Now that's what I was interested in. I jailbreak everything possible: from light-bulbs to kindles and consoles. Hope a more permanent and elegant solution pops up.

Depends, ps4 may not be relevant enough at that time to have someone even want to fix it. Its essentially like saying does anyone have new mods for a dreamcast. At the very least hopefully by the time it does go to shit ps4 can be emulated

If Sony changed the function of the Kernal Clock back in 5.07, I'm pretty sure with all this news about the clock again Sony will either patch put that problem OR put out an update to make it difficult to change the clock.
So in the future only PS4s that'll remain are jailbroken ones
Yup, until they fine a way to jailbreak them all.
Sony might fix this in a firmware update but I wouldn’t hold my breath for that.

@@MrSajjad1989 this is what i did i got a refurbished PS4 from playstation store 500 GB ps4 slim with total tax $ 262. And when it arrived it was on fmw 6.00. So i was able to jailbreak it and the rest history. Pray this helps.

changed the CR2032 battery and so now always date 1970 to change manually, in Firmware 9.00 .... .... .... ANY WAY to solve it? please

I switched to GoldHEN since 7.55, it's so much more stable than MIRA, anyways.

@@FARASATX Rest mode worked 100% of a time at me, but tried it only a couple of times so far. You have to enable apps halting (or whatever it's called in English, the last option) in the energy settings, so it will not close apps. When I disabled to pause apps on rest, it will fail to keep the JB state. I'm using Night King's website to initiate the GoldHEN, btw. Sometimes it took me seconds, sometimes 30 minutes.

Once again Sony makes the best argument for why we need mods and jailbreaks. People with these systems are the only ones with a clear solution. Everyone who follows sonys rules are at their mercy hoping they do the right thing.

I have replaced the PS4 battery with a new one, now I am facing a new issue, my clock resets to 1970 even after battery is replaced and PS4 takes lot of time to boot with black screen. Once I take out the power cable for a minute and plug-in then it goes back to normal but time resets to 1970 though I have changed to current time manually several times. Is there any way to fix this issue? I don't want to sync with PSN server using fw update as my PS4 stands on 7.02 fw and is jailbroken using the GoldHen 1.1. Please can someone help me on this? I am now regretting replacing the cmos battery
Same here. I replaced on mine which had fw 7.02. Now my kernel clock resets to 1970 6am every time I switched off my PS4 and turn back on. I even updated it to 7.55 but it didn't help. The only temporary solution is to use GoldHen 1.1 to play fpkgs only. No devs working on the payload nor any update on Kernel Clock Fix

it reminds me of the old game cartridges, there were some type of cartridge of a old console (I don’t remember which console it was) that when the internal battery of the cartridge runs out you lost the cartridge because the memory chip that contained the game files gets wiped if there was no voltage

PS3 can run games/app even with CSOM battery gone I think. Just install CFW/Hen and you are good to go.

PC master race will probably be able to take care of all this with some PS4 emulator.
Then you will be able to play PS4 games on your 4k or 8k monitor some time in the future.
Just like we can play games from retro consoles on higher resolutions.
Enjoy emulating 70% of PS4 games in okayish levels in 5-10 years. If you look at the situation of emulation with the OG Xbox from year 2000 or so they still haven't figured out a decent emulator for it.

Here's the fix for 9.00 kernel clock reset.
Step 1. Jailbreak using latest GoldHen.
Step 2. Go to Debug Settings > Playstation Network > NP Environment > Set to "Sp-Int " instead of 'np'. 'np' is set as Default. PS4 will restart with a confirmation. Click Yes.
Step 3. After restart jailbreak again.
Step 4. Now go to Debug Settings > System > Debug Network Clock > On (Set time Manually).
Step 5. Connect to Internet via Easy (this will remove any DNS settings that blocks sony servers)
Step 6. Go to Date and Time settings and Click Set Now instead of Setting manually. (You can select Automatically as well above Set Now option)
I want try this method. But is there any risk like "it will be update my 9.00 jailbroken ps4 to original one." I don't want switch "sp-int" instead of "np", i think if i do this it can be update itself when i enable wi-fi. In this case i don't want to risk it lol. I am okay with temporary solution. But i would like to know about describtive answer about it...

sadly no , that battery sole purpouse is to run the kernel clock 24/7 , if you charge the battery while its connected to ps4 might short it , so the only way is to change tbe battery and use the kernel clock payload

I feel glad I went with PC gaming right from the start (and athough i do have a few consoles, I don't use them as much as the PC, and I tend to only buy games on the consoles that I can get for the PC
that coin cell battery usually lost around 15-20 years if you frequently used the console (in daily basis and never unplug it on wall), else.... well it usually only last around 5-ish years on continued unplugged on power source.

Would this work?: "Disassemble the PS4. Plug in the power cord so that power is running through the console but not switched on. Replace the CMOS battery. Remove the power cord. Reassemble the PS4."
I haven't tried this myself, but the idea behind this is to keep the internal clock running/powered while replacing the CMOS battery.
Alternatively, try to switch on the PS4 while disassembled and replacing the CMOS battery?

I'm kind of new to all this...
I don't think that's possible. Online multiplayer require psn and psn requires the latest update, or a firmware spoofer(doesn't exist yet)
@@Ali-Sensei Yeah, but it should be possible to create a sort of virtual LAN over the internet to play at least some games which are meant for offline multiplayer on 2 or more PS4. If that's even possible. I just know it's on older consoles.
The trophies on PlayStation it feels like you are getting nothing anyway.
I like the feeling of building up gamerscore like on Xbox.

Zero BS, GoldenHen 1.0 gave my system a clock issue. It was perfectly fine and upon running GH 1.0, my PS4 suddenly thought it was 1969 and *no games would run* . Not even legit games on a clean reset.
The only way the console plays anything now is via GoldenHen, lmao. I now have to run an exploit to play anything at all on that PS4.
I obviously don't know if a FW re-installation (as a current FW update) will fix the issue but I'm going to update soon to test.
The 7.55 exploit isn't stable enough for me to care to keep it. Rest Mode is iffy still and I don't care to wait a half hour to get the exploit running each time I want to play a game.

Spectredev found something on his stream but it's still being investigated, based on the time between jailbreak it's usually 4-6 months but that's just me hoping to get one by the end of summer

Hey man, I'm on 7.02, is the jailbreak stable? I'm not able to update as I have a faulty BD ROM Drive.
All the 7.XX jailbreaks are pretty stable, with GOLDHEN being the best option atm. MIRA is fine just GOLDHEN has the option to put your PS4 in rest mode without the chance of corrupting your system database, allowing you to keep your CFW as long as you dont turn your PS4 off.

So basically the PS4 and PS5 are on life support and your one doctor/nurse isn't going to have their job forever (The PSN server). Luckily mine is on 7.02 and I run Goldhen, If Sony is really forcing me to then I guess ill have to pirate every game. It's damn sad because id rather support the developers but if in the near future my PS4's internal battery dies and there is no PSN store then I have no other choice. Sony you have just screwed over your customers and your own developers. Will developers want to develop on consoles that are on life support? To them it means sales for now but no sales in the future.

I mean the PS3 servers are still alive now and that's a free service on that platform, i'm surprised it's even alive now let alone PS4. Sony have many years to correct and fix this so this isn't a completely bad issue unless Sony don't do anything around the time when the PS4 is no longer supported.
So basically you have 2 options:
1. Jailbreak your console
2. Replace the CMOS battery
And in my opinion I would do both as my father owns a repair workshop for STB's with plenty of tools, that is if I had a PS4
My PS4 has facing the same issue. I just replaced the battery and added fresh thermal paste. Now my PS4 resets to 1970 even though I have set it manually so many times and PS4 goes black screen after reboot. Also I cannot update firmware and connect to PSN as its sitting on 7.02 fw which can be jailbroken. I am not sure which host is suitable for GoldHen as I cannot play any game discs I have right now.

@@sarahphyllis5782 Mine continues to reset, even using golden hen. The problem is that if I don't change the date as soon the PS4 starts the games are saved with the date of 1969, then when I continue previously game it won't start from where I left
@@rodrigowerle3764 you should replace the battery then reinstall firmware 9.00 on your PS4. I did mine the first time and now it works. Be sure to sync the time using the internet but don't update to the latest firmware

I have this issue rn. I thought it was the payload bug as it didn't happen to me on 5.05 right now I'm on 6.72. I have to set the time manually after every boot. Though I'm able to play fpkg but disc games give me the signout issue. Let's hope my CMOS is not dead
I'm using leeful 2.1.3b it's more stable works every single time. I read somewhere knightking host fixes the date time issue haven't tried it though

So with this C bomb issue you can’t use the PS4 normally unless it’s hacked. Sony should encourage people to hacked their PS4 in order to fix this issue.

This clock issue was not a problem at all on JTAG xbox, i have JTAG xbox anf clock keep resettings to 2006 but i can still any run games without problem except GTA V where i need to set the clock year to 2015 or above or the save files won't work

I had my PS4 Slim locked away for 7.50 Jailbreak since last year of May. When New Jailbreak was released. I fired up my PS4 Slim and it still worked like Brand New even playing my physical copy games and my digital games works after almost a year of not being used at all. So what does that mean Mr.Modded Warfare? 🤔
Doesn't mean anything. Your CMOS battery is fine and most likely will be for a long time. This issue isn't even a big problem right now anyway. It only becomes an issue in the future when the PS4 servers get shutdown.

I recently re-installed my operating system and installed the new remote play 4.1. However now in the options for resolution, it says it doesn't include the resolution for PS4 pro anymore and allows only 720p as opposed to 1080 previously.
Does anybody know why the 1080p option is no longer available for PS4 pro users?
I have been scouring the Internet trying to find information without success and Sony's support was utterly useless too.

Why 2 JB? Why not 1 non JB and used for online games with newest firmware? The best of both worlds. Personally I don't need online. Those online games are too addictive and time consuming anyway.

Thats a relief. Admittedly its not an immediate worry lol. But nice ro know theres a potential workaround for legit games as well as fpkg files. I would be very tempted to never purchase product from sony again if they rendered all my hard copy games (that i paid stupid levels of money for) about as useful as the box come in. hopefully by time the cmos batterys start dying we will be emulating Ps4 on our mobile phones anyway lol
okay what about right before you jailbreak your ps4, assuming you haven't done it yet, swap out the battery for a brand new one to make sure you're getting the longest life out of the battery after installing a custom firmware
