No need to pull the engine on most cars, just put a battery led light inside the box and you can see the flywheel and the slots easily and line it up.

I have that exact same dynamite tool set. I absolutely love the ratcheting feature on the handle. Saves a lot of work on a lot of screws lol

Looks like a good starter box. Im a bit concern the connector types. Some use the taymia style... Is there some sort of adapters to buy?

Does the belt in that start box last long time? Or do they wear out fast? Where would you find replacement belts if it happens too break?

Do you think this could work for a Kyosho buggy I have an older inferno mp5 from 1995

The starter box has a lot of adjustments for mounting the vehicle. As long as it is close to the engine setup that I use in this video is should work. I am no too familiar with the vehicle you have. I have seen a lot of their newer stuff and they do work with this box. Also another note would be to make sure the hole for flywheel contact looks about the same size as the buggy in the video and make sure you don’t need lower motor mounts like a losi.

Hey can you share what screws you used to replace your short ones on your personal box. I know this video you did your buddies and he was lucky to have long screws unfortunately I wasn’t so lucky lol. I have the short ones and don’t know where to find a longer screw with the same threads.

I wish I remembered exactly but I don’t. I have bunch of random screws from various projects. I want to say the ones I used I got from Lowe’s home improvement store.

Aaron Encarnacion they appear to be m3 screws about 1/2 inch long. Places like race day quads, get fpv, amazon and Walmart I believe all sell m3 bolt/screw assortment packages. It has all m3 screws in various sizes. It would come in very handy since a lot of rc vehicles and drones seem to all take m3 or m2 screws.

Josh’s RC Channel thanks. I’m actually going to try adding the washers with the current short screw if I fail. I’m going to take your advice and order a m3 assortment pack. I appreciate your response.

make sure the vehicle you have does not require special motor mounts to lower the flywheel to be compatible with a starter box like my losi requires. Good luck!
