For your headers did you do long tubes or shortys? I have shorty bbk and im wondering if I get a different H back ill get a louder lope tone. I like my rumble right now, still think it could be a tad louder. Also, a cat delete possibly, but I live in Cali. Sooo fk me right.
I had long tubes and an H pipe and I was super deep sounding. The x pipe will be a tad louder and give you a small bit more power than an H pipe but the deeper sound is worth it to me.

Never worked on american muscle, but did build a SVT focus.have: For the stang, I'm looking at comp cams, outlaw axle back, 410 gearing for the rear, possible diff swap. But my main question is, do I need long tubes to get that raspy lobe idol or will the cams and exhaust mix suffice?? Oh and I have the cold air intake installed already (air raid)
I’d definitely recommend long tubes with the cams. It really wakes up the car and sounds even crazier. The 4.10 gears are a great choice too. Good luck man it’s a ton of fun.

If I were you I’d install all the mods at once and then get a tune once to save you money. Otherwise you would have to pay for a tune each time you mod it.

IMO it does sound very similar but I can hear what you mean about the difference. It might be because of the material of the headers he has stainless steel and I just had some cheap eBay headers that would have eventually rusted through. If I were you I’d make sure to go with a nice quality set of pipes

see in the comments that you were tuned by Lito. Do you have any idea how much horsepower you were making with this longtube/header/lito tune setup? I am also looking into getting hot rod cams and a lito tune
The gen5 tails are the best visual upgrade for these cars. Have the same ones on my 05. Unfortunately it's a V6 but I'm thinking about making it a sleeper
If you havnt done anything yet, Maddox makes a manifold and such so you can put a m80 eaton supercharger on that 4l v6. They make good power, very torquey, rev happy motors

Tbh slp has no type of tone it’s just loud. I’m sure outlaws will be better.

I use the SCT X4 to flash the car but I’m tuned by Lito. He’s great, definitely recommend him to anyone with a 3v

Lito will send the the files and programs to data log yourself. All you need is a laptop and he will send the tunes for you to flash on your car.

Nope. These cams are perfect the way they come. An intake and headers will give you the most performance gains though.

There was a small improvement with the cams before the headers. After I paired the cams with headers I really picked up some more power.
