Thank you so much for this pair of videos. I have an 8 month old OES and learning as much as I can as I go. This video reinforces my daily routine and gave me some new techniques and products, which I'm ordering through the links provided in the show notes. Lots to learn and enjoyed the series!
I am so glad you found me! And I’m happy to know that I was able to help as well as inspire some new things! Be sure to check back and let me know how it goes 😊
Amazing video! Thank you very much! Info about OES grooming is somewhat hard to find. So really enjoyed the video! And thanks to Edy too for sharing her techniques. Greetings from Guatemala! :)
I’m so excited that you found us! We have another episode coming for a show groom. Edy is quite the amazing one! So glad I get to share her with everyone
Thank you for the video, there aren't many videos on OES and this vudei very helpful and informative. One question, is there a reason why the non-white parts of the dog are not washed for show purposes? Is it to keep texture volume of hair intact while just targeting the white parts to keep dog looking clean or is there another reason? I hope there are more OES videos coming, I have been watching these videos many times over :). This dog looks great btw
we only wash whites before a show as we need to keep the harshness of the body coat and bathing the whole dog will make the coat too soft , we however bath the whole dog in between shows with several weeks in between ,
I'm having a terrible time finding any of the Plush Puppy products in the USA - I've switched to Artero but would still love to find a better supplier for the Plush Puppy!
I hate doing long haired large breeds. It seems like such a pointless endeavor. The dogs hate it, it hurts them, I hate hurting them and making them stand on the table for hours for drying and brushing... I refer the long haired giant doodles to other groomers.
@@ikescepanski7331 I feel it is better to say “cut [or clip] them short”. Those new to the OES breed might use the word “shave” when talking to their groomer and end up with their dog shaved down to the skin. This is not advised for various reasons - risk of post-clipping alopecia, sunburn, overheating (due to no longer having a double coat), and even skin cancer. The only time an OES should be shaved down to the skin is if the coat is seriously neglected and attempting to de-mat much of the coat would be too painful for the pup.
You are a very professionel groomer! But I think, showdogs has to much hair. I'm a OES owner since 35 years. To cut the hair short is a sin, but I remove the undercoat a little bit. And please, don't cut the puppies tail....the are really so wonderful with tails...
hi if you haven’t yet pls repent from your sins!! I saw you cussed and used God’s name in vain ! pls letting Jesus into your life is the best decision ever!💞
Super interesting to see the differences in breeds! We breed and show Aussies and it’s such a crazy difference
I know right? But what is so cool is to see that some of the techniques and tips can definitely be used on a multitude of breeds!

Adorable and fluffy right?
I love. Fantastic 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Could you recommend a grooming table for OES? I’ve bone it on the floor for decades but it’s too hard on my back as I age.
An electric grooming table. It goes up and down with a foot pedal
Hi we have had oes for over 35 years they are hard work but worth it , I’ve got to admit mine are not show dogs so not as well groomed as this one ..
Bless you, Edy! Too much for me!
I know right?! Sometimes I have a hard time just brushing my own hair in the morning! Thank God for rubber bands and hair ties
@@BestInShowBitch my first breed was poodles. I think the OES are even more work!

Can you do a video on Bearded Collies?
Hi I was wondering, do you remove the undercoat from old English sheepdogs when grooming them?
Thanks so much.

I am a bit confused with the brush models, can you tell me the specific models, thank you very much, kind regards from Barcelona.
4hrs brushing yesterday. My hand is dying. What did you charge ??
It’s brutal right? This is her own dog so she does it out of love and passion. Could not imagine what a groomer would charge
