We have new episodes every 2 weeks on @blackriflecoffeecompany I don’t want to bombard you all with these here on Fullmag but some of their stories and information is so good! I hope you all enjoy these 2 legends chat! I think I may hire one of you heathens to run a Veterans React channel so I can upload all the longer videos as well as clips. Any takers? Also... any guests you all would like to see? I’m going to have Tim Kennedy and Mat Best on for Halloween 🎃
A good book? Try Louis Lamore -LAST OF THE BREED.....his absolutely best book to me ...dont get me wrong i love the Sacketts but this one is awesome...Dune is good too but its fantasy fiction.
am I the only one who has been askt by the instructors. what i did before. because I looked bored. when they they screamed at us the two first weeks. becuse I knowed about the game before.
I thought the same. "Who are these sprouts that have never watched 'Jeremiah Johnson'?" Also fervently agree with Mr Lamb's assessment of"The Revenant". Infuriating movie if you know the real story.
Fun fact about "sniper". It was filmed at the jungle training center in Tully, Far north Queensland Australia. And Tom beringer approached two blokes from 2nd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment and asked for help with some idiosyncrasies.
It's a classic and you should really look up the dude's actual history. Think he fought and killed something like 30 indians because they turned him into a warrior challenge of sorts lol.
another episode, or even just a long interview with them both would be awesome, this was really interesting listening to them talk bout their training.
The Mountain Men with Brian Kieth and Charlton Heston is one of the most entertaining movies of that type. Really a must see if You liked Jeremiah Johnson.
My son went through the special operations sniper school for the 7th SF Gp. He is now a CW2 fixed wing pilot in Afghanistan. I sent him this video to ask what he thought about the observations. Waiting to hear back from him.
308 brass don't generally come off the extractor cool enough to want to sit there and hold it...at least the ones that went down the back of my short weren't any fun
I love Kyle's jokes because they remind me of my father in law who passed away over a year ago and he was like my father also because I knew him before my wife since I was 16 and miss him so thank u for that
Jeremiah Johnson is one of the best ones . Have a look at " The Roughriders " from 1997 miniseries, that one is excellent about Roosevelt ,Rough Riders, Cuba and much more.
Wow. Thank you guys so much for your service. That 30 minutes flew by so fast. I could listen to y’all tell stories with each other all day. Awesome. Please do more like this.
You can notice the change in the vets during that last clip. I think it drudged up some difficult memories in them. The somber tone they kind of had (while sad) showed me a type of strength I rarely get to see and I think while it might not be easy for them, seeing that strength gives inspiration to us younger folk. Thanks for the vid guys.
@8:37 I have been to the Tomb several times and brought junior sailors with me for them to experience it, and never knew these Facts...Time to make another trip to Arlington. God Bless those Souls who made it there without intention, but welcomed home forever.
More....Kyle Lamb. Bought gear from Viking Tactics about 6years ago, its roughed up through classes but never needed replaced. My actual point about Viking Tactics other than value, is that im pretty darn sure the hand written thank you I found in the delivery was from his wife. That was heart felt. They even threw in a little camo pouch for free. That part was for Kyle to know I’m not bullshitting. 👍❤️
Absolutely loved this episode. I enjoy the funny and joking videos, but its nice to see a little more serious take in these videos. As a civilian, with much respect for the military, its cool to see a critical take on what some of the movies get right, and the personal stories are always awesome. Great episode, and great guests!!!
Thanks guys. I also went through Basic and AIT at Fort Sill, OK. I was there in the fall of 1979 and we were wearing OD Green fatigues. " Stripes " is my BCT movie. My favorite cadence call was while we were running PT and going by the Post Cemetery. Our young Sgt E-5 Drill Sergeant called out........ Drill Sgt: Hold you nose and bow your head C Battery: Hold your nose and bow your head. Drill Sgt: We are passing by the dead. C Battery: We are passing by the dead.
The grizzled elk hunter was Will Geer, AKA Grandpa Walton. And the old boy is right, this is the most awsome mountain man movie. It had me dreaming about moving to the mountains since I was in grade school. I grew up in West Texas so the only mountains near me were just silhouettes on the distant horizon. Another joke similar to the one the fellow buried in the desert made, the scene was a man coming upon a hat on top of a snow bank. He picks it up to find a head underneath it, and the head starts talking begging the fellow to dig him out. As the fellow starts digging the man urges him, "DIG FASTER! I'm on horse back, and he is really itching to get out from under this snow. Every time he tries to buck it hurts me something fierce!" Wish I could remember what movie that was from, it was another mountain man type movie from the 70s, but that's about all I remember now days.
when I went through great lakes in 12 we used little yellow bird, captain jack, and a bunch of popular cadences, we also sang the navy fight song every day, the only fight song where they sing about drinking.
i joined the Army because i figured if you got shot at, you dive in a hole, if you're on a ship and get shot at, you're in the water with the sharks. Also, if i'd joined the Navy i would NEVER be able to get that village people song out of my head.... (this was before Lonely Island's "i'm on a boat" which i would sing every day if i were to re-elist into the navy..) Also i'm not gay. similarly, i didn't join the Air force because if you're in a plane and get shot at, you need to grow wings REAL quick.... and i have a deathly fear of paper cuts. i scored too high on the ASVAB and SATs to be allowed in the Marines... so... Army it was! SWEET! another Fort Sill survivor!!
One of the things I always liked about "Stripes" - was the accuracy of the uniforms. Lots of military movies have terribly inaccurate uniforms, but stripes was dead on accurate in every aspect. Drill SGT even has his Pumpkin Patch, you almost never see that level of accuracy. Another silly comedy with very accurate uniforms - "In the Army Now" with Pauly Shore. Like "Stripes" - it's a goofball comedy, but they got shit straight. One of my friends, stationed at Ft. Sill during filming, is an extra in the haircutting scene. The Drills and NCOs during training - were all *real* US Army personnel. It really was one of the best.
Hey, Aussie here... cant sms you guys so will leave the request here. Would love to see you guys react to an aussie war movie called 'the odd angry shot'...
The supposed Johnson ( ie Liver Eating Johnson )rifle and knife is in the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody Wy. Was there back in may and took pictures of both and have the movie and love it.
Curious if theres a story behind the Canadian jump wings on Capt Ramirez there beside Dafoe in the stalk scene... or just a costume dept pick for looks/ "cool factor".
In basic, one of the platoons in the company. They had a career Drill Sargent, he was a Drill Sargent for 15 years. He was one of the best. Never too old to be a Drill Sargent.
I was recently at the Cody Firearms Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming - and I got to see the Liver Eating Johnson Hawken Rifle and his knife. It is a strange experience to be just inches away from those objects. If you like firearms, a trip to the Cody Firearms Museum (*not related to the NRA*) - is an absolute must. I didn't even make it to the second level of the museum, there was so much to see there.
I am a *decendant* of John Johnston. My dad got to meet Robert Redford when they moved the body in Cody, WY and my dad was a pallbearer. Real cool to hear someone talking about my family.
Great video, guys! Two of my favorite '90s movies (Sniper and Clear and Present Danger) were critiqued! I was in high school and saw both of them in the theater! I actually LOVED "Sniper" and Tom Beringer, as an actor, in this movie. On "Clear and Present Danger", the CIA actually used the vehicle ambush scene as a training video, or so I was told, for demonstration of a bad day getting really shitty fast, scenario! That's Tom Clancy's work and it's hard to bust his chops! That guy put his time into his research on whatever he was writing. Something you guys showed early in the video made me think of R. Lee Ermy. I had the honor of meeting him before he died and getting a picture with him. He was a SUPER NICE GUY, but even still, and I was a very fit young man in my thirties when I met him, I WAS SCARED SHITLESS when I came face to face with him! You can see in my picture with him that, although it was an informal event, I was practically standing at attention next to him! Back to Tom Beringer, you guys should review "The Substitute". I LOVE that movie and I'm sure y'all will rip it to shreds, but still...
Stripes was filmed at FT. Knox. My rotation was the last to stay in those same barracks before they tore them down. You had to wear shoes because you would get splinters from the floor.
Right before i left Bragg in 2019. For about a year or so before that. They placed the loud speakers on ardennes road and played music again. Mostly cadences sometimes it was the all American song.
Jerimiah Johnson was my favorite movie for years, until it was overtaken by The Outlaw Josey Wales. Jerimiah Johnson one of the main reasons that I've lived in the Rocky Mountain states or Alaska since getting out of the Army in '92. Thanks for bringing back old memories - I laughed.

Invite John Lovell, the Warrior Poet from the Warrior Poet Society.
FullMag please do the rest of the sniper movie series
am I the only one who has been askt by the instructors. what i did before. because I looked bored. when they they screamed at us the two first weeks. becuse I knowed about the game before.
Next time i see Kyle im gona have to watch some old movies with him and Lee. Haha
This whole video was like grandpa talking to his two oblivious grand kids and I loved every second of it.
I thought the same. "Who are these sprouts that have never watched 'Jeremiah Johnson'?"
Also fervently agree with Mr Lamb's assessment of"The Revenant". Infuriating movie if you know the real story.
I know the story of Liver Eatin Johnson, my dad told me about it when I was a kid then I watched the movie
Recommendation: Just more of these two.
I second that
“Hold 5 mils to the left and jerk it right” needs to be a shirt ❤️
Jeremiah Johnson is a great movie. Its cool to see him passionate about these classic movies.
Fun fact about "sniper". It was filmed at the jungle training center in Tully, Far north Queensland Australia. And Tom beringer approached two blokes from 2nd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment and asked for help with some idiosyncrasies.
Kyle is correct, Jeremiah Johnson is a great movie...and the buried bald fellow has some great one-liners.
ABN ATW Mother Gue never raised such a foolish child.
Yeah, don't understand why these two guys didn't get it.
"Running breeds cowardice" That was the funniest most warhammer-y quote ever
I cracked up when he didn’t know what tinder was but knew Grindr is Kyle not telling us something 😂😂??
HazMatt that was funny too 😂😂glad he doesn’t know about it he should keep doin his own thing
I don't always like Kyle's jokes, but Jeremiah Johnson looks awesome and I'm gonna watch it ASAP. Thanks Kyle!
It's a classic and you should really look up the dude's actual history. Think he fought and killed something like 30 indians because they turned him into a warrior challenge of sorts lol.
Excellent movie, highly recommended. Just be prepared for 4 hours though, it even has an intermission.
Johnson beat a guy to death with a severed human leg and then used that leg as nourishment in the following days.
It's a great movie
another episode, or even just a long interview with them both would be awesome, this was really interesting listening to them talk bout their training.
This was my favorite veterans react. I love the longer format! We don’t deserve Kyle Lamb. National freakin treasure
DUDE you skimmed over the joke about the moutain man that gave Johnson his rifle. "I'm of sound mind and broke legs" haha
Kyle Lamb is a riot. Any video with him in it is a good one. And bonus points for his love for Jeremiah Johnson, which my dad also loves.
The Mountain Men with Brian Kieth and Charlton Heston is one of the most entertaining movies of that type. Really a must see if You liked Jeremiah Johnson.
I have been to the place Johnson is buried. That story Lamb said still gives me chills.
My son went through the special operations sniper school for the 7th SF Gp. He is now a CW2 fixed wing pilot in Afghanistan. I sent him this video to ask what he thought about the observations. Waiting to hear back from him.
They don't appreciate real humor Kyle, I was laughing along with every line from that classic movie. Some people's kids huh?
308 brass don't generally come off the extractor cool enough to want to sit there and hold it...at least the ones that went down the back of my short weren't any fun
Or the ones that got stuck between your neck protector on your flak and your neck...
M24: Warm
M240: Hot
M134: Lava
I love Kyle's jokes because they remind me of my father in law who passed away over a year ago and he was like my father also because I knew him before my wife since I was 16 and miss him so thank u for that
This is by far my favorite vets reacting to videos... You need to have Kyle and Ryan on together more. Kyle has some good stories.
I just want to sit and listen to these two banter back and forth about the military for hours on end.
Literally the calmest guys I’ve seen on any of these interviews... love it!
You can definitely tell what generation someone was in the military by the movie quotes they know of that time
Jeremiah Johnson is one of the best ones .
Have a look at " The Roughriders " from 1997 miniseries, that one is excellent about Roosevelt ,Rough Riders, Cuba and much more.
Some of my favorite movies both MSGS Beckett and Staff Sergeant Chavez are the reason I wanted to be a Marine and a sniper.
Wow. Thank you guys so much for your service. That 30 minutes flew by so fast. I could listen to y’all tell stories with each other all day. Awesome. Please do more like this.
This is just one of those things I could watch for hours.
You can notice the change in the vets during that last clip. I think it drudged up some difficult memories in them. The somber tone they kind of had (while sad) showed me a type of strength I rarely get to see and I think while it might not be easy for them, seeing that strength gives inspiration to us younger folk. The 14:00 minute mark, that became the meme . This whole time I though it was Zach galifianakis 🤣
Joshua Gibson
Lol I use all the time on Ar15.com 🤣
Fuckin same!!!!!
This video was my dream team, Ryan talking about sniper films.
I can die happy now.
I love how excited Kyle is with his movie, and turns to the others with a grin on his face. Then his face drops
I usually don't enjoy these types of videos but as soon as I saw Kyle Lamb I knew it would be good.
Kyle Lamb is a true class act man. Wow.
Can you do a part 2 of this with these guys to finish the movies you didn’t get to?
Sniper. Saw it when it first came out. There's an hour and a half of my life I'm never getting back!
This was my favorite one yet. I like the longer format
Man thank you Richard. You're the man! Love Lamb and Cleckner
That’s right Kyle. Jeremiah Johnson is the best mountain man movie, ever 🤘🏻
In 'Sniper' they're on a covert mission, they probably don't want to leave any brass behind so people can't trace it.
You guys are awesome. Thanks for your service.
@8:37 I have been to the Tomb several times and brought junior sailors with me for them to experience it, and never knew these Facts...Time to make another trip to Arlington. God Bless those Souls who made it there without intention, but welcomed home forever.
Loved this. Keep doing like this.
Another great video guys... I’d love to see Flight of the Intruder worked into a veterans react video if possible 👍🏻
I LOVED it!!!! CSM Lamb was hilarious trying to teach these young kids about Jeremiah Johnson!!!!
I really enjoyed Kyle geeking out over Jeremiah Johnson!
One of the best yet. Thank you.
THIS IS BETTER THAN CHRISTMAS!
Yes! Ryan brought up the exact scene I wanted him to bring up with Berenger filing that bullet! My day is complete.
Jeremiah Johnson is a classic seen it over 100 times in my day with my father we absolutely love that movie oh and they still say he’s up there
Absolutely loved this episode. I enjoy the funny and joking videos, but its nice to see a little more serious take in these videos. React to Red Dawn 1984? Wolverines!
The grizzled elk hunter was Will Geer, AKA Grandpa Walton.

"Looked like a cleaning rod came out of that thing" 😆😂🤣 guy had me dying, I thought the same thing and he said it so nonchalantly.

SWEET! another Fort Sill survivor!!
They need to react to the entire franchise.
Plus, there were other scenes in clear and present danger that I wish they commented on.

100% can confirm. That book is a real solid book for long range shooting.
Love the longer format
Learned so much watching this. Please do more. looking up the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers weapons info...amazing...
I just bought Ryan’s book because of this video. Great video too.
Love it. You should go deeper into the snipper movie...
i love the movie Jeremiah Johnson, i saw it when i was a kid and it made me get even more into camping and trapping when i was a kid.
Hey, Aussie here... cant sms you guys so will leave the request here.
Would love to see you guys react to an aussie war movie called 'the odd angry shot'...
Brilliant video! thanks guys 🙌
Holy shit thank for the last two. I'm so ready to watch em now
I like this format a lot better than the short one’s 👍

A decedent? You write very well for someone who's dead.
I want to watch old movies with Kyle Lamb. Jeremiah Johnson is one of my favorites.
Best episode yet! Those guys are smart as hell

Right before i left Bragg in 2019. For about a year or so before that. They placed the loud speakers on ardennes road and played music again. Mostly cadences sometimes it was the all American song.
Good shit man we asked you delivered! I thought sniper was as real as a documentary when I was a kid 😂
"Liver eater" johnston was quite the badass when you read into his life
Its almost cold enough to watch Jeremiah johnson again haha
Kyle is hilarious. Love his enthusiasm
Another awesome show, thank you.
Try reacting to the movie "Come and see" from 1985 it is available on youtube with English subtitles.
That Redford movie was filed right up the road from where I live..
Jeremiah Johnson is one of my favorites too. And I also find it hard to take when nobody has seen it.
I could watch you guys all day!!
Ryan Cleckners book really is a good book.... even if you are a very experienced shooter. Theres always more to learn.
Jeremiah Johnson was one of my dad's favorite movies, I think of him every time I see it. His other big favorite was Scarface.
I think this is the best one I've seen..... AWESOME!
"A yellow bird, with a yellow bill . . . " yeah we still did that in the Eighty Deuce.
Edward Rigsby the moral of....
The story is....
@@509Gman to get some head, you need some bread
At 17:00 I recognized the book, i actually got it about a year ago and I had no idea who Ryan was
Had such fun lugging that M1 garand (9.5lbs.)around the football field in ROTC in 1971 !!
6:50 yup Ian from Forgotten Weapons says it like that which means it's LAW.
Dragon800 don’t you mean “gospel”?
Get it? Gun Jesus, cuz he’s, ya know never mind.
Jerimiah Johnson was my favorite movie for years, until it was overtaken by The Outlaw Josey Wales. Jerimiah Johnson one of the main reasons that I've lived in the Rocky Mountain states or Alaska since getting out of the Army in '92. Thanks for bringing back old memories - I laughed.
the 82nd land speakers still work.
Thank you for mentioning RIP...
This vid just got great energy no bs
