Kristen, love your videos! Would love to hear recommendation on good quality fireplace mantles to swap an older one for that would not kill your budget. In this video what is the mantle at 2:24 ? Also about faux ceiling beams to match the mantle. Thank you so much in advance!

YES! Moving into a home with a north facing family room in a month. Trying to do the research on how to brighten the room as much as possible. Will be waiting for this one.
Yes PLEASE! I have a north facing living room and just repainted. I used Taupe of the Morning by SW and its phenomenal, I'm in love with it, but north is just so hard sometimes!

I love pedestal planters! I love how you can create a dramatic effect with plants and various heights. They can make a room look very elegant. I agree that there is no substitute for clean. I'm a retired cleaning woman with 27 years in the business; I met a very high standard and worked for a variety of multi-millionaires, sometimes for years. Most cared about their homes and worked to keep them in order, but on occasion I would get the rich slob, lol. No matter how expensive and beautifully furnished a home is, if the items within aren't treated with appreciation, that elegance goes right out the window.😂
We have a nice house with art, wainscoting, fancy floor molding, hardwood floors, stain glass windows . We have watched all of your videos and have used most of your tips. Today we had a friend ask if our house is worth $1 million . This is the second time this month we were asked this question. A contractor asked me last month if this house is worth $2 million.
Our house is worth $540k.
Your channel works and it confuses people if we are rich.
I guess there are so many people that want to learn how they can improve their home to make it feel more pleasant instead of making it look expensive!
Start with your entry way! Declutter and decorate there first. It is the room that virtually everyone sees and the room that I always pass through everyday so it always gives me a jolt of happiness that it’s tidy and pretty! Everyday!
I recommend doing away with the common sheetrock look (unless ornate in design), use more veneers, wallpapers, brass trims, elegant drapery, art work to taste just for starters.
Tapered lamp shades are my favorite piece at the moment.

I painted my living room and our built in shelves the same paint shade as the living room Sage green, the built in shelves were white. I'm so happy with the results

Kristen, I'm so glad I found your channel! You are so talented! I love your design tips and style. What a genuine platform. I have seen so many other videos that are over the top and unrealistic in the sense that who has that kind of money these days? My design dilemma is that I have to replace all my floors in a 3 story home (I have a finished attic) before I can get anything close to any of your beautiful ideas. I'd like to keep the cost down if I can. Could you do a video with tips on flooring? I've gone through many of your videos now. Can't wait to see more!
Oooh, I'd never thought of my indoor plants as decor (besides the planters they were in) but you raise really excellent points about making them feel cohesive in the space. It may be why right now I only like one of my plants 😅

Kristen, is there a chance on your explorations you might focus on small console and decor for an entry of very limited proportions? Also, I use a wheelchair for all mobility and need a console that isn't more than twelve inches deep. Here in the desert southwest, medium sized homes have smaller entrances, opening into an open-concept space. Not all of us have the knowledge or access that you have and would truly appreciate an episode on small entries, with a realistic budget. You have such great taste and design ideas. Thanks!

Kristine, I have been asking you a five sit sectional sofa cover to choose and link it. I wanted beige sofa and I couldn’t find it then I bought another Color and don’t like it. To change a sofa or always cover with blanket very hard. Please help us. For sure helps many people.❤❤❤
