Oh man, that song in that specific moment in the movie, it was just perfect, so pure, so in touch with what the character were feeling. i love it so much
Totally agree with you, no better song could have matched so well with that special moment of the movie, wich is an ode to friendship, brotherhood and freedom at the same time. :)
WOLVESFC For a lot of music in the movie Jonah Hill (Director) wrote letters or personally went to the peoples he wanted to use music from and asked to use their music in his film
This movie and this scene hit me right in the feels as a skateboarder who grew up in Los Angeles, I just love it so much cause I can relate to the feeling of being lonely & shit is fucked up at home, so you hit the streets with your skateboard, make some friends along the way, have fun learning new tricks and forget about all the bullshit in the world for a little while
Nicely worded, I wish I could relate more to it. But I can put myself in your position and feel that way because of this scene and the music/way it's filmed, I love the vibes!
I was Crip in the 90s in Los Angeles and I used to watch the skaters as I seen myself and them living out the same struggle youth gang members was suffering from .... Much love to the skaters and taggers of the 90s ... ✌🏾
I was Born in 97 so I'm defiantly not from the 90's But I LOVED THIS MOVIE! and this part of it the most! My Brother was born in 89 but we spent a lot of time together learning to skate, I really looked up to him and and if I'm honest kinda wanted to be half as cool as He was. He introduced me to much music, NWA, Tribe called guest, Radiohead, the Smiths, Foo fighters, arcade fire, arctic monkey's, Nirvana and the list goes on an on. we spent hours just listening to music and skating. I look back at those times as some of the happiest moments of my life, He's 31 now with a family and I'm almost 24 but we still skate around together when we can... I Still do better heelflips than him though. Sibling Rivalry! you can't touch it when movies stir those parts out of us, Cheers Jonah!
How sad are we? And how sad have we been? We'll let you know We'll let you know Oh, but only if, you're really interested You wonder how We've stayed alive 'till now We'll let you know We'll let you know But only if, you're really interested We're all smiles Then, honest, I swear, it's the turnstiles That make us hostile Oh We will descend On anyone unable to defend Themselves Oh And the songs we sing They're not supposed to mean a thing La, la, la, la Oh You're lonely Oh, you're lonely Oh Get off the roof! Oh Your arsenal! We may seem cold, or We may even be The most depressing people you've ever known At heart, what's left, we sadly know That we are the last truly British people you'll ever know We are the last truly British people you will ever know You'll never never want to know
Fuck this movie hit soo fuckin hard. Soo many similarities and the music oh my god the music. When they played this song I couldn’t help but tear up. Dope ass movie
a great skate video. not all skate vides have to be rodney mullen level. that incline is perfect, too. this scene makes me excited to see what jonah will do next. he's good at this.

eli iacovoni that's really cool, gotta love Jonah
and the massage back from Morrissey was fucking rad, something like "it is an honor and I cannot wait to see Mid 90s"
ryan wow, a time when morrissey wasn’t a complete douchebag

Man, I watch this scene a lot, from a broken home and skated to help cope in a way.
A scene during the movie the most beautiful, I’m not a guy from 90’s my childhood was during 10’s but this movie makes me nostalgic ❤
one of my favorite scenes ! i love this film so much, gonna watch it again soon

How sad are we?
And how sad have we been?

That make us hostile
Oh
We will descend
On anyone unable to defend
Themselves

They're not supposed to mean a thing

Did you just leave this comment on Vlad tv
Especially when the angry mother takes her son to confront his new questionable friends hehe
I really saw that as well. I think the director must have used it as a source of inspiration.
PATRICK MORRISSEY no I didn’t, I’m sorry for the late response 😅
Watched it yesterday for the first time, and as a huge fan of morrissey and the smiths it was a pleasant surprise!

One of my favorite scenes in this movie it shows ray rlly cares
I like how they are skateboarding the same direction as the car with the headlights on; perhaps explaining hope?
I remember that in that part I went back to review the scene of the film. The music fit perfectly.
