After looking at some comments, I just want to clarify since sometimes things get lost in editing; Pyro Xiao is funny and somewhat alright, but it's not amazing. If you rolled for her, have fun with your teams!
@@3mptysh3ll38 yeah c6 faruzan and a good dps weapon are the 2 big missing pieces that made pyro xiao work better than anemo xiao in here, if you can fill those investment gaps then anemo xiao will be better. And even outside of that, anemo xiao has a good AOE unlike pyro xiao, the pyro version only works that well in ST
ngl Zajef just used a bad build for the xiao he showcased. Xiao should be doing around 130k plunges with that setup and doing even around 150-170k with c6 faruzan, which at minimum is comparable or even better than diluc plunge. So I would only take his Normal Xiao plunge showcase with a grain of salt he could do wayy better.@@Yamamaass
It's a joy to see some actual theorycrafting and team testings being very important to see what the character achieves. Recently there has been quite obvious characters who do this and that have a few teams and done testing wasn't even really necessary. It does seem it's a one time thing only because chiori is very very self-explanatory and has at max 2 teams or just 1 which is the itto team

I'll save you time: Cloud Retainer is amazing with THREE out of like EIGHTY characters: Gaming, Diluc, Xiao. Everything else is convoluted cope. It's doing far more annoying rotations for at best, equal damage or less for a gimmick. She's a future impact (tm) character. She's good for what she does, but there are so many healers that can do what she does just fine: it's just that it's an instance of burst healing. Don't pull her thinking that you "need her for Furina". Literally every healer works just fine with Furina. She's a niche, gimmick character like Shenhe. Powerful in what she does, but very limited.

Has anyone tried Xianyun with Navia? She can't do vape plunges but she does get a big damage bonus to her plunges after doing her skill and that will stack with Xianyun's buff. It shouldn't mess much with her crystallize generation I think.
How much damage do you lose in a gaming xianyun furina c6 bennet team if you don't pyro swirl? Is the extra time gaming gets in bennet burst enough to compensate?
I feel like now with pyro xiao his weakness has been alleviated by a lot since before his main only strength was his Aoe yes his damage isnt bad in single target but not the greatest so now with pyro xiao he would be able to kund of solve that. Pros and cons: Pryo Xiao: Pros:Really good single target damage,very fun to play, can experiment with different element,makes him a bit more versitile. Cons:Loses the whole Aoe part in his kit,you dont get any flex slot since youd need Bennett and xianyun but to maximize the damage youd also need furina,its heavily single target. Anemo Xiao: Pros:Very good at Aoe,has a lot of flexible teams. Cons:Lacks single target damage even with the bonk, he is anemo so no reactions,cant use vv so faruzan would be the case but without c6 yeah have fun,Xiao takes a lot of field time which results into buffs running out. Wish he had less field time and more damage per plunge but overall xiao is a really fun and actually good pick. I am a xiao main so I have been having a lot of fun using him and not with xianyun i can now test like new teams and have more fun.Hope this helps a bit since I saw that in the comment there is quite the war about pyro xiao and anemo xiao.

If a character can incorporate plunges into their rotation then she will be just be a good choice to run. Raiden(even if xianyuns buff doesn’t include her burst) and ayaka can incorporate plunges into their rotations and aren’t just some meme teams like pyro xiao and ayato lol.
That IS going to be her most used playstyle. Like the guy in the reply said, there's like 2 teams where she's actually "good" good instead of being funny good. So showing off the wacky teams show her potential more than hyperfocusing on the top 2 or 3 teams. You do pretty much the same thing in other teams anyway, jump, plunge, heal, furina. There isn't really anything more complicated to it than what he already showed
I can not imagine how much time and thought was spent on designing Dehya to give her as little synergy as possible with ANY unit in the game. Even with the future ones.

It's burst damage, not attack skill damage anyway. Doesn't matter if she can jump. Also, Raiden has the same property, dealing burst type damage, and also doesn't work with plunge buffs.

One of the leak showcases had a xianyun freeze team with Wriothesley, and it looked pretty fun. His animations flowed so smoothly from an uppercut into a plunge attack
The thumbnail is very apt in showing the Xianyun experience. It's like pogo-sticking in the sense that it's all fun and games until someone tackles you out of the air. I've been enjoying her so far. Funniest teams for me is mono hydro Candace aka Hydro Hu Tao cuz I can't be asked to swirl hydro and pyro for vape Candace and then Heizou cuz I don't have Xiao, and I wanna LAMENT on some punks with my fist. Figured out a rotation I like which lets me sneak in a fully clenched punch before plunge spamming. (I think this only works if you have Heizou's C1 and you have to get the last stack through another way at C0) Furina E > Heizou N1C Q > Faruzan N1 E Q Prayge for Favge proc > Furina Q > Xianyun E(E)(E)P Q > Heizou Punch and then dash plunge until you can punch again. So far, with my artifacts, I can get Xianyun's Burst back with TTDS and ATK sands on her, so we take those. @@gabrieleiaconetta4263 Yelan for damage or Xingqiu for interruption resistance. Combo for Candace is normal attack into charge attack, jump, plunge, repeat. I haven't tried TTDS in that team. You might get away with it if you run favonious on both your hydro characters since Xianyun's gonna need a lot of energy recharge, and running an ER sands might not feel too good.

I rolled solely for the Exploration-movement-funsies, so if she ends up being Decent thats just a bonus for me. That triple jump is RAD to run around with, but I haven't built her well enough for good damage/support yet.

His xiao is fairly poorly built. A well built c0 anemo Xiao hits the numbers his vape xiao was hitting with the premium team (xiao xianyun faruzan and furina) and close to it with the team he was using. He uses fav on him instead of an actual dps spear which tanks his damage (I was hitting 102k per plunge with his team and a level 69 xianyun).
I pulled for her, got Mona on the fist 5*, then pulled again to get her. Sadly i didnt get any one Ga Ming, so i use another 10 pull and got her C1. I dont really have use for her 😂 and i desperately wanted Ga Ming!! C1 Xianyun Haver but no Ga Ming.
I got oneshotted 5 times in a row against tulpa with Benny… Pain EDIT: OMG, ur pyro Xiao did almost the same as my Hu Tao (plunges wise). What am I doing wrong with her.

Is Ayaka also going to be meh? I like Xianyun's animation but I'm kind of restraining myself from pulling because the trial gives a skewed impression, and I'd only recently leveled my Jean to be a healer for my Furina teams; switching now would feel like I wasted time and resources. Also has anyone tried her with like really high ping? Currently I'm in South Asia and my ping is around 310-320; I feel like I'm struggling to get my plunges but that could also just be a skill issue. It would really help to hear what anyone has to say on the matter. It's the first time I want to pull for a character because of animation (even though you're technically not on her for long), but my brain is telling me that she's not really adding much to my account since I don't have a Xiao or Hu Tao or Diluc.
Adding thoughts: could have another anemo to reduce cooldowns and provide grouping/VV. If you have her C1, the hops she does could also trigger TF and reduce cooldowns that way?

This has me thinking about Arlechinno. Wonder if she could be a plunge carry like benny and vape with Furina or be an off field pyro applicator like Xiangling. Excited to see and that being said… RANDOM THOUGHT but since she was described as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”…imagine if she had like pyro wolves that attacked like Furina’s parasites and had the bite animation of the enemy wolves in Honkai star rail. Arlechinno better not be like Dehya because there is so much potential for her to be a good unit!!
One other thing, Shimenawa's is probably BiS on most characters on a Xuanyun team. It works well on Keqing and Heizou. Sacrificing Keqing burst seems fine since the damage window is much smaller. As a Furina-less player, I do have to work around her, but Mona can allow similar damage but with much higher team ER requirements.
What do you think with Chonyun, nahida, bennett and Xianyun. I dont have c4 xiangling. I have been building that team but clearing abyss seems to be quite hard as i cant melt all plunge.
I personally really enjoyed cryo infused Shenhe with Xianyun, she perforemed great imo, had 0 problem with the abyss using Shenhe Chongyun Xianyun Furina team

he reduces resistance to swirled element with VV set on xianyun. it allows to do more damage in result.

i think she is the most fun unit ive played in 4.X... i love her kit to bits.... also the 3 seconds cd reduction passive if u don't plunge is just amazing for exploration.

His xiao is fairly poorly built. A well built c0 anemo Xiao hits the numbers his vape xiao was hitting with the premium team (xiao xianyun faruzan and furina) and close to it with the team he was using. He uses fav on him instead of an actual dps spear which tanks his damage (I was hitting 102k per plunge with his team and a level 69 xianyun).

I pulled for her, got Mona on the fist 5*, then pulled again to get her. Sadly i didnt get any one Ga Ming, so i use another 10 pull and got her C1. I dont really have use for her 😂 and i desperately wanted Ga Ming!! C1 Xianyun Haver but no Ga Ming.

Is Ayaka also going to be meh? I like Xianyun's animation but I'm kind of restraining myself from pulling because the trial gives a skewed impression, and I'd only recently leveled my Jean to be a healer for my Furina teams; switching now would feel like I wasted time and resources.
Also has anyone tried her with like really high ping? Currently I'm in South Asia and my ping is around 310-320; I feel like I'm struggling to get my plunges but that could also just be a skill issue.
It would really help to hear what anyone has to say on the matter. It's the first time I want to pull for a character because of animation (even though you're technically not on her for long), but my brain is telling me that she's not really adding much to my account since I don't have a Xiao or Hu Tao or Diluc.
As long as you have C6 bennet and Furina, you can make basically most characters OP with Xianyun.

Adding thoughts: could have another anemo to reduce cooldowns and provide grouping/VV. If you have her C1, the hops she does could also trigger TF and reduce cooldowns that way?

This has me thinking about Arlechinno. Wonder if she could be a plunge carry like benny and vape with Furina or be an off field pyro applicator like Xiangling. Excited to see and that being said…
RANDOM THOUGHT but since she was described as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”…imagine if she had like pyro wolves that attacked like Furina’s parasites and had the bite animation of the enemy wolves in Honkai star rail. Arlechinno better not be like Dehya because there is so much potential for her to be a good unit!!
I have C2 and i think she's really good, especially if you're a Xiao main (I am)
One other thing, Shimenawa's is probably BiS on most characters on a Xuanyun team. It works well on Keqing and Heizou. Sacrificing Keqing burst seems fine since the damage window is much smaller.
As a Furina-less player, I do have to work around her, but Mona can allow similar damage but with much higher team ER requirements.

What do you think with Chonyun, nahida, bennett and Xianyun. I dont have c4 xiangling. I have been building that team but clearing abyss seems to be quite hard as i cant melt all plunge.
I personally really enjoyed cryo infused Shenhe with Xianyun, she perforemed great imo, had 0 problem with the abyss using Shenhe Chongyun Xianyun Furina team
