Should you buy a Ruggable?
I would recommend a Ruggable if you’re looking for the following in an area rug:
Washable. Hands down, this is why people buy #Ruggable rugs. The patterns are good and the quality is there, but the fact that it is a 2-piece design with a washable cover is the real deal maker for most Ruggables.
Interchangable Covers. If you want a rug that is lightweight, low pile, easy to store, and easy to change, Ruggable can be a perfect option. You can buy the Cover + Pad combined or just new Covers when you want a change.
Low Pile. The low-pile height works great when used with robot vacuums. It’s easy to clean the surface of the rug without the risk of getting stuck. (Note: this doesn’t apply to the new “Ruggable Shag Collection” which would likely not be very robot vacuum friendly.

Can this pad be used on vinyl laminate floors, or would it leave marks?
It should be fine, it's just a sort of rubberized material. But if you're worried you should ask your floor manufacturer, they really are the final say.
Is it good for carpet flooring? To place on top.
I believe Ruggable doesn't recommend them on carpet, but I see no reason why you couldn't use it on carpet.
It looks like the corners aren't totally lying flat? Is there a trip hazard?
I've never felt it was severe enough to constitute a tripping hazard, but others might say they are.
Can i use different nonruggable rug pad underneath.

My washer is a top load washer with a center agitator. Will the rug wash okay in this type of washing machine?
Yep, Ruggable works in all machine washers.
Has anyone had a ruggable on a vinyl plank floor? If so, are there any problems with it?

In my view, yes, but that is of course subjective.
The original Ruggable and the one we have here is incredibly thin. So it's not really like walking on a plush carpet or anything like that. More of an aesthetic choice than a comfort one, in my view.

Not all rugs. Many rugs cannot even really be vacuumed, let alone go into the washer / dryer.
