8:11 THANK YOU!!! its so exhausting how people bashing these characters for not being able to keep up with every single contexts around because they dont understand these characters dont have the pov that the audience have
Th3birdman makes a pop culture reference that has nothing to do with this movie cliche 🤷♂️ lol
What it should’ve been:
“Why didn’t you help stop Thanos?”
“We didn’t know, and it all happened so fast that we wouldn’t even have made it to help.”
Thank you for giving a great counterargument on the “why didn’t they help against thanos” argument
Even though Icarus knew the emergence was going to happen, and the snap postponed it, so why didn’t Icarus do everything he could to undo it
@@ad-sd-vids5332 Because it wouldn't make sense. Ikaris wanted to prevent the death of the celestial. Postponing it is not the same.
@@ad-sd-vids5332 wasn't he off of earth at time during Infinity war cause they mention that they haven't seen him in centuries.
@@ad-sd-vids5332 he couldn't do shit, and by that point it'd be interfering to step in and assist
@@ad-sd-vids5332 he probably did though? How would he have found time travel or the infinity stones? Everything he could have done after the fact would’ve been mostly inconsequential.
I love how he says them name dropping Batman and Alfred is a sin because it’s opening the door for if they’re real superheroes in the world or if they’re comic books still, despite Alfred also being name dropped, which is something you should only really know by knowing Batman or by reading the comics, and since the dude laughed, I’m pretty sure he read the comic too.
Danggg good point.
I'm honestly baffled that anyone could come to the conclusion that those comment imply that the DC superheroes are real superheroes in the MCU. Plus, even basic research would tell CimemaSins that DC Comics exist in Marvel comics, but I suppose that's too much work
I just always assumed that Marvel was fictional in DC, and vice versa. In our universe, both are.
@@Lokear We know in The Flash, Cisco read Marvel comics
@@bextomoose It's always been too much work to read even a quick list about it.
jeremy being totally confused by the concept of family resemblance is hysterical for someone who's college girlfriend was probably also his cousin. like dude, i look just like my half sister and we only share 50% of our dna
I hardly look like my half sister while our other sister (who I share a mom with) looks everything like the us two and us three share the same dad. Then my half sister looks like her mom. It's weird how genetics work.
lol ditto I look just like my half brother
Yeah, I mean I only share 50% of my DNA with my half brothers but I literally behave like them sometimes, especially the middle child
I don’t think half siblings share 50% of their dna
Pretending to be successive generations is a classic way for immortals to explain themselves to people who know them from long enough looking youthful won’t cut it as an excuse. The unaging thing is a source of internal conflict for Sprite because she’s lived there same length of time as her fellow Eternals but is trapped in the body of a kid and thus no one takes her seriously.
Squidward: “It’s just some stupid sand.”
Sersi: “It’s not sand…it’s a rock.”
Squidward: "Will you forget the stupid pioneers. Have you ever noticed that there are none of them left? That's because they were lousy hitchhikers, ate coral, and took directions from algae. And, now you're telling me they thought they could cuddle...on rocks?"
Th3Birdman: "Grow up, Squidward."
I don’t know why but “sir…that is a rock” had me dying haha
Finally someone made the very obvious conclusion that unlike the other avengers movies, nobody knew about the battle. To humanity and most likely the eternals, two aliens dropped down in New York and Iron man chased them away. They would only learn about it later that day when people were dusting outta existence
Spider-Man has super strength/ durability, The Flash has super speed, and Cyclops has eye beams. Guess who else have those powers? Superman has those powers.
Cyclops Optic blasts are concussive force in nature.
@@Eccentric_Charlie yeah, they’re similar which was my point.
@@Eccentric_Charlie according to some nerd, cyclops are actually dimensional portals to the punch dimension because comics
It amazes me how Jeremy completely missed the point of the Eternals powers. They're not based on the Justice League, they're based on the divine beings and characters of various mythologies, showing that they provided inspiration for those stories that didn't involve Thor or Hercules.
Hell, the team strongman is literally named Gilgamesh! The other members are references or have shortened names, his didn't even change!
It is true that the eternals are based on various mythologies. But that doesn't mean I stop calling one of them superman, my brain just can't help calling him that, it doesn't help that they made a joke about him being like superman in the movie. I don't even remember his actual name, that is how bad it is.
Th3Birdman's explanation about why the Eternals didn't engage in the fight against Thanos is better than others I've heard such as "they just couldn't interfere" and others like that.
Coming from a fellow scot big props to Disney/Marvel for letting Richard madden keep his Scottish accent and the same for Barry keoghan for keeping his irish but a massive F U to the fanbase for making fun of makkaris actress for her scream when the actress is deaf

Unrelated to CS but I will never understand why this was the MCU's first Rotten rated film. There are several that are clearly worse - this at least tried to explore themes, ideas and concepts beyond the usual MCU style and had ambition I greatly admired. I hope we see more risks in the future from the studio.
If you try something outside the normal patterns that you have a lot of experience in, you have more chance of not doing it well, or at least to the same standard that your movie going audience expects. Like it or not, Eternals does not exist by itself and is going to be graded on a curve within the context of the MCU.
Definitely shouldn't have been the first (Thor 2, Iron Man 3, Captain Marvel), but it's definitely a crap movie, in my opinion
@@BlueMarbleApeMan i think it deserves at least a single watch, unlike captain marvel or thor 2, i do think iron man 3 can be good enough if you ignore how dirty they made the mandarin there
I don't understand the hate for this movie either...I loved it. It's not perfect, but then, what is?
That is what is called "review bombing"
I genuinely love reading the comments you make the counter idiots. It's genuinely entertaining.
Along with your normal videos.
You take no Bs and I love it
Even right here on Earth, most living things have a lifecycle that involves death at some point. Mostly by eating other animals. If you call that “pointless” just because there’s no end goal… well, the point is to make sure it DOESN’T end.
What is left of some dinosaurs is in a museum right now. What is left of other dinosaur is sh*ttingon a car in the museum’s parking lot. “success” doesn’t always mean reaching a goal. Success can mean never…
Theoretically, a “cinemasin” is something a movie does that makes the movie unrealistic and/or nonsense, Jeramy called something a “sin” that happens so often real life, I have to get philosophical about Evolution and existence just to explain how often it happens.
Jeremy getting the Kamehameha and Haduken mixed up is nothing to feel too bad about...Blizzard did that aswell when they added in a Druid NPC for a Pre-Legion release event where the npc would shout KAHMEHAMEHA and you could see it across the map in the chat, and that too was a Ball, not a Beam.
Calling Jada Pickett Smith Krillin made me fall out my bed laughing 💀💀
Mocking religion is funny, I'm Christian and I laugh all the time. Keep being funny.
@@damienwayne9608 why are you going to every comment with a christian trying to troll
@@damienwayne9608 claiming you know the truth
My cousin married a woman with STRONG genetics where practically every woman looks damn near identical. So once again, Jeremy doesn't know shit about genetic probability.
The plot twist is your cousin actually just married into a family of clones. Clearly, its the only answer to this impossibility.

Something I started to notice as I was watching this is that the Eternals share a couple striking similarities with the Gems from Steven Universe. Both are a group of earthly protectors who appear human but are something else entirely . Both also have a "core" and are created underground. Also both are basically immortal and have walked the earth for millenia.
And they are programmed like machines with full knowledge who and what they are created by colonizing godlike creatures etc
I feel like this is the most pain-full episode of cinemasins I have seen. You did a great job and the video is amazing. It just hurts me so much with every one of his 'critieques' just stem from him not paying attention. I am one of the few people who really loved this movie even though I can see the flaws I do think that the film overall is a great one and having so called 'critics' make fun of a film because it expects you to pay attention makes me louse faith in audiences and movie watchers in general. Any who sorry for that rant, keep up the amazing videos.
Unlike CinemaSins, who does multiple parts for views and artificial lengthening of videos, you give a straightforward answer.
And that’s why you have my respect and not Jeremy, I mean C-3PO, I mean Jeremy.
I recently went back to CinemaSins and watched their video covering The Prince of Egypt, and... wow. I wish you luck if you ever decide to cover it. It seems like you'll have to make a sin for everything Jeremy said except maybe the sin removals.
Depends if he just put the sins back or not right after the removals. Hopefully Birdman does that video because I love that movie too much to listen to Jeremy explaining for about a half hour how he doesn't get the movie.
I hope he does decide to cover it but he may need to do it in several videos as there are so many sins 😂
i can't make myself watch it. i'll wait until birdman tears it to shreds.
There's a special place in Hell for people who pointlessly nitpick masterpieces like Prince of Egypt. :P
Jeremy can’t be trusted with anything regarding mythology. Can’t imagine what bullshit he’s concocted in that video.
The JLA/Avengers crossover was much more heavy-handed, but it was one of my favorite crossover comics. Superman holding Cap's shield and Mjolnir was so epic ☺️ Great vid btw
YES.
You know Cinemasins messed up whenever Th3Birdman has to make a multi-part video explaining the eternal amount of mistakes that they made! *!ginD (Reverse Ding!)*
You missed “Jeremy makes Game Of Thrones pop culture ref” 😂😂😂😂
I can't wait for part 2 your videos are awesome and funny as hell.
"He got Ajax from the Dish Soap" -Deadpool/Wade Wilson. First thought hearing Ajak's name.
I agree with you about Kingo's "lineage". I saw an old photo of my dad when he was my age, and we look almost exactly alike.
This might be in my top 7 of your 2022 intros, love this
I actually like this movie despite popular belief that it sucks.
Thing is, you can like bad movies
I like The Room and Dragonball Evolution but can recognize how heavily flawed they are in multiple aspects. Eternals is not THAT bad as those movies, but it certainly is a very generic boring movie with badly written stereotype characters.
Same.
Me too mainly because I freaking adore the celestials from the comics
Me three
@@blinkachu5275 a boring movie is the worst movie.
I'm glad I found your page forever ago. I remember watching some Cinemasins an enjoying them forever ago, then noticing one day an error that didn't make sense. That led me here and now the poison that is that channel no longer can infect my mind.
How i wish i had the critical way of thinking things through like you! Cheers birdman !
...Part 1?
THIS IS GONNA BE EXTRA GOOD!!! 🍿
Thank you Birdman, I always recommend you whenever a comment mentions CinemaSins
Thank you so much for that part about them not fighting thanos. Idk how many times after the movie came out I had to tell people this and argue that just because heroes are on earth, doesn’t mean they can be or get anywhere instantly when something happens. The Eternals were all over the world, how the hell would that know or even get it Wakanda when the fight was going on before it ended?
I've been waiting for this
Part 1? 😃
This is where the fun begins.
We are still flying half a video
Damn now I gotta wait for part 2
I actually very much liked the live action depiction of Ikaris despite his differences from the comic book versions, one of my favorite characters. I’m just hoping he’s strong enough to survive the heat of a star in the movies and that we can get a chance to see him in action again on the big screen. I think I’ll help to have the externals out exploring the universe in search of others and more celestial-host planets, as another way to expand the MCU into the stars. Similar to how James Gunn’s GOTG did, but it a very different style and storyline. Anyways. Huge fan of the Channel
If they want him back they can just rebuild him. Even give him some memories. Ajax didn't have Mahd Wy'ry and she remembered millions of years. Could be interesting if Sersi gets her memories back at the World Forge and realizes she falls in love with Icarus every mission.
these videos are amazing im definitely subscribing
When I saw this movie, I knew that fight scene with Icarus would be in the intro. And I was right! Also, as long as their jokes, I can take it. Especially with some conservative Christians who feel a little hypocritical.

A perfect start to my morning!

I knew i was binging your videos for a reason
I really liked Eternals. I do think that the scale of the story and the god-like characters makes it less relatable. But it's still an enjoyable film. It's too bad a substantial size of the community doesn't.
*Sees this is a two parter*
Oh yeah 🙏🏾
Also yes I watched til the end so I know why it's split into two parts but hey, more content.
0:58 clearly Jeremy's never seen a Star Wars movie. Wait...
Nah, you're right. He hasn't even seen the 12 Star Wars films his crew sinned
5:10 I damn near choked on my taco. That little smiley face was a golden cherry on top.
Mans got 69 sins for making a “balls deep” joke 😂
I Love your videos
He will be as he once was, as for he has never been nothing
If you don't realise how deep that was, you need to get a new depth gauge
Everything wrong with the eww cinamasins eternals it’s two parts and it’s funnier than like 97% of the shit Jeremy shat out in the last 20 years
After discovering Everything Wrong With CinemaSins I cannot even watch CinemaSins anymore; I wait for this.
Man I didn’t realize that was Florence Pugh in Wrestling with my Family
It's actually the first thing I've known she was in
Not since Avenger's Infinity War have i known such a cliff hanger!
Yes Finally I love this
Just when I thought it was going to be a boring day! It's go time!
Great vid
Oh this is gonna be a good one cause we all know Jeremy is way harsher on movies that have a negatived discourse around them
I blame you both for making me sit through this borefest a 2nd and 3rd time but I will continue to support 😄
I was about to go to bed, but that can wait another 17mins
sir.... that is a rock.
lmao i lost it
Makkari is best speedster and best girl.
Best speedster? Sonic the Hedgehog would like a word
But in all seriousness tho, Makkari is pretty dope indeed
Liked the film.
Just didn’t understand it’s over all place in the MCU. Also that opening music was 😫
2:21 Absolute legend move with the sin counter
9:49 Jeremy has never heard of Barry Allen
Of course he’s never heard of Barry Allen, he did “sin” Justice League.
I really enjoyed Eternals. It was a nice break from Avengers-centric films and opened up the MCU to more galactic stories even more so than Guardians did. I've been waiting to see living Celestials in the MCU since first seeing Knowhere in Guardians 1. I was not disappointed.
Also, Makkari is an S tier speedster. Suck it Quicksilver!
Yeah I enjoyed it too I don't know why its such a hateful movie
@@ZacSkateGamer I think it was because of the "supposed shoving of politically correct stuff down people's throat" that the haters think is in it... which honestly I didn't see much of it
@@Droidsbane I mean... I only have problems with its storytelling, but it's not enough to make me hate it. The movie handled the exposition very well, and come on: it has around 10 characters! If we can remember them by name and a bit of personality, that's already a job well done, even more considering that 2,5 hours weren't enough. Problems with storytelling are about "what the movie could have been", so it's not that problematic
The real sin is the rock isnt wearing sunglasses and a fanny pack in whatever that was.
Gotta say, I loved that "Arishem works in mysterious ways" sin. Pretty clever take on a cliché that annoys me whenever members of my own faith use it.
That intro song was 😩😩😩😩😩😩💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦
Pls tell me if you know what it is
Bruh what is that music at the start
You cannot get the full experience without watching Cinemasins, Cinemawins and TheBirdman. Then you become enlightened.
If I may also add to the "parent and child look exactly alike" pile, Lisa Bonet and Zoë Kravitz. And just of note, they were also both in different adaptations of High Fidelity.
I don't think I ever seen Birdman do a 2 part cinemasins video
I actually really liked learning that Marvel respects DC Comics (to a degree) and even considers DC part of its multiverse.
" like Krillin's husband "
WTF i lol so hard dude
Just watching new cinema sins videos doesn't feel the same. I can hardly do it anymore
I find it funny how the dog was the only witness to see the monster
Personally, I kind of felt that *The Eternals* needed a red flag for Ikaris to properly deliver the heel turn. Sure, one might argue that his mostly lack of empathy or emotion (except for boning Min-Erva), but we didn’t get any clues to his betrayal.
I kinda knew the twist going in and I think Madden did a good job playing it- although more hints might have helped
I would put that what he did wasn't really a betrayal, He is shown to really not care that much about humans and I can only speak for myself but I wasn't surprised at all because he just felt defeated almost. Like, it was pretty clear that everyone else had found a life amongst humans while he just meandered on.
@@spacepenguins8939 Exactly. The twist had no setup, and it would have been out of character if Ikaris had any. However from what we see from him, we can gather that he is full robotic, with the only hints of emotion being love for Sersi, rage, and a couple chuckles and jokes.
I feel like the "ok there are exceptions" comment about Reese Witherspoon and her daughter was him admitting good example didn't work
7:46 duuuuuuuuude! **fist bump** 🤣
Hol up watts! whats that intro music? that shit was thumpin!
Says Gods name as Yehway major props for ya sir.
I love how he pronounces kamehameha so badly you can tell hes never seen a second of dbz “karmy-hame-ha”
I'm convinced birdman is an Eternal that was sent here to protect us from Jeremies and guide us towards a more intelligent and fruitful existence as humans
I am surprised you didn't mention Buried Alien. Which is meant to be Barry Allen after he killed himself to save the DC Universe. Or the time Deadpool disguised himself as Deathstroke and the comic writers kept making situations where he couldn't reveal he was Deadpool.
i enjoyed eternals, the change in cinematography and pacing was well received with me. I would have loved to seen this in theaters and imax but barely watched it a few months ago on disney plus.
Also some more advice "when you can do the things i can but you don't then the bad things happen they happen because of you"
Part 1?!
EDIT: ahhh I understand
Do you think that Thor 4's villain will introduce Knull as a concept, and tie him in with the Eternals/Celestials storyline?
Sir, that is a rock- Funniest shit I've ever hared

Just goes to show how many people lacks creativity when it comes to superpowers. There’s adaptability, weapon summoning, code editing, fucking matter manipulation, but nah, let’s go with super strength, speed, flight, teleportation, or telekinesis. If the ones I listed are too overpowered, just add characters with equally powerful abilities.
16:22 Ah, good ol' Rosemarry Harris. My favorite Aunt May.
@Th3Birdman I owe you an apology. I actually never knew that you were merely cracking jokes about various religions specifically Christianity. I think it was the wording of some of your jokes that made me misunderstood (I've encountered people who used similar wording to bash various religions for no apparent/legit reason. Once again I apologize and again I love your content. Keep it up.
it would be nice seeing the 2 of them meeting
Day 98 of telling th3birdman I appreciate his content
The Icarus character looking like Henry Cavill as Superman? What a stretch. He missed the obvious opportunity to bring up how similar this actor looks to Sebastian Stan. For a minute I thought the winter soldier was playing 2 different roles in the mcu.
27 minutes of Jeramy Scott talking about something he doesn’t know anything about. Sin #30. Thank you! Good content. Time for part 2.
Krillin's Husband? Birdman, why you gotta add another to the Krillin Owned Counter like that? 18 *_just_* knocked it down to zero again, and you're gonna do the monk like that?!
