I am a high end driver and hellcats are the worst cars.The computers are awful and on street tires they have no traction anywhere--if you punch one even at HWY speeds it can break loose.I bought a 2020 AWD Stinger 3.3TT and it is enough for me.I like bigger cars and probably will be getting a performance SUV next time around in 2025.I always rent Audis on business trips and the A6 is great for travel.R8 is great but i needed a sedan and set a 50k limit and the Stinger came up as the winner at that price or under.

The hellcat also still managed to hook up on some of those rolls with the hellcat even being ahead briefly. So wheelspin was mostly out of the equation.

Charger Hellcat owner right here, I'm currently on a E85 tune from MPR Motorsports, pushing 900whp. With street legal slicks, I've lined up against Audis ,BMW, and Mercedes they can't keep up.

Even though I'm a MOPAR fan, I will say this race was actually fair since R8 V10+ is more lighter, faster, & aerodynamic compared to the Charger Redeye which is like a land yacht on wheels but still fun as hell burnout machine, no hate but simply stating my facts.
Yes but also down nearly 200hp. People will say a hellcat or hellcat redeye can beat a gt500, yet a gt500 beats r8s, huracans, 488s, while a hellcat gets walked by a huracan 580-2 and a the redeye took a hard loss to a r8 v10+

You do realize that at mid point in the race, there were no wheel spin on both cars, but the R8 is leaving the Cat. DR will only help a little, but not win the race against the R8.

This is very intentional…. make these things “unhoonable” and the buyers go somewhere else. As a Durango Hellcat owner i can tell you having traction is great but it makes the thing far less “fun” than the Challenger/Charger cars. Dodge knows exactly what they are doing here giving tons of power and limited traction… they are also at risk of collapse (as a brand) when EVs happen for the same reason.

The gt500 is fairly aerodynamic in itself, but also weights over 4100 lbs. not light either
You can however tell that the advantage is in the torque on the charger. You can see in the rolls how it initially gets going faster than the r8 does

My recent cars have been Audi rs5 2021,2018,2013 next car going to be Audi R8 2022 since I have a little extra spare money. But am proud my American 🇺🇸 dodge has created a dam beast. We are not to far behind the Germans can’t wait for the future hopefully we catch up.

Ive always said that. You can only use them in warm dry times and basically on highways. Otherwise they are potential accidents waiting to happen if you try and put the pedal down

The Charger got its snot box rocked 😬😬😬 simply no match for the Audi from a dig. On a prepped surface though the charger would do much better.

This is very intentional…. make these things “unhoonable” and the buyers go somewhere else. As a Durango Hellcat owner i can tell you having traction is great but it makes the thing far less “fun” than the Challenger/Charger cars. Dodge knows exactly what they are doing here giving tons of power and limited traction… they are also at risk of collapse (as a brand) when EVs happen for the same reason.
@@S8ER You can offer all-wheel drive but just switch it off in Sport Plus mode like many other manufacturers, then you cover the entire market and many buyers would prefer to choose it.

See what I already don't get is why I see people on here putting an AWD car up against the RWD Charger or Challenger, it's not a fair match up,eventhough the Charger has way more HP than the Audi,the Charger will spin while the Audi takes off. I don't get it! And the Audi is a 2 door 2 seater going up against a full size 4 door sedan, that's not even a fair race.

More aero, less weight makes up for the horsepower
a redeye is about the easiest car in the world to drive fast, all of the ones being stolen prove that, but you can't expect to beat a R8 either way. It's a supercar vs a overpowered whale.
