You know you're about to hear a whole lot of straw man argument when the "what is it?" episode isn't 5 minutes in before the next episode - "Critiquing" - begins early! Sheesh
This does not seem like a good faith discussion. There is no attempt at correctly representing the FV guys’ views on election - there is a difference between salvation and election in their work. Also in the PCA your churches sing Bethel songs about boyfriend Jesus and have homosexual pastors. Even the OPC has a bunch of ministers taking exceptions to 6-day creation… the unbalanced response to FV in light of these other issues is concerning.
I think the Covenant theology system is problematic... I love my presbyterian brothers but it appears that the CT system places a template over the scripture and flattening out 2 major covenants. Covenant of works which is scripturally backed being mount Sinai ... And of course the new covenant. I do find it difficult though to have interaction with covenant theologians who will examine their confession when it comes to the trioartite division or covenant of works. Again thank you guys for explaining federal vision from your perspective.
I do also think that the product of federal vision putting weight on the objective nature of faith because of the root of infant baptism. If the reform church is so worried about false professions of faith or a cold church it shouldn't start with infant baptism. Their pedoBaptist glasses tell them so but it has implications.
A "Non Jew" with "federal vision" should not be expected to become an evangelist. Keeping acceptance "personal" is as much a Christian life as the more extroverted behavior of an evangelist. We are not doctors of theology and your expectations are for the most part unexpected. I leave the preaching of the Gospel to an ordained priest who is trained and designated. I only found this "federal vision" issue by accident.
I assume your reference to "an ordained priest" refers to a Roman Catholic priest. Problem: the Bible teaches the gospel that Christ's death on the cross was fully sufficient as the atonement for men's sins that the Father demanded. Roman Catholicism officially denies justification by faith and does not believe Christ's death was fully sufficient. An ordained Catholic priest, therefore, is not a preacher of the gospel, but a preacher of Rome.
Excellent!

So are you saying dispensationalism is a better way of understanding our time in Gods redemptive plan?
@@Yela927 no, i think dispensationalism draws on some truth but we must chew the meat and spit out the bones.. I'm NCT.
