    I'm very impressed with Samsung wash performances. I really like that they have spray rinses in between spins. I just dont think a spray rinse is required for the final rinse. That rinses away most of the fabric softener that you put in. Thee amount of detergent you use van be determined by many factors. Such as how hard or soft your water is and load size.

    • @borregoimages8117
      @borregoimages8117  7 років тому

    I hope u know how helpful this video is, even today. I was watching my clothes flop around and it didn't appear like it had enough water. Seems like I can only wash 5 items at a time. That's definitely not energy-efficient. I will say the next machine I purchase will have an agitator like the ole school top washers had.

  • @LilNing
    @LilNing 6 років тому +14

    Hello, thanks for showing how this washer works. I just bought this unit, did a few washes, and notice there's really little water during both wash and rinse cycle. I thought maybe I got a defective item, glad I found this video and see that yours does the same thing! I'm so used to top loaders filling up the whole tank with water, or at least half tank for smaller load. This unit doesn't emerge the clothes in water at all. I feel like the clothes are not gonna be washed clean enough, how do you get something clean with nearly no water, is that the case??

    • @borregoimages8117
      @borregoimages8117  6 років тому +12

      So, how these front loading units work as differently to the top loader is that that its approach to cleaning is by utilizing a tumbling effect rather than the blossom effect. The low amounts of water (2.5 gallons of water) as opposed to modern top loaders (14 gallons- 26 gallons of water per load) allow the clothes to agitate onto each other as opposed to floating in dirty water. So, the lack of water helps with deeper agitation which tends to be more effective of washing. Also, you're utilizing less electricity during the heated wash cycles, shorter periods of drying with it's 1300 rotations in a minute which leave the clothes virtually dry at the end and using a direct drive motor allows the tub to change directions at random during every cycle which is more reliable than a belt drive system and because it changes at random it allows all the clothes to get properly treated in a delicate manner.

      I totally agree.

    • @mesonichue6198
      @mesonichue6198 5 років тому +1

      Such a stupid design. Detergent runs right out the drain holes with the first minute of water. Then it doesn’t even fill enough to ‘wash(rinse) away’ the dirt and particles on the clothes.
      I have 4 dogs and so lots of dog hair plus two of us with long hair. Towels and blankets will come out still covered with hair because there is not enough water to ‘float’ away the hair like in an old fashioned top loader. And it balls blankets and sheets up so tightly that the hair cannot get out of the fabric ball.
      I wish these were like laundry mat front loaders and had some water to rinse away the hair. The clothes need to ‘float’ so the hair and dirt can also float away down the drain. But its difficult to find an old fashioned washer with the tall stalk in the middle that really moves the clothes without twisting them into a tight ball.
      The matching dryer is even worse at balling up comforters, blankets and sheets. Towels especially will come out with hair embedded into them. I go to dry my hands and will have a big long hair stuck in the towels that I have to pull off.

    I enjoyed your video so much! Thank you for uploading:) subscribed immediately! btw does American model of Samsung washer has eco bubble option? And It’s weird that why they don’t have jet spray in wash action lol they should pump up the detergent under the drum and spray it onto the clothes

    • @borregoimages8117
      @borregoimages8117  7 років тому

      It's actually funny that you ask that, because certain models have "powerfoam" which is the equivalent of eco bubble. In which the unit uses a co2 tank to inject air into the detergent to produce foam instead of the standard water mixing with detergent method. xD

    • @alexming9179
      @alexming9179 7 років тому +1

      Frank Borrego yes exactly, and I used to think that maybe power foam only exist in expensive model, but the newest Samsung flexwash doesn’t have the power foam either lol 😂 but I really like that this washer directly mix and inject detergent to the clothes at the very beginning :) anyway congratulations on having this amazing washer ;)

After that initial rinse and spin you probably wont see much or any detergent foam lingering for that matter. But, I wouldn't put more soap in there all that will cause is residual mold/mildew and foul odors because of the accumulation located in your outer tub.

    Thanks for this video but I have a question. I bought the same model recently and I don't know whether the clicking and banging are normal sounds. It is heard in your video at 16:00 and especially 16:10. I was hoping you didn't jumpcut to 16:30 suddenly but the clicking and banging is very loud as it's building to a high speed spin cycle. In your experience are these actually normal sounds? I'm just wondering cause it almost looks like the excessive inner tub banging tripped the safety sensors and stopped the spin. Thanks

    • @borregoimages8117
      @borregoimages8117  7 років тому

      Sorry for the late response bud, So, that was actually in full for those few seconds before the jump cut because it was spinning out for that short period of time before refilling. That's when I jump cut to the second spin. It can be the suspension rod's are wearing down, could be the lack of clothes in the tub.

  • @RaulGonzalez-uf6vk

      I have and to be truthfully honest on these newer units it doesnt seem like it consumes a whole lot of water. The delicate cycle definitely has a more gentle wash what with the direct drive motor being less agressive with the agitation. What I have gathered is Bedding/Perm Press/Quick Wash utilize the most amounts of water at the highest settings.

    I bought this machine a month ago from Costco for I think $649.99 Cdn. My model doesn't have a W at the end - not sure if that makes a difference. I was hoping this video showed a few more seconds at the end because I noticed that after the spin cycle, my clothes are stuck to the walls of the drum so tightly. When I pull them out, there are so many wrinkles that are so set in. I was quite surprised to experience this as my previous machine, which was a Kenmore, slowly circled in both directions at the end of the spin cycle to loosen the clothes. They were never plastered stuck to the walls of the inside. I naively assumed all front loaders did this. In this video, the clothes look all loose at the end. I'm wondering how that could happen after such a fast spin.
    By the way, there was nothing wrong with my 15+ year-old Kenmore. My 11-year-old daughter tried to do a load of laundry by herself, didn't put enough clothes in, the machine became unbalanced, made a continuously really bad popping noise and my husband said the bearings were gone. It was a great machine - never gave me a problem - never had to call a service person.

    • @borregoimages8117
      @borregoimages8117  6 років тому +1

      Kenmores... such great machines. These newer washers do spin really fast by comparison though. Older units would spin between 350-550 rotations per minutes assuming it's a belt drive unit. This unit in particular is using a direct drive motor which will spin on average 1,300 times in a minute. 😬

    • @ImagineJulii
      @ImagineJulii 5 років тому

      I love that they spin at high speeds, clothes come out feeling close to dry as is and with the dryer its barely 20 minutes before everything is bone dry 10 min if its a half load and I'm splitting it in half. Best thing ever!

    • @borregoimages8117
      @borregoimages8117  7 років тому +1

      Alright, so just to make sure the tray is left with the Fabric Softener? The tray does fill up with water so, if that's what's left over make sure to either dump out the excess water in between washes. But, if it's liquid fabric softener make sure your model doesnt have the softener option on the panel. Because if it does and it happens to not be activated that'll cause that error. But, my advice is stop using Fabric Softener sooner rather than later. It's terrible for HE units. :)

      @borregoimages8117  6 років тому +1

      Truth be told, the front loading units have a better suspension system then most top loaders. Which make them less like to go off balance during a high spin with mixed fabrics as opposed to the top loaders that have 4 suspension rods on each side and go off balance in a heart beat if you try to mix load's. Now, there's no denying that parts wear down through time but running a small load in a front load is much smoother than on a top load.

      @mconnors625 4 роки тому

      Yes. During both rinse and spin cycles. The washer is level but the drum sounds like it is knocking against the inside of the washer casing. This goes on for a couple of revolutions then the drum stops rotating. So I guess it is rebalancing at this point but then repeats this process over and over. I have to say the pounding sound As brief as it is is unnerving. It is like the drum wants to spin for several revolutions but simply can’t due to some sort of balancing error.

      It could very well be your drain pump motor has gone out, Diana.

      Or their might be a clog in the drain trap thats located on the bottom right of the unit. Its like a plastic trap door with a filter and water line.

    Would be nice to know the SHORTEST time for QUICK WASH, rather than you do a QUICK wash using EVERY OPTION TO INCREASE THE TIME!

      Quick was with all the lowest settings, cold water, one rinse would be the shortest cycle on the unit.

    • @bogdannb

      Borrego Images Because 40 minute wash on my washer is actually Daily program that can wash full drum of clothes in 39 minutes in cool water. Thats why I thought that Quick cycle should be quicker. Theres quick 14 one that washes 2kg of clothes without any problem. Ofcourse you are not going to put heavily soiled clothes there but some simple stains were successfully removed with it thanks to intensive tumbles.

      The front loader is definitely going to irritate you then haha. I would consider a top loader like Maytag, or GE they both have deep fill cycles and agitators with a deep 4.7 or 4.8 cu ft tub if that's what you're looking for.
