Inside Bin Laden’s Abandoned Mansion Worth Millions!

- Опубліковано 4 лют 2023
- In this episode we explore an abandoned Mediterranean style mansion once owned by the Bin Laden family. Khalil Bin Laden, one of Osama Bin Laden's 54 siblings, purchased the property for $1.6 million dollars in 1980. Osama Bin Laden was the mastermind behind the September 11 attacks of 2001 and the founder of the Pan-Islamic militant organization Al-Qaeda. Khalil and his family fled under police escort shortly after 9/11, fearing they may be targeted in relation to the terrorist attacks. The mansion has sat empty ever since. Built in 1928, the property features 1,200 ft of private shoreline, 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a 4 car detached garage, a 3,000 ft carriage house and horse stables.

The walk-in closet in the main house is called a cedar closet and it's meant to help control moths from eating the clothes. You'll see cedar closets for things like fur coats. Cedar also helps to control moisture. Cedar closets are extremely expensive to build. In older homes, cedar closets were built. At Walmart, they sell cedar blocks that you can hang up with items in a suit bag. Those blocks are expensive and you'll start to get an idea of how much it costs to build an entire closet out of cedar. I absolutely love the smell of cedar closets. Once you know the smell of cedar, you'll recognize the smell every time. When I build a house, I 100% would want a cedar closet. My grandfather and grandmother's home had cedar closets and it's such a clean smell.
My dad built our home, which was my parent's dream home in the late 80's...!! It was a 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath with a full finished walkout basement and all the closets are cedar closets....!!
The "foam" inside the doors is likely for sound proofing. The wood inside the closets is likely "cedar" to help deter bugs of sorts.
I donot like your conversing about the house like it is your grossed by being there.
The trees are Live Oak trees with Spanish Moss hanging from them. They are common in parts of the southern United States.
I live in FL and I have one of them trees in my backyard and love it! I wanna say it is Spanish moss on cypress trees but I could be mistake. But I still love them 😍
Not cypress, live oak trees. Cypress live in the swamp water
Nice, adam the woo was here recently and was hoping another channel would explore the inside.
Very interesting video thanks for your time going there & posting this I shared it a few different platforms
Thanks a bunch!! We really appreciate the support!
The balcony is called a juliette balcony and it's usually for flowers on the outside not for standing on just more for decorations and looks good from the outside of the house
Thank you. I was thinking it was for aesthetic purposes. It's really nice learning about the architecture details and choices of other cultures.
I knew it wasn't for standing but i didn't know it's name😊 thanks for the info
A lot of Juliette balconies don't even have door's where the balcony is accessible unless by ladder, so the door makes that one even more interesting....!!
Thanks for sharing guys
The stove in the island was pretty common back in the 80' & 90's. I remember seeing it a lot.
The US Government ought to seize this real estate, sell it and then give the proceeds to the families of the 911 victims.
Word is "seize", and I'm not sure how our government could justify stealing this property and giving proceeds to victims of 9-11 when this man had no participation in his brother's transgressions. It just doesn't work that way.
You really think a billionaire designed and helped carry out attacks on U.S. soil with the help of guys wearing sandals ? Cmon bro it was our own government with a controlled demo and DEW’s
Why? It belongs to a sibling not to him 🥸🥸
Seize* lol
THEY SAID NOBODY DNT BUY HOUSE'S WITH #DARKHISTORY
Thanks for sharing. Love it
Thank you!
Oussama bin laden never knew this house existed.
The wood in the first couple of closets looks like cedar. It protects clothing and helps with odor control.
Loved this video guys!! 😊
Glad you liked it!!
The picture at 24mins & 15secs of the staircase looks like a floating staircase, super cool shot!
You all had me cracking up so much about the bidet. So so cute how you all were confused about it but still had an idea. ❤❤❤❤so cute 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That walk way to the garage looks a lot like that scene from paranormal activity
Loved this explore!
Thanks!
Those trees look like Weeping Willows Trees 🌳
Awesome 👌.. Tour guys
The island in the middle is pretty common in some styles in homes. When I had my cleaning business I had a few homes that the stove top was on the island. I found it odd as well
The house was his brother, who actually died in the house. The house was sold on 5/2021 for 7.7 million dollars.
Wow new sub here you both did a fantastic video on this home , thank you 😊
Thank you for watching and subscribing!! 😁
If you ever come to NJ let me know we should do a dual video alone with my channel. I want to start exploring/ghost 👻 hunting around various places I can get to! Great video! Inspiring!
The wispy stuff hanging on the trees is called Spanish moss. It is every where in Florida .
Cool
From Florida to Texas in the south moss is all over the place swamps of Louisiana
Not Florida it NYC
We call the stuff hanging down old man beard in Jamaica
ฉันอยู่ Thailand เรียกต้นไม้ชนิดนี้ว่า เคราฤาษี😊
Thanks for sharing ❤😊
The Juliet balconies are to make small rooms feel more spacious. They also give it the look of a balcony when the windows are open. One more benefit is added security when the windows are open. So there are a few reasons why people add them to a home. A bidet is for a quick clean of your privates.
Same here.hi there how are you doing with your family i do hope you’re safe as well?
Thanks for explaining the Juliet balconies. I always wondered about those.
hiiiii I think I know you 😂
Name it's bide
They're common in all nice homes in the Middle East.
“I don’t feel sorry for the cockroach, but I do for the butterfly” that is all I need to know to love you 😂
😂❤
You guys are awesome and ignore the haters you guys do a great job and I am learning new stuff by your videos ❤
Hello Esthera 👋👋
That’s a nice video. Thanks for sharing it to us. liked done.
Thank you too
It seem like somebody was handicap in the home. The shower heads, low light fixtures, and kitchen is given me that type of vibe.
Very grand indeed ,that bathroom, the pool is probably for rinsing off after you get out of big water, great explore
Im amazed by how you just walked in.
Off camera they probably smashed the door open
Definitely a water heater spot (the circle in the guest house)
This is the longest video better in def too compared the others doing it adam the woo didnt even go in there yall did love it
Thank you!! Yeah we tried hard to make our video more in depth than the others! Thanks for noticing !!
@@urbaxvibes your welcome its like other people are affraid to go in there lol
Thankyou just be safe I’m new I subscribed
Thanks for subscribing!!
The wood you keep talking about in the closets is called cedar wood and we use it because it keeps bugs away. The small lower "toilet" next to the toilet is called a bidet ( bidaaaa) it cleans you front and back 😊
Great video again 👏 I am aiming to do this soon
Thank you!! And Go for it!
The spray in the sink is for washing hair. That shape of sink is so hair washing is made easier. The sprayer helps rinse the hair.
The part in the middle is for washing vegetables
I remember hearing that About Bin Laden being the only plane in the air. . Thanks for sharing your video with us.
The room near the kitchen with the low hanging chandelier was likely the dining room. The hint is the low lying light fixture which is where the table would sit under.
Big mansion but inside doesn't look that good at all
The room that looks like for statues that is their sacred room (prayer room).
Thanks for sharing. Very interesting
Glad you enjoyed it ! 🙏
Great content guys, just ran into your channel, got to subscribe
Thank you so much!
The 1st bathroom could be for changing for the lake and showering before going into the house? The xtra plumbing in where the shower could've been a biday?since there is a double sink already there Guest house the room in the kitchen that has themometer looks like a pantry with camping shower
The fluffy stuff on the trees is moss, it’s in almost every tree in Savanah, Georgia cause I saw it when I visited there in 2011
Yeah, Spanish moss. I believe it was called old man's beard too, because it reminded the beard of the Spanish settlers, long ago. It is quite a hauntingly beautiful sight, you can see depicted in many southern gothic movies. One look at them and my imagination is already flaring up =)
The round thing on the floor you inquired about is a water pan for the bottom of a hot water heater! Helps drain water if water heater was to leak.
Fun watching the walk through. Very tasteful home..!
This house is in excellent condition to say it’s been vacant for so long someone must come there and keep it clean
That's a palmetto bug/cockroach. That's a bidet next to the toilet. Some bidets you can sit on. That one looks like a hover job! A hot water heater goes on the big black circle with the drain line. Cool video. Thanks!!!
I love the stairs
The black round pan on the floor in the guest house was probably the pan for the water heater to sit inside as looked like water pipes also there on right side
Since the receipt you found was from 2 years ago, it's possible they started reconstructing the closet, which is why they had those wooden walls.
All the closets were cedar wood. Keeps out moths. The one closet was press board. It was never finished out,and press board is weird for a wall. Usually used in flooring ,then tiled.
@27:52 👈😊 The closets are probably made up of compressed chips of cedar wood to avoid moisture, mildew and smells in order to keep clean clothes from smelling bad.
Nice to show that 👌
That is SPANISH MOSS hanging from the oak trees.
The large ground floor room with the fireplace might have been an area for dancing because of the indoor balcony that might have been used by musicians. The small door above leading from the master bedroom is how they got to the balcony. The master bedroom looks like a later addition. Thank you both for the tour.
Thank you!!
I thought the same thing it's like i seen a vision of people dancing in off white traditional garments

lol
Really nice and surprised it's in such good shape.
Thanks! We were surprised as well, this could become a beautiful home for someone
Isang Buhay na Puno nang malungkot na maghapon yong punan mo Ng Galit Ang puso Araw Araw...para lang mabuhay sa paghihiganti! Gosshhh!
The round metal thing you saw when you first entered guest house is an overflow pan for water heater.
Styrofoam an cardboard are common in cheap doors. Island stove top is kinda common! The circle thing an plumbing in guest house is for water heater I believe! Beautiful place to explore guys! Also watch out, I've heard of roach eggs sticking to shoes an being brought home!
Good to know wow!
Yes, the metal plate in the carriage house is for a hot water heater
The stuff hanging from the trees is Spanish moss and the trees are southern live oaks I would imagine 😀
Cool!
Nice looking pad, i was waiting for the spirit box to come out.😁
The round pan in the guest room is place for the water heater. The styrofoam inside the door is common way to build an inside door for a lighter weight.
His brother use to live in it ,was a bussines man in Orlando.
That round dish on the floor in the guest house, that’s where the water heater sits.
Ooh ok cool!
Guys the room you first room you went in was the bar area with seating area and maybe pool table
Great video .. 👍
Thank you!
Really enjoyed your video the music you used made it creepy 😳 😬
Glad you enjoyed it
The ball in the cupboard storage looked like a moth ball to keep insects off your clothes. We have them in the uk Great video again guys
Oh wow! Thank you 😊
Makes sense! We had no idea Lol thank you!!
@@urbaxvibes wear gloves guys
Wow you are so brave to go in and check.
IN the guest house that was a water heater pan on the floor. I would assume that was the pantry for that kitchen. if you look at the wall you can see where it was not painted as the water heater blocked access to it.
Those trees look like weeping willows, the fluffy stuff hanging is peet moss!
I wonder if they knocked it down yet, Cornerstone Group Development company owns the property and wants to build numerous homes/projects. The home sits on John's Lake, a real nice area outside of Orlando. Prime real estate in Florida.
Is johns lace anywhere near johns pass?
...sad, the mansion speaks the quality of culture of the former residents... that guest house seems to be where they pray together🥀🥀🥀
The black round thing on the ground in the back house, that's where the hot water heater sits. It catches the excess water drips if there is a leak.
Not a makeshift shower. It was where the hot water tank sat. That is a drip pan.
Grill on the stone tops are griddles u can cook anything on them
can you have 2 circuits in the same conduit power and lighting, just a serious question here? and also PVC conduit outside ?
The round thing on the floor in the guest house is the pan that the hot water tank sits on.
Great video, still a beautiful place.
Thank you so much! And it sure is a beautiful place!!
The circle thing on the floor in that guest hose the the drip pan for a water heater
There is a mast and mainsail in one of the boarding stalls.
This coastal mansion blends really well in a surroundings full of palm trees and southern live oaks. I can see strong architectural influences borrowed from the haciendas, with Italianate palatian windows as an elegant counterpoint. BinBin's brother had taste, he didn't just flaunt his money, I give him that
👌
the apartment over the garage would be for servants -like a housekeeper and chauffeur couple or something like that
26:23 we call those palmetto bugs. It’s like a roach but they usually come out of the palm and pine trees in Florida.
The stuff on the trees is called Spanish moss it’s not part of the tree but grows on them in southern states
The hanging stuff on the trees is called Spanish moss. It grows on a lot of trees in the south.
Wonderful video guys, please try not to contact items of all kinds with your hands without gloves. Thank you so much, keep up the good work .
Omg I was thinking the same thing
My thought also😊
Where's this house located??? Never heard of it this place before
That black round thing in the guest house was a water catch for a hot water boiler. If the boiler leaked the black tray would catch it and it would run out through that pipe you seen connected to it and down into a drain. That fence around the pool would have been put there by the city council after it was abandoned. Just so no kids would go in a probably drown.
It’s also possible that the previous owners put the fence there. Where I live you have to put a fence around your pool so no one can wonder in a drown. It’s reguired by our home insurance.
Great video thanks for posting
If nobody has mentioned; the tub in the small room off the kitchen at 42:30 is something that you would put a water heater into. It sits in the tub and the tub catches any condensation. Also if it ever leaked the tub would hopefully catch the water and the pipes would direct it towards a drain or someplace better than onto the floor beneath it.
That's all it is. Looks like a little pantry off the kitchen and a water heater was in there.
39:51
the 4 holes under the gable they are for birds to nest there
I’d live in it! Beautiful house 🎉
Wow I want one of those
The balcony used to have a custom railing made out of guitars and other instruments
It is not weird that the Swimming pool is gated. It's so wildlife that roams the nearby lake wont take up living in the pool or being an unwanted visitor in the pool. Snakes, aligators, things like that.
Amazing what money can buy!
you notice no door frames but 1 or 2 , but I did see a few hinges inside the wall frame
If i remember correctly this house was sent to the auction block where it has changed hands a few times since it was abandoned. i believe that when this was filmed the new owners had started a remuddle on the house. i don't know if anyone else noticed that some of the fixtures are newer than the early 2000's
