Nice find! But if you're going to get bigger tires then keep the 4.10s and get the front changed to match. Keep the gearing closer to stock after larger tires.
The little guy will be doing the heavy lifting next video.. growing fast! Happy for you to finally get this completed. Tires ain't cheap and I'll bet you could feel the bent axle in the ride. I, fortunately for me, don't have any experience working on rear ends. God bless you and your family, Nick. May He bless the projects ahead of you.
If they are both Dana 80s you can re use the limited slip from the junkyard axle. You just have to change out the ring and pinion in the diff. The ring gear I bolts from the limited slip and pinion comes out the front of the housing after disassembly. With the right tools it’s not difficult to re gear. I’m 19 and I re geared the front and rear end of my truck and had them both within factory specs. The tools to do the job right are pricey though. Make sure you do new bearings in the floating hubs and in the case while you are in there.
I can’t say if they will fit, but if you swap the ring and pinion, use the shims from the housing, not gear sets. It should be the same shim set up. Then double check backlash and teeth mesh. Very easy.
Also as long as you stuck with a 33” tire or below I would stick with 3:73s. If you are towing heavy and running anything over 33s you are going to want to put 4:10s in the front. If you aren’t towing a lot though keep the 373s your motor will be reving a lot lower and be a lot happier going down the highway.
I just checked your old video and you'll have to use your old axles backer plate on the driver side, to avoid needing a new caliper and brake line. But you should have everything you need.
You probably would be money and time ahead to do a new ring and pinion with a new install kit instead of trying to make your parts work out of the other rearend.

better idea!, find a 4.10 front axel out of a 2005 - 2007 and convert the front suspension to coil springs!
I cannot believe how big “little” Matthew has become!

Glad you found the Rear Axle you were looking for!! 👍😉💪
Thx, wish it was 3.73 but also happy it’s limited slip. But also might go with 37s instead of 35s and keep 4.10 lol

I would find a professional that knows what his doing with gears ⚙️. It’s kinda complicated and sensitive job. You don’t want to mess up.
Agreed. Setting up a diff is an exact science.
You’ve done a LOT of work to this truck Damn.
Thanks man, can’t wait to finish her, few more big plans
Best of luck ! Hope you find an answer on the gear compatibility ... lol

4 wheel burnouts? If the rear ratio doesn't match the front ratio both axles will be fighting each other when in 4WD.
Yup I know that, will drive in 2WD till I change front ratio

Did you ever have the truck aligned? The alignment shop never spotted the rear end out of alignment?
you will need a spacer to go between the ring gear and case (not for sure)
I need the the same 410. Were did you get your housing
Facebook lol
Make sure your calipers are in the correct positions, otherwise you'll have a bear of a time bleeding brakes.

Yea true, I think I’ll still to 4.10 gears and get 37 tires instead of 35s lol
