you are more likely saying 2cents about Xianyun+Furina, because Furina without C1 C0 doesnt have insane healers which quickly will stack fanfare points. The some-ish true is with Cyno, but he have Xingxiu anyway

One of those teams i can think off is C6 Dori Quickbloom (Dori, Fischl, Nahida, Furina) and Amber Vape (Amber, Dehya/Zhongli, Bennet/Jean, Furina) and both teams can function with only C0 Furina. It really just takes your TC knowledge , creativity and your available weapons/characters to create a working off meta team.

From my perspective, you replacing Xingxiu in Quickbloom and OK congatulations your C6 Dori can finally perform using her kit with Furina, but without C6, you just using xingxiu\yelan and gonna be totally ok. Same with Amber, you just using Kazuha instead of Furina and still will perform on the same level. Moreover, teams like MonoLyney Pyro will not thank you for Furina's Hydro applications and instead will take Mona with some crowd control+Taunt pet and team will be Xiangling\Kazuha+Lyney+Bennet+Mona

And she enables teams where you want lower hydro but higher up-time for some aura. Like wuickbloom teams, or forward vape teams where she can vape because the lower hydro application.
I think one of the more underappreciated benefit of playing furina is that you dont have to farm for multiple artifact sets. for example, instead of farming gilded dreams for alhaitham and crimson witch for hutao, just slap the same MH set of either of them and play them with furina. MH also comes with golden troupe, which means u can farm artifacts for both DPS units on the team in a singular domain, which makes farming artifacts so efficient
True, it's probably my most farmed domain ever, I farm that domain to get Golden Troupe for my Fischl, Furina and Future Chiori, and MH for a lot of carries, such as Neuvillette, Gaming, Noelle, Alhaitham and my Future Xiao. Thats a lot of characters to farm to be Honest. And pretty much all my emblem sets on the characters that I use this set are pretty much done.
Yesss! I'm not good at playing Xiao and was not doing great with Bennett coz aside from circle impact, I was always conscious on my rotation/energy. With Furina+Xianyun and c6 Faruzan, I enjoy on playing him better now and no more issues.
Most important reason to pull for Furina is to walk around the over world and watch ur little summons kill everything so casually as you wander around unharmed ✨️

It's because he is stubborn to prove his point of "don't pull on the weapon banner", but if he values fav weapons so much, he had banners where we had 3 fav weapons on at the same time. I have like 10 R5 favs at this point, and use most of them, don't regret "wasting" primos on weapon banner for them one bit.
I've been playing a 4star DPS focused account and Furina is the most important character for my teams, she enables so many 4star DPSs, especially if the DPS is an on field healer (Noelle, Barbruh, Dori). I have so many other characters to build now that I have her.
For Question 21 about the Taser Teams, Raiden - Jean - Furina - Yelan has been one of my most fun teams to use for a long while now It's just slapping a lot of strong units together on one team, but it just shreds through anything. And with my Raiden having SS and Jean C2 I'm gaining so much Atk Spd buff it also just feels really statisfying in terms animations haha
I second this except I replace Yelan with Kazu bc I don't got Yelan lmao, but that set up is soooo fun. Furina and Raiden are such an underrated duo in my opinion!
good explanation at the start with what you mean by overrated 👍I know there's a defensive vocal minority who get angry with it, but thinking a character isn't the "strongest character in the game" or one of the "top dps" doesn't mean you are underrating or hating and think they are mid. there's a very big line inbetween the best and mid 😅
I mean, just by the fact that you think she isn't the strongest character in the game, you are indeed underrating her, even tho i don't think the difference is that big, as both kazuha and yelan are amazing too.
At this point, we could have an unit that could literally delete every enemy on the map AND collect the loot for you, and Zajef will still not dare to call them a must pull unit, and will find some kind of metric to call them an overrated unit
Every CC I've watched talking about Furina's rerun so far always forgets Noelle lol (I know Zajeff mentioned her once but he didn't during the team enabling question). It's such an underrated and comfy team, one of my personal faves. Quite versatile too, can slot in Albedo, Gorou, Chiori, Yun Jin, Xingqiu or Yelan depending on the content.

@@betulla96 Yes it is true, you need a good weapen and good team-mates. I use R5 Serpent and it is really not cheap, though I was able to clear without C6 Gorou. Second half liked double hydro more.
A very similar alternative to Noelle is Koko + Furina. Kokofish dps is really good with Furina buff and she max out clam instantly with the healing bonus from Furina, plus healing bonus also helps Koko DPS, and they feed each other energy. One down side about Noelle is her shield up time and if you don't spin2win 24/7 she can't out heal Furina's drain (but can stack fanfare just fine). Koko has really good uptime and literally the highest sustained healing you can possibly have, plus she is ranged and has very high poise during ult.
19:50 and yelan burst scales over time alot slower so front loaded doesn't work and her burst window is half as long as furina's skill so during set up and in long rotations, furina just does more damage Her damage is also more vapable since her big hit always vapes and she doesn't need normal attacks to trigger her thing, again, more damage by default
I can't consider furina being overrated when she is part of the only 5* that i don't refuse pulling for (together with nahida, kazuha and neuvillette). She is that good that even make me replace xingchiu from my alhaitham's teams, and make my live a lot easier for let me farm only one artifact domain for every onfielders (without taking in consideration that make the team building a lot more confy allowing me to use healers without lose dmg).
Thanks for making this video! I had not considered Klee with Furina much before. I also have had a blast in the abyss with my Navia plunge team with Furina, and messing around with other combinations as well. Not meta but very very fun!
Furina isn’t as big of a direct damage increase to Xiao as C6 Faruzan but her offield damage and buffing are definitely game changers for his teams. She makes up around 1/4th of the team’s total damage. In the very possible event that you don’t clear a chamber in exactly 1-2 rotations, you have to waste time with autos and xiao’s skills to clean up the enemies that survive if you don’t have Furina She is also part of the core that frees Xiao from circle impact. There just isn’t really a better 4th character to slot in that is capable of both and can fit into Xiao’s rotations as nicely if you don’t need a defensive options, which a lot of people that play Xiao frequently don’t really need
when he says Furnia isn't big of upgrade, he is including the personal dmg Furnia does as well. It would make no sense to not include it since that's how her kit was balanced.
She offers so much damage bonus that you can run a non damage bonus goblet. That adds resin efficiency to your account. On top of that, maxing her damage bonus is easily accessible by any player, new or old, because healers (and shielders) are the easiest kinds of units to build.
i believe it is still rare for non-dmg% goblet to not lag significantly behind dmg% goblet even with furina in the team (depends on the unit depends on the team). but if u were talking about new players or casuals who only log on once a week, then yea i can see it

fwiw i simmed wanderer with c6 faruzan, furina, DPC, and either cashflow or tullaytullah's having an attack% goblet can be better. that seems like a pretty common scenario
Funnily enough after almost 2 years of playing i have some pretty good elemental dmg goblets with like 6-8 rolls, yet i dont have a single atk% goblet leveled because i have never gotten a single atk goblet with at least 3 good substats for it to be worth leveling 😅
I also only had one R3 Fav sword for a long time too lol. But recently I just got two more copies but idk if I should R5 it or make it R2 and level it up for another character to use.
I like these videos, I watch them even for characters I don't plan on pulling just to get a better sense for their strengths, weaknesses, good teams, etc.
She actually gives Wanderer an insane boost. I used him with Neuvi's weapon, MH, Faruzan C6, Bennett and Furina and he was hitting for 60k NA's and 100k CA's with ease. You don't need to stricly use him with a shielder if you know what you're doing. You can also just use his free stamina dodge or his burst as I frames and you're good to go.

It's not bias when he has the numbers to back it up , Baizhu is a alright unit with a very defensive minority of simps and he's probably just tired of it. It's funny seeing people try to make Baizhu look like a beast but when you show them how he is barely owned and is has 70% of his usage in a suboptimal Nevu team, they throw a tantrum.

On Arlecchino Furina teams - then sack Bennett. Medic Mona works in healing everyone else... You still need to use Arlecchino's burst often, but the team is bringing in Fanfare anyway. You can bring Bennett if you are desperate but I've liked having Sara and not dealing with stupid circle memes.
19:25 for people who can't spare the 5 stars, here's one team I tried that worked really well.that I don't see very often Cyno, nahida, xingqiu, firshl You build fischl with slightly higher er. What you do is you open with her, set up ( and please use nahida burst) then fischl burst into cyno Since his DPS window is so long, that team will end up doing 25 second rotations, accounting for error
18:10 I'm not sure how true this is but isn't Furina also the enabler for Wriothesley Bain Marie? I never understood the specifics of that team well but I always assumed it was only possible because of Furina.
The thing is the team where charlotte is reasonable than other options is only on ayaka team, while it can be better than her standar team with shenhe kokomi, furina charlotte just isn't cut it, ayaka generally have so much dmg% on her thx to kazuha and misplither so replacing kokomi who give 68% atk for furina buff is often not enough especially because you also lose shenhe buff

Furina C2 > Nahida C2 With constellations (even C1) she`s rated perfectly, you won`t be forced to use dendro all the time At C0 you are (but not always) forced to use healers
As said C2 Nahida is also the constellation of every Dendro team basically except for Emilie burning, as it relies more on raw DMG, the team can still use nahida tho XD. this in my opinion makes it a great acc investement.
TIL that Dori has a viable team! Also learned that Sucrose with Neuvi is way more viable than I thought. That's great to know as now I can play Kazuha on the other side as I often want to do
Kinda sad that you don't to a segment for the prototype amber, rafinement breaking point, and constelation breaking points. I really feel like R5 prototype amber can be a HUGE upgrade to her. I did some test today, with tighnari - nahida - furina - fischl. With prototype amber at R5, it kinda felt like shit, but at the second i activated her C1, it really felt good. Really really good. You kinda have enough healing% to help amber healing to keep you above 50% health most of the time, and the fanfare stack was fully maxed at the time tighnari got on field. It was super comfy and very VERY effective. I can only imagine at C2 or C3 how fast the fanfare stack can be !
The ER on my Furina is 162.2 and it's enough for the majority of content. And she's solo Hydro. It works as far as Spiral Abyss. It only has slight issues against tough bosses in Abyss or hard combat events. Due to the lack of life energy particles. I should also mention she's not 162.2 from Fav. She uses Chiori's weapon actually. Fav would be enough with 0 ER rolls in the harder content. If you need more ER (for like against upscaled bosses) Fleuve Cendre is fine. It will give you damage and give you too much ER still. lol
I have about the same ER as you and it's not quite enough for her to ult right off CD as a solo hydro in the current abyss 12. It works if you are okay with looser rotation but if I want to kill both Magu and Simon under 30 seconds I'll need to have furina's ult right at the start and I just couldn't get that without slowing down to collect energy at the end of the previous chamber. I'll start seeing slight energy shortage by the third wave of chamber 1 if I'm using her ult right off CD.
@@None38389 Yeah that depends on life energy particles but I have seen Zajeff MANY times slowing down a chamber to collect energy, so it's nbd. If you can afford to do it, that's good. It's also an argument for damage over ER. ER will just get you the energy but damage gives you the time to funnel said energy too.

I'm just happy that Klee is legit valid now thanks to providing insane pyro app that C2 Furina can use for forward vaping to deal insane damage. (Like 150000 hits from the crab).
Fraudrina: nooo please bring me healers or im useless vs Gigachad Raincutter Xingqiu: provide waterfall worth of hydro application, provide a ton of damage reduction, near invincible interrupted resistance, great battery with a ton of particles , provide hydro shred, do a ton of damage off-field, not picky with artifacts, can be slotted in any team, easy to get character. All of it as a 4 star (6 star in disguise)
Xiao gets a lot from furina being an additional subdps on the team though. With the faruzan, bennett, xianyun team he has to do basically all the damage. But if you replace Bennett with Furina then you can get rid of low health enemies without having to use another xiao burst or using his physical attacks. Also it just has more dpr than if xiao is the only one doing damage. I don't think saying she doesn't add much to xiao is anywhere near close to accurate especially if you're not going to be like zyoxx and farm insane hypercarry stats because it takes too much time and resin which could be better utilitised for other characters
Yeah I completely agree. I don’t think Zajeff played enough Xiao pre-Furina. Xianyun is amazing but even she is more replaceable than Furina for him. We don’t have any other buffers/subdps that work well with him so you’re left with a shielder like ZL which is nice but definitely not necessary, or a sub dps like albedo, choiri, fischl, and Xiangling but each of those units have their own drawbacks in xiao teams
@@treysmith9371 while xianyun is replaceable, Furina really does need a good healer to stack fanfare. While jean can work, xianyun does that while also providing team healing which is more important because you don't have to make sure your team is at half hp to maximize fanfare. And she also provides a pretty good single target buff. The subdps/shielders you mentioned won't work with furina due to lack of healing otherwise. I think zajef sometimes let's his biases get in the way. Usually he's very good at not letting that happen (except with xingqiu lol. I love xingqiu but sometimes it's a bit much. The whole xingqiu over c6 yelan for "comfort" was worse than any brainrot zyox spouts). But sometimes his negative biases get in his way too. One example being he was super negative about chevreuse in her pre-release. And i never saw any video of him addressing that he was wrong calling her a bad unit, not even a pinned comment on that video
Tbh, I'd love to see more Ask Zajefs (or a new video format) for some of the under-loved units... which, sure, would touch upon their downsides, but would also go hard into "these are the ways to make this unit viable" Meta is nice, of course. Meta makes it easier to clear the hardest content & grab the rewards... but it can also be plenty fun to try to grab those rewards with less potent/sub-optimal units, or even with just a sub-optimal on-fielder I'm not necessarily asking for really heavy lifting stuff like "this is how you make Xinyan shine"... but rather something like "here are places and ways where Lisa can be used effectively" or "Noelle ain't bad with Furina and this is how it's done" sorts of stuff
I'm glad that I pulled Furina. Made my Noelle stronger, and beyblade-ing things down with her is fun. C6 Dori is real and will hurt you, but I kinda like Raiden, Furina, Nahida, Baizhu a bi~t more depending on the enemies I'm fighting. More recently, after Xianyun's release, plunge Heizou with Faruzan has been my favorite team with Furina (apologies to Xiao mains for being LAMENT-less, but I like my punch boi a lot) Big thanks to Zajef and the editing team for these videos. Furina is *potentially* the best unit. The moment you reach her requirements you get the biggest buff anybody could ever ask for. Only those who have a lot of that buff inherently dont benefit as much but at that point just invest in your other stats more and youll still see a good increase. the problem is furina basicly nerfs you by taking away 2 slots from your team, Her and a team wide healer. sure you can cycle through people and heal them but speed is key and that forces you to have a ramp up time instead of an instant huge buff if you cant do it all at once. All in all if you can meet the requirements she might as well be the best in terms or raw buffing but there are things she still does not provide that may not be direct increases to damage or stats may still be i tegral to getting more damage.
Actually pulled for her so I can play Taser with Raiden, Xingqiu(i don't have Yelan yet), and Jean. It's so much fun since there's no circle impact and energy issues.

Tbh, the only unit in fontaine who was underrated before his release, and few days/weeks after his release his neuvillette. And even now, people in the genshin community keep underrating him, because they are simply pissed off that the best fontaine unit for most players this time isnt the archon, nor waifu, nor harbinger, usually the most hyped genshin characters type, but rather the dragon, whose few people knew the sheer power before

That's exactly what make him the strongest hydro unit, because he fear nothing aside his own element. If you have another flaw on neuvi's kit, feel free to tell me, but the reality is, to counter neuvi, you basically have to counter all other hydro units, including furina. The only hydro that can survibe such a storm is probably zajeff beloved XQ, because of all the defensive utility ( dmg reduction and interruption res) and hydro app he provides elsewhere, but even there he can still be played with neuv, just for the hydro res. But that's basically the only one. And that's what I think they will have to do in natlan to slow him down. But that wont change anything in terms of value he can bring in an account, he basically cancel every enemy who isnt hydro
I do feel like Furina is the strongest character I've pulled (and the only meta char I don't own is Neuvillette). She's just effortlessly powerful in a way that I clear enemies without even understanding why they're already dead, and all of that in a very good time in Abyss. She's the only character I own that I feel like I can throw together in any superficial team (with a healer) and still do great, while all the other amazing supports (like Bennett) won't make me win by his sheer strength alone. Also, the fact you play with full party healers gives a lot of survivability to the team, so I usually don't need resets at all. All in all, you don't even need to play her in her most meta teams since any (logical) healer team will do great, but then again she's a great support to most dpses, not only the meta ones but even make 4 star options like Yanfei shine. So yeah, super great character.
I feel that way about Kazuha, I was hoping I would feel similarly about Furina but so far she doesn't feel like she's making as big of an impact as Kazuha.
@@None38389 I'd say Kazuha is close second to me. He was very impactful because of grouping which changes your life, but he doesn't give me the same feeling of auto-win like Furina does.
@@lucasfmhomem I think it's mostly because most of my teams really needs Kazuha and running Furina often means swapping out Kazuha for Jean and it just feels so awkward without him especially in this current abyss 12.
4pc Emblem unless you want to Double Vape Skill DPS him, then you can use a 2pc2pc, or even a 4pc Noblesse (which increases the team's as well as his own's atk%) and have Bennett on Instructor to buff Xingqiu's EM
@@TheLoveDecagon I've tried using Candace as well, but it's not great, even if you on-field him, you still want to buff his Burst and Skill more than you want to actually deal damage with his Normals (I have a 9/12/12 Xingqiu since I like him), they don't have great multipliers to begin with, and due to standard ICD you're gonna have a hard time Vaping many of his Normal attacks, especially considering the fact that he has great hydro application and you're gonna need quite a bit of Pyro app to keep up with his many sources of Hydro application. Candace in general isn't a great support to begin with, so you're wasting a spot for her instead of using someone like Sucrose or Kazuha (since you're likely not gonna bench neither Xiangling nor Bennett), and if you happen to have C6d your Candace having them both might sometimes mess up with the Pyro Aura since she's gonna do Hydro coordinated attacks (her infusion uptime is also not the greatest either)

A thing thats glossed over when running furina with bennett is that bennett can consistently trigger freedom sworn. This provides an even higher buff ceiling for any units that NA/CA/Plunges like wanderer/wrio/ayato/xiao/gaming etc.
Zajef: "She'll have around 45k HP with Key if you run an ER Sands." Me: "Yeah right!" Also me: Equipping my Furina later and screeching like a demon because she has just over 45k HP
As someone who pulled for Furina during 4.2, I lowkey regretted getting her. (This is based on my account) When I heard she will make healers meta again, I built my Jean and paired them together and I am not impressed with it at all. I tried double hydro with Raiden, it clears way slower than standard hypercarry and Rational, not to mention your teams will always on 50% health most of the time. Then I tried using mono hydro with Xingqiu Yelan with Jean as the driver, doesn't feel that strong like people are saying ( I dont have Kokomi so I cant test her) After that I replace Xingqiu with her in Alhaitham Quickbloom, it's only slightly better but as always you are stuck with 50& HP since your healer in that team are just Kuki plus you're losing interrupted resistance and damage reduction so its not worth it. In the end, I replaced Fischl with her in Neuvi team (Neuvi/Kazuha/FIschl/Zhongli) as people are saying its the strongest team in the game and its true, it is strong but most of the damage comes from Neuvi himself and her buffs are not helping that much compared to Kazuha and as usual you're playing with 50% HP which I find it very uncomfortable so I use Fischl again. Can't say about other team but I heard in Xiao team, using her instead of Bennett doesn't improve him that much except the circle which doesnt matter most of the time if you can manage the burst placement properly. She's definitely got overrated way to much by the players and that Xiao streamer. In term of support character value, I put her below Nahida, Bennett, Xingqiu, Kazuha.
Forgot to mention but if you're a new player getting her (like my friend did), you will have a very bad time since you dont have a proper healer (Barbara isn't enough) so good luck playing her.
I have similar experience, in any team where I need to sacrifice Kazuha to use her it just didn't feel that great, and when she's an upgrade she only felt like a small upgrade. But it's partially because I have a very stacked Kazuha.
for the dori-furina core teams, wouldnt kazuha be good as a 4th slot? one of the main advantages of dori is the self-electro app on kazuha so you can get away with nahida and still get consistent electro swirls, along with using kazuha as the hyperbloom trigger

1. Furinas weapon is really meh most of the time. Outside of Neuvillette and Mono Hydro her ER requierments get up to 180-200 ER and her weapon doesn't give any energy. So the difference between it and something like Fluve de Candre (Pipe) or Favonius isn't that huge because those two weapons give a lot of ER. Add the fact that in a lot of teams Furinas damage hovers between 20% to 30%. So the increase on her isn't even that Impactful. This the reason why C1-2 and maybe even C3 and C4 (more questionable) are better. They increase Furinas damage and the teams damage (except C4. C4 is for her own energy). Which is more Impactful than her own weapon as it only increases her own damage. This is just less Impactful than buffing her damage (even if it's weaker) + buffing the team. 2. About cons: They are just a power increase. And as someone that has C0 Furina: It's not needed at all. Furina at C0 is already really strong. More power is usually overkill.
One of her biggest selling points to me is that she lets me play off-meta / bad characters and they feel at least playable, adds a lot of variety to possible abyss teams
you are more likely saying 2cents about Xianyun+Furina, because Furina without C1 C0 doesnt have insane healers which quickly will stack fanfare points. The some-ish true is with Cyno, but he have Xingxiu anyway

One of those teams i can think off is C6 Dori Quickbloom (Dori, Fischl, Nahida, Furina) and Amber Vape (Amber, Dehya/Zhongli, Bennet/Jean, Furina) and both teams can function with only C0 Furina. It really just takes your TC knowledge , creativity and your available weapons/characters to create a working off meta team.

I think one of the more underappreciated benefit of playing furina is that you dont have to farm for multiple artifact sets. for example, instead of farming gilded dreams for alhaitham and crimson witch for hutao, just slap the same MH set of either of them and play them with furina.
MH also comes with golden troupe, which means u can farm artifacts for both DPS units on the team in a singular domain, which makes farming artifacts so efficient
True, it's probably my most farmed domain ever, I farm that domain to get Golden Troupe for my Fischl, Furina and Future Chiori, and MH for a lot of carries, such as Neuvillette, Gaming, Noelle, Alhaitham and my Future Xiao. Thats a lot of characters to farm to be Honest. And pretty much all my emblem sets on the characters that I use this set are pretty much done.

I've been playing a 4star DPS focused account and Furina is the most important character for my teams, she enables so many 4star DPSs, especially if the DPS is an on field healer (Noelle, Barbruh, Dori). I have so many other characters to build now that I have her.
Furina opening hunter set on almost any character is 100% pull.
For Question 21 about the Taser Teams, Raiden - Jean - Furina - Yelan has been one of my most fun teams to use for a long while now
It's just slapping a lot of strong units together on one team, but it just shreds through anything. And with my Raiden having SS and Jean C2 I'm gaining so much Atk Spd buff it also just feels really statisfying in terms animations haha

Every CC I've watched talking about Furina's rerun so far always forgets Noelle lol (I know Zajeff mentioned her once but he didn't during the team enabling question). It's such an underrated and comfy team, one of my personal faves. Quite versatile too, can slot in Albedo, Gorou, Chiori, Yun Jin, Xingqiu or Yelan depending on the content.
Noelle-Furina core is really good, very comfy as you said. At the last very hard boss event it was my go to team.

@@betulla96 Yes it is true, you need a good weapen and good team-mates. I use R5 Serpent and it is really not cheap, though I was able to clear without C6 Gorou. Second half liked double hydro more.
A very similar alternative to Noelle is Koko + Furina. Kokofish dps is really good with Furina buff and she max out clam instantly with the healing bonus from Furina, plus healing bonus also helps Koko DPS, and they feed each other energy.
One down side about Noelle is her shield up time and if you don't spin2win 24/7 she can't out heal Furina's drain (but can stack fanfare just fine). Koko has really good uptime and literally the highest sustained healing you can possibly have, plus she is ranged and has very high poise during ult.
19:50 and yelan burst scales over time alot slower so front loaded doesn't work and her burst window is half as long as furina's skill so during set up and in long rotations, furina just does more damage
Her damage is also more vapable since her big hit always vapes and she doesn't need normal attacks to trigger her thing, again, more damage by default
I can't consider furina being overrated when she is part of the only 5* that i don't refuse pulling for (together with nahida, kazuha and neuvillette).
She is that good that even make me replace xingchiu from my alhaitham's teams, and make my live a lot easier for let me farm only one artifact domain for every onfielders (without taking in consideration that make the team building a lot more confy allowing me to use healers without lose dmg).
Thanks for making this video! I had not considered Klee with Furina much before. I also have had a blast in the abyss with my Navia plunge team with Furina, and messing around with other combinations as well. Not meta but very very fun!
Furina isn’t as big of a direct damage increase to Xiao as C6 Faruzan but her offield damage and buffing are definitely game changers for his teams. She makes up around 1/4th of the team’s total damage. In the very possible event that you don’t clear a chamber in exactly 1-2 rotations, you have to waste time with autos and xiao’s skills to clean up the enemies that survive if you don’t have Furina
She is also part of the core that frees Xiao from circle impact. There just isn’t really a better 4th character to slot in that is capable of both and can fit into Xiao’s rotations as nicely if you don’t need a defensive options, which a lot of people that play Xiao frequently don’t really need
As a Xiao enjoyer I loooove being free from the circle impact
What about Yelan? You can apply a lot of that to her if you just weave in autos.

when he says Furnia isn't big of upgrade, he is including the personal dmg Furnia does as well. It would make no sense to not include it since that's how her kit was balanced.
She offers so much damage bonus that you can run a non damage bonus goblet. That adds resin efficiency to your account. On top of that, maxing her damage bonus is easily accessible by any player, new or old, because healers (and shielders) are the easiest kinds of units to build.
i believe it is still rare for non-dmg% goblet to not lag significantly behind dmg% goblet even with furina in the team (depends on the unit depends on the team). but if u were talking about new players or casuals who only log on once a week, then yea i can see it

I like these videos, I watch them even for characters I don't plan on pulling just to get a better sense for their strengths, weaknesses, good teams, etc.
She actually gives Wanderer an insane boost. I used him with Neuvi's weapon, MH, Faruzan C6, Bennett and Furina and he was hitting for 60k NA's and 100k CA's with ease. You don't need to stricly use him with a shielder if you know what you're doing. You can also just use his free stamina dodge or his burst as I frames and you're good to go.

The thing is the team where charlotte is reasonable than other options is only on ayaka team, while it can be better than her standar team with shenhe kokomi, furina charlotte just isn't cut it, ayaka generally have so much dmg% on her thx to kazuha and misplither so replacing kokomi who give 68% atk for furina buff is often not enough especially because you also lose shenhe buff

I really feel like R5 prototype amber can be a HUGE upgrade to her.
I did some test today, with tighnari - nahida - furina - fischl. With prototype amber at R5, it kinda felt like shit, but at the second i activated her C1, it really felt good. Really really good. You kinda have enough healing% to help amber healing to keep you above 50% health most of the time, and the fanfare stack was fully maxed at the time tighnari got on field.
It was super comfy and very VERY effective. I can only imagine at C2 or C3 how fast the fanfare stack can be !
Whatever makes my Xiao pop off better he shall have.
The ER on my Furina is 162.2 and it's enough for the majority of content. And she's solo Hydro. It works as far as Spiral Abyss. It only has slight issues against tough bosses in Abyss or hard combat events. Due to the lack of life energy particles. I should also mention she's not 162.2 from Fav. She uses Chiori's weapon actually. Fav would be enough with 0 ER rolls in the harder content. If you need more ER (for like against upscaled bosses) Fleuve Cendre is fine. It will give you damage and give you too much ER still. lol
I have about the same ER as you and it's not quite enough for her to ult right off CD as a solo hydro in the current abyss 12. It works if you are okay with looser rotation but if I want to kill both Magu and Simon under 30 seconds I'll need to have furina's ult right at the start and I just couldn't get that without slowing down to collect energy at the end of the previous chamber. I'll start seeing slight energy shortage by the third wave of chamber 1 if I'm using her ult right off CD.
@@None38389 Yeah that depends on life energy particles but I have seen Zajeff MANY times slowing down a chamber to collect energy, so it's nbd. If you can afford to do it, that's good. It's also an argument for damage over ER. ER will just get you the energy but damage gives you the time to funnel said energy too.

Xiao gets a lot from furina being an additional subdps on the team though.
With the faruzan, bennett, xianyun team he has to do basically all the damage.
But if you replace Bennett with Furina then you can get rid of low health enemies without having to use another xiao burst or using his physical attacks.
Also it just has more dpr than if xiao is the only one doing damage.
I don't think saying she doesn't add much to xiao is anywhere near close to accurate especially if you're not going to be like zyoxx and farm insane hypercarry stats because it takes too much time and resin which could be better utilitised for other characters
Yeah I completely agree. I don’t think Zajeff played enough Xiao pre-Furina. Xianyun is amazing but even she is more replaceable than Furina for him. We don’t have any other buffers/subdps that work well with him so you’re left with a shielder like ZL which is nice but definitely not necessary, or a sub dps like albedo, choiri, fischl, and Xiangling but each of those units have their own drawbacks in xiao teams
When using Furina instead Bennett you're not limited to the circle to do good damage plus there's a lot more comfort.

While jean can work, xianyun does that while also providing team healing which is more important because you don't have to make sure your team is at half hp to maximize fanfare. And she also provides a pretty good single target buff.
The subdps/shielders you mentioned won't work with furina due to lack of healing otherwise.
I think zajef sometimes let's his biases get in the way. Usually he's very good at not letting that happen (except with xingqiu lol. I love xingqiu but sometimes it's a bit much. The whole xingqiu over c6 yelan for "comfort" was worse than any brainrot zyox spouts). But sometimes his negative biases get in his way too. One example being he was super negative about chevreuse in her pre-release. And i never saw any video of him addressing that he was wrong calling her a bad unit, not even a pinned comment on that video

Tbh, I'd love to see more Ask Zajefs (or a new video format) for some of the under-loved units... which, sure, would touch upon their downsides, but would also go hard into "these are the ways to make this unit viable"
Meta is nice, of course. Meta makes it easier to clear the hardest content & grab the rewards... but it can also be plenty fun to try to grab those rewards with less potent/sub-optimal units, or even with just a sub-optimal on-fielder
I'm not necessarily asking for really heavy lifting stuff like "this is how you make Xinyan shine"... but rather something like "here are places and ways where Lisa can be used effectively" or "Noelle ain't bad with Furina and this is how it's done" sorts of stuff
I'm glad that I pulled Furina. Made my Noelle stronger, and beyblade-ing things down with her is fun. C6 Dori is real and will hurt you, but I kinda like Raiden, Furina, Nahida, Baizhu a bi~t more depending on the enemies I'm fighting. More recently, after Xianyun's release, plunge Heizou with Faruzan has been my favorite team with Furina (apologies to Xiao mains for being LAMENT-less, but I like my punch boi a lot)

Furina is *potentially* the best unit. The moment you reach her requirements you get the biggest buff anybody could ever ask for. Only those who have a lot of that buff inherently dont benefit as much but at that point just invest in your other stats more and youll still see a good increase. the problem is furina basicly nerfs you by taking away 2 slots from your team, Her and a team wide healer. sure you can cycle through people and heal them but speed is key and that forces you to have a ramp up time instead of an instant huge buff if you cant do it all at once.
All in all if you can meet the requirements she might as well be the best in terms or raw buffing but there are things she still does not provide that may not be direct increases to damage or stats may still be i tegral to getting more damage.
Actually pulled for her so I can play Taser with Raiden, Xingqiu(i don't have Yelan yet), and Jean. It's so much fun since there's no circle impact and energy issues.

Tbh, the only unit in fontaine who was underrated before his release, and few days/weeks after his release his neuvillette. And even now, people in the genshin community keep underrating him, because they are simply pissed off that the best fontaine unit for most players this time isnt the archon, nor waifu, nor harbinger, usually the most hyped genshin characters type, but rather the dragon, whose few people knew the sheer power before
@@djampoucheukap1742 he is overrated as of now, all of spiral abyss has basically been for him, the only abyss that was against him was the hydro tulpca and every abyss since then has had the enemies line in a straight line with sheilds that give stacks.
I think he can be madly overrated at times, but yeah he was underrated before release

@@AlwaysThirstys I mean, a hydro unit that shines everywhere unless hydro bosses... where is the problem? That's exactly what make him the strongest hydro unit, because he fear nothing aside his own element. If you have another flaw on neuvi's kit, feel free to tell me, but the reality is, to counter neuvi, you basically have to counter all other hydro units, including furina. The only hydro that can survibe such a storm is probably zajeff beloved XQ, because of all the defensive utility ( dmg reduction and interruption res) and hydro app he provides elsewhere, but even there he can still be played with neuv, just for the hydro res. But that's basically the only one.
And that's what I think they will have to do in natlan to slow him down. But that wont change anything in terms of value he can bring in an account, he basically cancel every enemy who isnt hydro

I do feel like Furina is the strongest character I've pulled (and the only meta char I don't own is Neuvillette). She's just effortlessly powerful in a way that I clear enemies without even understanding why they're already dead, and all of that in a very good time in Abyss. She's the only character I own that I feel like I can throw together in any superficial team (with a healer) and still do great, while all the other amazing supports (like Bennett) won't make me win by his sheer strength alone. Also, the fact you play with full party healers gives a lot of survivability to the team, so I usually don't need resets at all. All in all, you don't even need to play her in her most meta teams since any (logical) healer team will do great, but then again she's a great support to most dpses, not only the meta ones but even make 4 star options like Yanfei shine. So yeah, super great character.
I feel that way about Kazuha, I was hoping I would feel similarly about Furina but so far she doesn't feel like she's making as big of an impact as Kazuha.
@@None38389 I'd say Kazuha is close second to me. He was very impactful because of grouping which changes your life, but he doesn't give me the same feeling of auto-win like Furina does.
@@lucasfmhomem I think it's mostly because most of my teams really needs Kazuha and running Furina often means swapping out Kazuha for Jean and it just feels so awkward without him especially in this current abyss 12.

4pc Emblem unless you want to Double Vape Skill DPS him, then you can use a 2pc2pc, or even a 4pc Noblesse (which increases the team's as well as his own's atk%) and have Bennett on Instructor to buff Xingqiu's EM

@@TheLoveDecagon I've tried using Candace as well, but it's not great, even if you on-field him, you still want to buff his Burst and Skill more than you want to actually deal damage with his Normals (I have a 9/12/12 Xingqiu since I like him), they don't have great multipliers to begin with, and due to standard ICD you're gonna have a hard time Vaping many of his Normal attacks, especially considering the fact that he has great hydro application and you're gonna need quite a bit of Pyro app to keep up with his many sources of Hydro application.
Candace in general isn't a great support to begin with, so you're wasting a spot for her instead of using someone like Sucrose or Kazuha (since you're likely not gonna bench neither Xiangling nor Bennett), and if you happen to have C6d your Candace having them both might sometimes mess up with the Pyro Aura since she's gonna do Hydro coordinated attacks (her infusion uptime is also not the greatest either)
@@akirayuki6275 oh yea I know xingqiu’s normals suck (9,13,13 for me). I have tried everything to make them better without substantially ruining my e and q. I gave him misspliter and everything. I guess there isn’t anything for me to do. Guess he’s staying as a sub dps 🤷
A thing thats glossed over when running furina with bennett is that bennett can consistently trigger freedom sworn. This provides an even higher buff ceiling for any units that NA/CA/Plunges like wanderer/wrio/ayato/xiao/gaming etc.

Also me: Equipping my Furina later and screeching like a demon because she has just over 45k HP
As someone who pulled for Furina during 4.2, I lowkey regretted getting her. (This is based on my account)
When I heard she will make healers meta again, I built my Jean and paired them together and I am not impressed with it at all.
I tried double hydro with Raiden, it clears way slower than standard hypercarry and Rational, not to mention your teams will always on 50% health most of the time.
Then I tried using mono hydro with Xingqiu Yelan with Jean as the driver, doesn't feel that strong like people are saying ( I dont have Kokomi so I cant test her)
After that I replace Xingqiu with her in Alhaitham Quickbloom, it's only slightly better but as always you are stuck with 50& HP since your healer in that team are just Kuki plus you're losing interrupted resistance and damage reduction so its not worth it.
In the end, I replaced Fischl with her in Neuvi team (Neuvi/Kazuha/FIschl/Zhongli) as people are saying its the strongest team in the game and its true, it is strong but most of the damage comes from Neuvi himself and her buffs are not helping that much compared to Kazuha and as usual you're playing with 50% HP which I find it very uncomfortable so I use Fischl again.
Can't say about other team but I heard in Xiao team, using her instead of Bennett doesn't improve him that much except the circle which doesnt matter most of the time if you can manage the burst placement properly.
She's definitely got overrated way to much by the players and that Xiao streamer. In term of support character value, I put her below Nahida, Bennett, Xingqiu, Kazuha.
Forgot to mention but if you're a new player getting her (like my friend did), you will have a very bad time since you dont have a proper healer (Barbara isn't enough) so good luck playing her.
I have similar experience, in any team where I need to sacrifice Kazuha to use her it just didn't feel that great, and when she's an upgrade she only felt like a small upgrade. But it's partially because I have a very stacked Kazuha.

one of the main advantages of dori is the self-electro app on kazuha so you can get away with nahida and still get consistent electro swirls, along with using kazuha as the hyperbloom trigger

Question: Is C0 Furina without her weapon sign still okay? I didn't spend money on her cons and weapon if C0 without still having good support for Abyss?
1. Furinas weapon is really meh most of the time. Outside of Neuvillette and Mono Hydro her ER requierments get up to 180-200 ER and her weapon doesn't give any energy. So the difference between it and something like Fluve de Candre (Pipe) or Favonius isn't that huge because those two weapons give a lot of ER. Add the fact that in a lot of teams Furinas damage hovers between 20% to 30%. So the increase on her isn't even that Impactful. This the reason why C1-2 and maybe even C3 and C4 (more questionable) are better. They increase Furinas damage and the teams damage (except C4. C4 is for her own energy). Which is more Impactful than her own weapon as it only increases her own damage. This is just less Impactful than buffing her damage (even if it's weaker) + buffing the team.
2. About cons: They are just a power increase. And as someone that has C0 Furina: It's not needed at all. Furina at C0 is already really strong. More power is usually overkill.
