Just got our puppy this past week! I have always wanted an OES. And I think our family has laughed so much this week because of his goofiness. Going to enjoy these next 10-12 years as our kids are going to get to have him around all the way through hitch school and some college!
I love your videos on Wallace and Bee. I had an OES long ago when I was young (40 yrs ago!) and hubby and I are "expecting" a OES puppy now. Such a joy OES brings to life every day! It is the best breed ever.
I am on my 4th OES, 2 were mixes, but they all were typical old english sheepdogs... until now. Lmao. My current dog is the opposite of every OES I have ever met. He is a purebred. He can fetch for hours, he is a total guard dog, he has no chill. He is a rescue, so I don't know if he learned from other dogs or a weird owner. He makes me feel like I never had a dog before hahahaha. I love his crazy fuzzy face.
I love these dogs! I grew up with one that we had to put down when she was 16! Heart broken. Poor girl had a seizure and knocked my moms old sewing stand/box over on her self. She also went blind and in the prior year developed an allergy to her own fur. She just didnt wanna leave us. :( Holly Bear was my absolute best friend when I was a kid. She was so in tune with my emotions that she made it hard to keep secrets from my parents. 😂 My hubby got me one for Valentines Day this year. So we now have a rottweiller and OES. One big happy pack! Great dogs!
Rescued an old english. Was 18 months old, weighed 37 lbs, hair growing into hair, so could not stand straight. Great dog. Next door was a small ranch, horses. He would move them from one end to the other end. Seemed natural. Changed his name from candy to shadow. He was very happy.✔
We have our new Maggie from Tasia Hills, she’s awesome and we love hearing from you guys, sad about them become extinct. Maggie is 3 months old and loves to play 120% ever minute of the day.
That is so exciting!! Wallace still has the same energy he had when he was a puppy 😂. Keep Maggie well exercised and she will be putty in your hands!! Thank you so much for watching.
So pleased that you know about the Tilley brothers, the kennel was about six miles from where l live and l had a great puppy from miss Tilley just after she came back from judging the American centenary show as the guest judge because her late father had set up the OES club of America. My wonderful boy lived for 15years and was greatly missed. We have to date had five wonderful boys since our first boy in 1972.
My first Old English sheep dog lasted till he was 17 he pass away from old age. My second old English sheepdog she last till she was 10-11 and my last one pass 9 and half.
Forgot to say, one of the main reason for the decline in numbers is the outrageous cost breeders are charging for them. They are killing their own markets. Having kept this wonderful breed for fifty years l at 74 can no longer afford one which is a great sorrow to me.
Well it’s a double edged sword the price also helps weed out people that aren’t as committed to the breed. Plus it costs a lot to be a proper breeder with vet fees for tail docking and dew claws, vaccines and all their shots plus checkups before they go to their new homes.
You really need to, they will change your life! Especially when they are puppies. Everybody will want to stop you and pet them. Wallace is truly a wonderful dog! We love him so so much!
I have wanted an OES since I was a child. Mr Mugs got me hooked. I decided to get one 7 years ago, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Do your research. Get it from an EXCELLENT breeder. Wallace is my Karma’s big brother(?). Same parents, I think a year or two apart. They’re big dogs, but they think they’re lap dogs. The most loveable dog I’ve ever known.
Oes are definitely the most friendly breed in the world but don't underestimate their commitment to protecting the family, my first back in 1972 came to work with me every day until we had our first child when I left him home to protect them to which my wife laughed but on coming home some weeks later she told me she had had a unwelcome visitor who would not be put off even though she was told by my wife from the upper widow so as she kept coming, the dog got up and slowly walked towards her with his lips curled back and deeply growling at her and she walked backwards to the gate saying call him off misses.
they used to cut the tail off at birth but now in England and the E.U it is illegal and if you have ever been hit by the tail when they get excited it is not a great experience, we have owned a few over the years and I wouldn't have any other kind of dog
Howdy! I have just recently discovered your videos and am working my way through them. So forgive me if you have answered this and I just haven't seen it yet. I have read ona couple of sites that Old English Sheepdogs experience a great deal of flatulence (which would me a deal breaker for my wife.) But I also know that you cannot trust everything that you read on the internet. So what has your experience been? Thanks in advance.
Look at the doggie teddy bear. The cuteness ❤!
Thanks, Ed and Mel. I'm on the waitlist to get an OES puppy! Seeing Wallace is getting me ready (and excited).

We’ve just had two months with our 5 month old oes pup Archie he reminds me of a panda do clumsy 😂 great little personality already though.

The best of the best!!!

Joy is Amazing!
We have had Karma for 6 1/2 years and she is the most loving, sweetest thing ever!! I am grateful for my muppet every single day. 🐾🐾
Suzy we could not agree more! We have gotten two OES from Joy & only have the best things to say about her dogs and breeding program!!

I love the paws! You didn’t tell people about those crazy big paws.

OH MY WORD! Your Wallace looks just like our Hagrid from TasiaHills!!! ❤️❤️❤️
What a perfect name!!
I know of Tasia -- we got Charlie from Lakesong in Lindsay....just love the breed.
My first Old English sheep dog lasted till he was 17 he pass away from old age. My second old English sheepdog she last till she was 10-11 and my last one pass 9 and half.
They are such an amazing companion breed. Wallace makes us laugh at just how silly they are! We love him so so much!
Omg me too. 17, 12-13, 9. They are the best.
I like the bobtail old English

You guys are awesome! I’m really mulling getting a sheepdog. 🥰😀

Don't think, just get one you will never regret it
Great video. I think you might have the biggest OES.
😆
Puppy needs a biscuit or treat ! ❤
Mel Bch 🌴 We love our Sebastian too. 👌 🏄
Yup, no shedding. We don't have dust bunnies at our house. We have sheepdog tumbleweeds!

Great video.. although in al honesty, i was a little bit confused who was Ed and who was Mel 😂
I agree they do not shed!
@Gary Fletcher I do and I had them all my life. They are beautiful but even more so I fell in love with their charakter.
Our Ozzie is from Tasia Hills! Best temperment and highly intelligent.
Best temperament I have ever seen in sheep dogs! Joy is the Best!
@@TenLairsDeep Ozzie is our 3rd and we so agree, and are grateful to Joy every day.
How much does Wallace weigh
The bark will scare people away...great watch dogs...
It was a cute video😍
Docking tails is illegal now in the U.K. so my OES has a tail. And it is soooo big and beautiful.
Sorry to bother you.
I too want to keep a sheep dog.
Will I get them at India ?
Cost ?

I always thought, if Wallace had a tail it would be a weapon!
My OES just passed away at 14yrs old.😢
Oh we are so sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and your family ❤️❤️❤️
Risk of being extinct?! What??? this beautiful and lovely dogs... no way T.T T.T what is wrong with people? We need to do something!!!
We agree!!
Where did you say you got Wallace from?
Tasia Hills OES tasiahills.com/
That looks like Max from the little mermaid movie 🧜♂️🧜♀️🧜🦞
Do they smell?

Highly depends on the food - cheaper/lower quality the food the more your dog will fart. Or that would be our experience ✌️
😅
