Perhaps you could take a look at empty Vanish in the next video. It's when you have Sparking Blast activated and you press *and hold* the Vanish buttons. Your basic Vanish attack won't come out so you can do custom combos.
I think this game has brought in a lot of fresh blood, including me. This is my first anime fighter, and really, the first fighter I've bought in a long time since I went PC exclusive (most seem to have problems being ported to PC...). Point being, a lot of factors were in place to create a surge of noobs, so these vids about the basics are very much appreciated!
Francisco Frias If u do a vanish on a grounded opponent and it's blocked, then you can still press buttons without getting hit(u have the advantage). If u vanish to a airborne opponent and it gets blocked then it becomes whoever has the faster character wins
Correct. I ALWAYS forget this. But be careful because your normals may possibly still be too slow to beat something out, or the opponent way do an invincible option
Vanish into starting combo from the ground is without any doubt the hardest combo to make for me in the game. It's ridicilously difficult and monstrous respect to anyone capabile of doing this. Maybe on pad its easier but on stick... hell...
Great as always. Your vids and breakdowns are my favorite to watch and learn from. Piccolo is a particularly nuanced character. A tips and tricks video on him would be appreciated. He is thought to be low tier despite players like HookgangGod makiing him look like a true threat.

Well general rule is you want it earlier in the combo. It doesn't extend your hit-stun decay any so earlier the better. Either that or at the exact end of the combo to get in one last hit(usually dragon rush in corner into special, into super).
You should try and do a guide on basics about knowing when to spend meter and how to spend it. Lots of my friends struggle with it and throw away loads of bar
as a total noob just picking up the game, and binge watching ur vids.. you tend to call out moves and shit that i have no idea what it is.. for example early in the vid ur like combo into a sweep.. and im thinking well thats cool i wish i knew what sweep was.. and ur vids have this effect over and over and over and over and over
For some reason beerus has a very inconsistent vanish where sometimes itll combo and other times the same thing wont. Also is anybody experiencing issues with block. Like youre holding the back button and not pressing anything else and for some reason the character stops blocking midway
Trevor Wrldon Hit stun decay (how long till enemy can act) increases as the combo chain gets longer. That's why it's easier to drop combos at the end. The timing has to be tighter at the end of the combo, where the timing is much more forgiving at the start.
Dude you got to show your inputs. Is it a dash or dash holding down the direction you want? I appreciate your hard work, but the people having trouble with vanish combos need to see notations or how mechanically your doing the combo.
Well honestly you can easily eyeball it from the video itself. Do you see just a quick dash or a full on run? Don't need inputs to tell you that. But for the most case basic combos all you need is dash and cancel into a button, for something like the 16 setup as shown in the video, you will need a run.
thanks, I really love your videos. :-) could you also do a quick guide on jump canceling after a super dash? On the ground everything is fine, but after a super dash (e.g. a tag out) it fails every time... I seem to always jump above the enemy and miss. I would really like to convert a super dash into 1-2x jump cancel normal attack combos.
If you are going above their head make sure not to use LL(light light) as your combo but use light medium. The light light part of auto combo gives you additional height you may not want in that situation.
thank you. that seems to be the problem in general, even in corner combos. I always do LL instead of LM. I guess, I mash L too often. I am working on doing precise inputs, but then my speed drops and the combo fails...more lab time I guess :-(
Can you make a video on Option selecting tech options on a soft knock down. Hell do hard knock down too bc your standard IAD to cover up and back tech doesn't cover delay or back tech into parry.
I stuggle so hard to catch them on the ground with Frieza's 2M, walking forward isn't fast enough, double dash is too fast. am I missing something? Other than the enemy.
Everyone can do this? I'm having problems with it. I think I need to practice this for like a hour before I can do it unless its different in the new season

to get out of a dragon rush, either do one yourself, or try and hit it with a fast normal. Normals will clash with a dragon rush. Hope this helps. Nobody should be doomed to endless dragon rush. Also try to jump or avoid it, assuming you’re talking about they constantly tag your characters in

But seriously, its one of those things where the better you get, you start to know to how to look for stuff without being told. In the age of the internet there's so much help out there and there is no shame in taking it cause I sure didn't have it growing up. The more you play the better you get, the better you get the more you understand, the more you understand the more you can figure stuff out and pick everything apart.
Benny Sea some people are aural learners, also you cant expect people to know alot of this especially if they are new to fighting games. I've been playing fighting games for ten years and i still watch tutorials to learn bnbs and frame data, all in all this is practice i watch these tutorials while I'm in training mode and i'm sure other people do too, so please be quiet and let people get good at the game.

They either are hitting you with a low attack if you aren’t low blocking or are low blocking and hit you with an overhead

What I’d like to see is a video of some memorizable BnB combos and how to time them for say Cell or 16 or Gohan something like that

Usually if the damage is the same, either the move has a different property, or is much faster. Always depends on the situation.
specials either do more damage or have situational properties that are good like covering certain angles, crossing up, etc etc.

i cant do the vanish where you do nothing
You can only do that in sparking blast, and you have to hold the buttons. So tap gives you regular vanish, hold gives you the empty vanish

Well for me, it helps to have 25+ years experience in fighting games. So play fighting games for 27 years like I did and it should help you out.
