It’s always the same story, she was a “party girl” and had one night stands and made “mistakes” but now she’s “changed” and wants somebody to “come to the rescue”. I don’t think this is right and I agree with what you are saying. Telling men to date single moms takes away from them being able to start their own families. Families is what society desperately needs.

I gotta agree with Darius on this topic. I treat single moms and people I know in general respectfully, but the harsh reality is yes single moms are hard to date. I don't intend to date one cause I don't wanna risk going broke and in debt paying for her and her children's needs, likely won't be accepted by the child depending on his or her age, and of course there's the risk of the baby daddy still being around being a major distraction the relationship. Notice I didn't mention the single mom's personality. Even if me and her have enough interests in common and get along well that won't take away those 3 disadvantages I just mentioned. Out of all the women I knew from school that went on to become moms only two are married to the father of their child. The married moms are successful in life while the single moms are not. (1) When speaking of a woman's worth, in this case, we are only speaking of single mothers, as potential mates, in the dating/relationship marketplace: (2) By definition, a single mother will be bringing additional people into any relationship, raising the degree of difficulty of that relationship; (3) There is something to be said for two people experiencing life eventa together for the first time (i.e. marriage, kids, etc.); (4) Relationships with the children's father will require some management; (5) Some men may not to want to feed and cloth another man's kids, on one hand, but not have a say on discipline, on the other; (6) No matter what may be claimed, single mothers will bring their coparenting issues and baggage to their new relationships
Before some of you triggered women talk about men having baggage too, from their past relationships, it is nowhere near the same if they aren't a parent. Men having issues too doesn't detract from or disprove what is being said about single mothers.
The hypocrisy that men like you continue to spew always baffle me. Instead of holding women AND men accountable, you choose to demonize women. You call their actions reckless and her self worth diminished. How about telling men to not create several different children in different households. Or the men who helped perpetuate children in single households. In short, black men need to hold other black men accountable instead of degrading the very same women your supposed to be protecting
