito did that for TFS at the table or at least made it a quest to revive someone but I don’t remember Monty saying no to resurrection. Though the way she does resurrection is a bit different since you have to persuade the harvest man in order to revive someone instead of the usual where you just spend the 500 gp diamond and that’s that. I do agree that removing revival spells make death more final and the players have to live with the consequences they made.

It's the small things that Taka does and says in the unexpectables like in this episode that makes me miss him so much.

A bolt from the blue descends...

*Panic:* Greckles!
*Greckles:* *_WHAT?_*
*Panic:* -Diamond- Dragonballs
FUCK. I love you for that lol.
Task is so consistent with the damage
Gaijin Goombah.... amazing acting.
Thank you, for always giving it your all.

Borky for the hail Mary!!!! Let's go. Also poor seika... panic good work
SPOILERS
I can't believe Borky and Sekai recreated the Dead Ewok scene from Return of the Jedi
Session starts 18:08
Goomba saying he's daffy ducked just gave me the image of him in a daffy duck voice going "your realize thith meanth war!"
*SPOILERS*
At 2:53:08 i thought Borky would dash to give Seika a potion
Also, 3:18:13 that's funny af lmao
Break ends: 1:32:30
1:32:43 The biggest lie Mark Allen Jr ever told: "The only thing I can do is roll well"
1:55:45 20mins I spent laughing at this and now hope every encounter forward involves it.
2:19:36 Best joke
UNEXPECTABLES 2 FIRST!!
2:57:47 💀
When Panic casted Darkness, doesn't Task have the ability to see through it because he has darkvision???
Magical darkness isn't regular darkness, it's advanced darkness.
Tbh this fight doesn't seem very tactical they guy basically gets every ability to make him almost impossible to catch up to and he hit like a truck every time it kinda felt like the strategy basically amounted to "don't be unlucky"
Would have been nice if counter charm was going off sooner, like right when Oni revealed himself, while knowing he has super mind control

1:37:55 hearing this was pretty cringe. As a dm i hate taking player agency away.
How does bosko manage to ruin his character every single session
