Brilliant video!! Those lost lines were part of my early years and something you never forget, I remember them well, probably because we travelled by rail more than by road back in those days.
Great video as always. You've covered my local line some time ago, but always watch your latest releases regardless of where they are. Keep them coming.
Ironic thing is Wisbech has grown so much, and I'd bet top dollar it'll be well used, as Wisbech's growth, even in the past 20 years alone it's gone mountains ahead, but they don't have a connection to national rail, yet only being 12 miles from serviceable branch line tracks. The route is their, and Wisbech could do with a station.
Hi James just came across this video by pure chance searching for Peterborough videos. Absolutely brilliant video so different. I love the transitions from different photos amazing effect, what software do you use I'd love to know...I work for Network Rail so have an interest in the railway...anyway I've just subscribed to your channel. 👍
Wonderful! But why on earth strand rural communities and leave them at the mercy of unreliable and expensive buses? Now being built up, but still polluting cars have to be used. Bring back a light rail system..easily built on these flat lands.
It's absolutely CRIMINAL what was done to the rail system in the 60's. Beeching, marples & Castle should have been jailed.
Hear hear
Beeching had a lot of shares in motorways... he must have made a fortune. Greedy vandal.
This line closed in 1959 years before Beeching, Marples etc, British Railways to blame!
Fantastic work, I was hoping you would get to this line one day. Thank you.
Brilliant work !
Another evocative journey from my part of the country. Thanks for posting a truely great effort.
Another great vid. Please do the Sprat & Winkle line! Andover to Redbridge, in Hampshire.

Beautifully haunting.
Just outside Murrow was the Joint Line Level crossing where the M&GN crossed the GE&GN line from March to Spalding.
thanks so much for this video hopefully you might be able to do the line from Wisebeach to South Lynn
Superb James
such an amazing film.
Nice.
Shame that all these lines had to close - would there be less cars on the road if they were still open to day I wonder??? 🤔🚂🚂🚂
Lovely video but a pity Wisbech North and Wisbech St Mary stations were omitted from your photographic evidence.
Not omitted but rather not available due to copyright ©️ or reuse restrictions. If you have photos of those stations and are happy for me to add them in feel free to contact 🙂 📸
