Great video I loved it when you do leather stamping/carving. You do great job and explain it quite well. Hope all is well with you and yours thank you.
One suggestion... Most of your tools appear to be about 1/4" diameter, so if you cut a small hole in a little piece of leather, you could poke the tool's head thru the hole, almost almost flush with the hole. This would cause the camera to focus on the leather--- and also the tool's head (which would be in the same focal plane as the leather). Then we could see the tool more clearly. The leather would provide a nice contrast to the shiny tool head. This should also bring the head into focus more quickly. I love your videos---great info for us novices.
Those push bevelers are nice. After seeing Don Gonzales use his, I wanted one. But ol Barry King doesn’t turn loose of his tools very cheap. And I happened to have had an old screw driver and some fire in the garage, so I made my own best estimation. Works pretty good.
Very good video Aaron. I really like your methodology for tooling and swivel knife cutting. I’m more a floral pattern gal but I have a deep appreciation for figure carving and the artists that take on that challenge. Well done sir.
Congratulations! Your work is wonderful! Thank you very much for teaching. Please, I would like some information: where can I buy these wonderful tools? If you could send me the link where to buy it I would really appreciate it. Here in my country, Brazil doesn't have anything to sell. Thank you very much!
Yayyy! I saw this was released this morning before work & couldn't wait to get home and watch it. This is so awesome, it is my genre. And you did an amazing job. Hope you have more tooling videos in the future. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for this, it’s really fabulous. I have one criticism though and it’s a massive one. Your store should be in the UK and not Texas!! That way we could spend lots and lots of money on all the glorious stuff. Sadly the customs and taxes would kill us to order from you from Texas. I’d just love mystery boxes!
Thanks heaps for this!! It’s just what I am looking for about to start making myself a skull tack set and was looking for ways to make my skulls awesome!!!
Any chance you would be willing to share the stamp number for the Bob Beard matting tool you used in the web? I've got pictures of his tool rack from last year's sheridan, and don't see it, so any help finding it would be appreciated.
Great video. You do beautiful work, I'm working on getting mine as clean. Thanks for the download, I used it for two holsters. I uploaded a video of me sewing one on my channel. Bulldog gun Rigs and heavy Stitching. Thanks again.

The bone connected to the gums is the jaw bone or alveolar process. The mandible is the lower bone and the maxilla is the upper bone. I thought it was interesting so I googled it lol
When you mention that you “use picture frame matting,” I have absolutely no idea whatsoever as to what you mean, or how it can possibly “let you cut deeper into the leather.” Will you please explain, or at least give us some idea as to how you even use it while cutting into the leather? Better yet, if you’ve demonstrated the technique in another video, a link to it would be wonderful. Thank you in advance!
Hey Aaron, any plans to use the puzzle templates on the tote and other patterns that can't ship in the mail? I'm making a bunch of totes and it would sure save time. Thanks
It seems to me like your camera wants to focus on the lines of your cutting mat. I reckon you could get around this by either swapping out your cutting mat for a plain one or holding up a piece of paper behind the leather that fills the frame when you want to show a close up. I hope that helps. Really nice work on the tooling, showing some techniques that were new to me. Much appreciated!
Awesome video first of all. Could you please add a link to/for the tools that you used in the video, especially the matting tools and the hand held lifter tool, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Thanks for the expert video and also for the free pattern, great work. Greetings from Belgium , Erik
I want to make a notebook cover with that pattern. That skull pattern is nice!

If I wanted to make my own template, what goes into spacing out like the stitching allowance, space between pockets, etc.?

What is the name of that matting tool again, please. I couldn't make out what you called them or who makes them.
Aaron, are you planning to do the construction vid to this?

Flip the mat. Should be double sided
Thanks for the pattern I can use a new wallet and this is perfect
For the push beveler. I don't have one, so which one do you recommend to use in it's place that I can get from Tandy?
I'm new to leather carving and tooling, what type of blade are you using in your swivel cutter? What size, is it angled? Thank you.

I watched and liked a lot. I still can't understand why it matters the order you cut the lines in. ?
What is the configuration of the ribbon wallet?

HOW MUCH DOES THAT SWIVEL KNIFE COST???
I'm not sure, it was a gift.
Why do you tape the back?
It keeps the leather from stretching.
