I have a big problem, I use two msi monitors and msi desktop which only has 1 HDMI hole, so I bought the adapter so I could use two monitors but it shows the same thing in both screens, like if I click something, it does the same on the other screen at the same time, and my desktop doesn't detect any other screens, I need help big time
when you open settings you can see how many display you have but i cant. on the other display it says no connection
how about the lockscreen?
HI Britec09 I got a brandnew system and am familliar with duel or more monitors but I cannot get this new system to connect to either monitor, I have HDMI ports on the back of the new computer and even with extend it won't recognize either monitor?

hold Windows (win) key & press "P" key for panel options, span, extend, primary only, secondary only, etc once set up as Shown in video.

Can you use this on a Dell laptop with no extra monitor? I want to fake having a 2nd monitor and in windows 11 it hates allowing me any control over my space. OTL The button brings up the menu but it does nothing.

It's the easy ones that catch you out
Whaddya mean "put the monitors the correct way"? I prefer monitor 1 on the left, not the right side, and then I run Premiere Pro across both screens after opening it in the number one monitor. Your "correct" way would mess me up, since it would make me have to jump from the far right of the number one monitor on the right all the way back over to the far left of the number two monitor on the far left. There is no "correct way" to arrange your monitors, just a "preferred way" which makes your system work the way you want it to.
Put the monitors the correct way you want them. I have a l shaped sort of desk setup, so I have my main monitor to the right

The whole snap feature is good.. The way to send a window to the other screen is just moving it faster and the snap will NOT trigger. If you move it a little bit slower the snap will trigger and snap
My screensaver goes to my second monitor and not my main monitor. What do I need to change to get the screensaver to go to my main monitor which is #1. thanks

A few days ago, my monitors suddenly became unaligned even though I don't think I changed any settings. When I press PrtScn to take a screencap of both of my monitors, a sliver of the right monitor appears on the left of the screencap, as if it's wrapping around to the other side. I tried messing dragging the displays around like you showed in the video, but now not only is it doing that weird wrapping around thing, one monitor appears higher than the other in any screencaps I take. What can I do?

I am confused about the importance of monitor refresh rates. Back in the day TV broadcast signals were set at 32 frames/sec. and apparently at 28 fps lately. I have only had 60 fps monitors and it does not matter if I am watching a super/blistering fast actions in a vid, there is zero blurring. If I remember, the 120 - 240 HZ monitors were to eliminate the blurring of fast action on a monitor. Thanks👍

on windows 11 you can create more than one desktop through the taskbar, can I link one desktop to the 1st display and then another desktop to the 2nd display?

When I try to open a tab it only comes up on one monitor so the othere monitor is stuck on the wallpaper screen
You move your web browser to the other monitor... Drag the browser from the top and move it to the other monitor.

I have 4 screens
Through a splitter. Sometimes 2 screens won't work. Sometimes 3 work. It will always show my desk top on all 4. But when I extend it loses 2. But sometimes they are there. One Sometimes flickers. I realised it wasn't a cable or splitter issue when the desktop shows perfect on all.
Can you play sound from both monitors?

Mine just has settings in Multiple Displays > detect other monitor. But it doesn't detect my Sidetrak in Windows 11. It worked fine in Win10 no problem? What can I do?
Ok Brian I am unsure of why a board should have a display port and an HDMI port - why not just have HDMI ports. I have to say I have never used a display port simply because I don't see why conveyance of audio and graphics should have two different ways of doing that?? Is there for example a special reason for having display ports?? As for your video on this it makes me wonder if there is something that you cannot fix!! as I have followed you for many years.🙂
Two types of ports gives you two options.
@@Britec09 Ok mate I understand that but it does seem daft that there should not be a universal standardised port ie DVI or HDMI and leave it at that.

Hi can you help I have a Lenovo ideapad C340 and an old Digimate monitor. I have connect them but I can't get them to work together. If I choose show only on 1 or show only on 2 fine but if i choose Duplicate these displays it says out of range. If I choose Extend these displays it just shows my laptop screen with no app icons. Do I need to change some setting. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
