Love the vid, my man! Great seeing what you're using this season and I'm sure I'm, not alone when I say your insight about the filming was super helpful. Keep being awesome!
For your lace with your pads, just make 2" or whatever with skate lace for the slack, then bungee on the rest. You'll get the best of both worlds and with RVH it works perfect. I use a custom made set I did myself, but ProLaces has the Hybrid option too which does the same thing.
If you want senior 24in paddles try to look for pro returns. I have a 24 inch Saros pro return CCM. True also makes a 24 inch senior composite stick too. But i agree, it's not the most common retail size option which kinda sucks for those who wants a shorter stick.
If I go over in my mind what I have it is pretty much identical other than the brands. My sticks come from the lost and found boutique 😅 I try to never stick handle the puck, more goals have been scored on me the minute that puck leaves my stick. I think for this year I am going to try out the Bauer konekt skates, could I get any worse? It’s like Velcro runners at this age. Cheers from Red Deer.
Funny you mention konekts I literally went to the shop last week with the intention of getting a pair. But they said it’s not for people with wide feet (which is what I have) . I’d love to try a pair ! I’m also jealous of my kids Velcro shoes ..
I haven’t tried the Mach myself but after seeing some reviews on it, it seems pretty similar to the shadow. I think the major upgrades are hinge arm 3.0, more segmentation, hybrid tuck option, and overall more arm protection . It’s quite a pricy unit id say if yours is giving you stingers or just isn’t working out then yeah it’s worth a shot to look at
Very interesting man❤

A great idea! I just got another intermediate at 23” , felt way better an inch shorter

I'm wearing the mach chesty and wondering if the shadow changes would be enough of an upgrade to justify the cost, what's your thoughts Vic
