As long as everything has a home and you organize it and you do eventually use it I don't see a problem with it. It's when you hold on to things that you don't actually use and then they look messy and disorganized the whole entire time you have them that it is a problem.

Most important: do only what you can afford, what you love and what functions well for you, even it is not trendy. Learn to be content.

Right, we don't have a builder grade mirror, we updated with a nicer thicker mirror and it's a small master bath, so 2 framed mirrors would make the bathroom look way to busy! We only have a large walk in shower and no tub in this bathroom, but now we have a larger linen closet where the tiny shower stall use to be. I would love a knee wall to block seeing the toilet, but not alot of room there for it. We will thing of something.

A Fluffer but Not a chopper. 🤣 I go on a highend real estate app and look for ideas that I can DIY to incorporate into my home and elevate it's look. I'm also always on the lookout for sales and clearance. I've been gathering stuff a little at a time, and I'm about to finish out my downstairs full bath because I've finally gotten almost everything I need for it. 😊

I think the "chop" originated with down pillows. The chop shows they are real down, not polyester fiberfill. Who cares? They are your pillows.

    My motto:
Keep your house, clean ,organized and less is more. Give room for beauty and change stuff out with the seasons. It should be cosy all the time. It does not have to look expensive, have wood and comtable seating. Save on the plastic flowers, especially on the table.
Be real and make people feel welcome❤ GOD Bless you all ✨

Our local Home Depot store is well-run, with well-trained associates, and somehow manages to stay stocked despite our semi-rural, lower population area. Online ordering and shipping has been easy as well, and the customer service is excellent. So glad that you are being sponsored by such a great company- you deserve it! And, they deserve a high- profile, classy, wonderful spokesperson like you.

I think the biggest pay off with decluttering is the weight off our shoulders from having to spend so much time dusting and picking up around it. Getting items from Habitat from Humanity Restore to upstyle your older home is a huge plus. People move into a home that's newer than yours and don't like the homes style and send the items to resell. If they are newer than yours it's a bonus! You can get paints and fixtures there too! If you use faux flowers you should steam them when you go to arrange them, even the greens if they are fabric. They will look 100x better!

@@Sooz1234Unless you have been given family heirlooms and your mom or mother-in-law asks to come and pick up that one item you just gave away. Sometimes it's just best to hang on to these things and then pass them on to others in the family who would like them for their own usage or for mementos. Just better to prevent hurt and hard feelings in a family.

Congratulations on the Home Depot collaboration 👏 🎉
    I love shopping there!
I like the new bedding you added. I just went 2 weeks ago and purchased a new white quilt to replace my duvet as well. I've been working on decluttering our home and getting rid of all the things I've been clinging on too as well, and it's so freeing. The problem I'm struggling with is that I'm changing my style as I want a more lightweight feel to my home. I wish I could afford to hire someone. I've never struggled like this before, but I just can't seem to pull it together. My taste has changed over the last 25 years, but I'm finding it incredibly difficult to find my style now as I like a few styles, and I'm not sure how to marry them together.

I'm in the decluttering mood too, so thanks for all the advice. As for faux flowers, that is the only thing that will survive in my home. Also, I got turned off live plants, growing up, my mom had plants everywhere and most were ugly. Half dead, leggy, dropping leaves all over. Not for me thanks.

oops will skip all "buy some power tools" part and really like the window treatment tips. Noooo, faux flowers are the absolute best, I have many of them from either Dollar Tree and half price at hobby lobby. Great to see HD sponsoring your vid...really nice , love HD

I ordered a new quilt and bed skirt from HD about a month ago to lighten up my bedroom. It looks fab. I wonder what kind of removable wall paper they have...

I’ll never completely purge, when I have in the past I always ended up needing something and couldn’t afford to replace it. Plus I get sentimentally attached to things. I had a horrible theft years ago and irreplaceable items were taken and that really has affected me.
It’s also funny to me how one persons idea of affordable is another person’s idea of expensive.

All great ideas. I will add: please don't put so many pillows on your couch or chairs that you can't sit down without moving them. It's awkward to go to someone's home and feel like you have to perch on the edge of the couch because of all the pillows. I am a big Home Depot fan for mirrors and new cabinet hardware. Sometimes just changing cabinet hardware can make a huge difference.

I agree… We have so many pillows on our couch because we have the opposite problem. It’s so deep that if we don’t then people feel like they’re laying down! 😬 might have to get a less deep couch. It was a Covid purchase when we couldn’t go anywhere so we were thinking we would be watching a lot of movies.🤷‍♀️😂

Love your videos. You are so talented. Can you tell me where you purchased the 3 printed large pillows on your bed. They are perfection. And exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you. Looking forward to future videos.
