That tool your using to pull the injectors is actually a tool for disconnecting plastic air lines from the quick disconnect fittings, pushes against the release tabs

Aside from basically any cabover, the W900 is my dream truck.
The Peterbuilt shop should've caught the valves out of adjustment, but he at least has a better set of injectors in the truck along with a good oem spare set

TIP: allways release the coolant pressure before pulling injector especially on isx also I have replaced quite a few cam’s lately and o. 2250 up single cam engines

Those tube tools you use for removing the injector tubes are used for quick release air fittings found on Peterbilt and other makes.

I had a Cummins dealer run my overhead one time on my ISX. Guess what, they adjusted two cylinders BACKWARDS. Never went back to that dealer again.
I really really enjoyed that clip man seems like everyone that byes these trucks with them motors always have the same thing there over torked and injectors man it's no good but I totally agree with you Tim the old trucks and reliability is ten fold to the new crap love ya work awesome job.

Brax has good taste. Those old KWs are sweet. Old guys called them kitty whoppers. A saw your old blue and white cab over a few weeks ago headed north out of little rock Arkansas. Saw it in Louisville at last truck show. Looked pretty good for an old Walmart truck. Do any flat bed work? Check out premier builders if you do. Driving for a small company is the way to go. Always exceptions. I would like to find a small outfit. Old school equipment.

As far as comfort i absolutely love these trucks. Kenworth W900/990 Limited and T680 and the Volvo VNL860 also the Peterbilt 579….

Hindsight is 20/20 obviously but I can’t believe no one checked the over head while the valve cover was off the first time especially knowing someone else had already been in there playing around
There was several trucks with a big cam Cummings in the boneyard that Bruce posted with the Marmon cabover that would look great restored next to Johnny Cash
I would like to see more of other engines and different things worked on. Thank's for the video's.

In 1961 our house burnt down to the ground when I was a child. My dad had to jump out of the third story window trying to rescue my grand mother. People rallied around us too because they cared. They think it was the wiring, do you think maybe my dad wanted to risk our lives or our home, and even our futures and jack around with something?

That W900 looks good. I dont like Cummuns engines either. Yall did a great job fixing the truck and videoing it as well. i will say if you showed more videos of working on newer trucks i would watch them but prefer older trucks. God bless you all and stay safe.

That’s not a cover for the ecm. Crankcase filter/oil seperator. Ecm is on the block. Try no to drive the injector down with the hold down bolt. Push them in by hand, they click right into place.
Ps. If you ain’t gonna replace that harness with oil in it still gonna cause issues.

Fix it by putting a yellow motor in it. Red motor is good for a boat anchor

I sent you a message through Facebook about an old cabover in Oregon, that has a 20 some foot flatbed on it, thought you could use it to haul boats if you had a trailer like you pull behind the argosy's it's an older international cabover with a B model cat in it.
9:28 that tool is for quick disconnect air lines to help you disconnect the air line easily
😢. I left a comment on almost every video bout a year ago about a 2000 fld 120 with the 12.7 trying to get you to buy it. I use to drive it and the owner just sold it to a shop that ended up scrapping it. Was such a beautiful and incredibly great running truck.

Hey Tim why don’t u use Heartland brand fenders for ur trucks?? They keep the sleeper from getting beat up and are fairly easy to install.. We also run a higher fifth wheel to keep from getting stretched up!!

Once again, no disrespect to anybody, and a subscriber since day one, not a hater. I completely understand all of the comments supporting Tim and all that he is teaching Braxton. No question about it. Calling in CPC on Tim about Brax, some concerns might be warranted but I imagine some are not. That being said, I wonder how many commenters have taken a few minutes to read the federal Department of Labor regulations and the Tennessee Wage and Hour Law related to minors which restrict the type of work they can do, the Prohibited/Hazardous Occupations they CANNOT do, the hours they can work when school is in session (including homeschooling) and out of session, etc. It is also interesting to note that almost all of the regulations reflect a minimum age of 13, with most related to activities by 16 & 17-year-old minors. Before you jump on me, Tim has stated many times that Braxton gets paid for the work he does. Even if he didn't, there are things that minors under the age of 13 can't do per the regulations. My point is that it is very risky for both parents and children to ignore the laws, rules, and regulations. You don't have to agree with them, but there can be severe consequences if you don't follow them. There are ways to include and educate a child about a profession and equipment without putting your entire business at risk. When a comment is based on emotion and not on the facts and the law, it really shows how destructive uninformed opinions can be. I wish the best for all and admire the relationship between Tim, Braxton, and the rest of the Gentry family. Just state the facts and specify the laws and regulations that you are not going to abide by. Simply because we might not agree with certain laws, rules, and regulations does not mean we have the right to just ignore them. I hope the Gentrys never find themselves having to try to defend themselves against violating very clear federal and state child labor laws.
All good points and they should be explored ASAP. Brax does a lot of observing and filming most the time. These trucks are his jungle gym. The most we saw him do here tonight was wiping off the injectors, but someone (probably his mother) needs to wade through your recommendations. Sadly it's one of those things you would never think of because the boy is so Industrious on his own.

I had a 9900 inter and it’s party piece was leaking around the injector wiring out of the head and filling it with oil. Other than that I had no issues with that engine

I know “Pannella trucking” stockton, California replaces their fleet a few years ago. They have a stack left over. But I think are comings thou. And I don’t know if they are selling some. Looking at their yard probably. They had over 100 freight liners cab overs.
Your right, you get something in thinking its an easy repair,then end up big job....but your crew will certainly repair it...ive no doubt about that...stay safe you all..your videos are awesome

Trucking Together has a Cummins ISX15 overhaul going on right now. Very interesting, I think. They have a 3 or 4 fleet trucks. Just him and his wife and he does most of his work. They are moving to the mid-west.
