      Ex-aaactly!! It's a sport coupe!! If you want full length back seats buy a mini van!! If you want a muscle car buy a Camaro or Mustang...you get a V8 with mediocre interior quality with one of those. So take your pick people. This car is very well balanced over all in my opinion. Great video!!

      They put seats back there to keep insurance costs down, not to actually use them. In most states, it costs more to insure a 2 seater because they are used for personal use and not mass transportation.

    • @Nestle245
      @Nestle245 2 роки тому

      In some coupes adults can actually fit in the back comfortably. It's always nice to have the option to throw people in the back only if needed. With this RC the backseats are completely non existent even for kid's.

    I am a first time Lexus owner. I wasn't really looking for a new car but I was curious to see what the Nissan Maxima was like so I went to the dealer to check it out. Across the street was a Lexus dealer so I figured why not take a look. Sitting in the showroom was this amazing looking 350 F Sport (never heard of it before or even saw one) so I sat in it and that was it. Aside from the gorgeous body design, the interior design was even better. Just sitting in the seat, the comfort level alone was incredible.Looking around the cabin/cockpit was pure glee. I was impressed as hell with the overall design, looks, and quality. It felt right. Perfect. Like I said, I wasnt looking for a car, so I went home. I didn't take it for a test drive or talk numbers. I thought about that car for two straight days and watched quite a few youtube video reviews. I couldnt sleep. I called the next day, 3 days later, and it was still available. I went home with it that very day. I didn't even test drive it, I just had to have it. I figured it's a Lexus, how bad can it be plus I saw plenty of positive reviews. Well, as impressed as I was with the exterior/interior was nothing compared to the performance and comfort level on that ride home. I was in a machine! in 3 months will mark 2 years of driving this car. I have one complaint. The storage bins on the doors are too narrow for me to get my hand it, and there isn't much on board storage to place things. It is such a minor thing. I love driving this car. I sit in traffic mostly, and I have no need to go 0 to 60 in 4 seconds. It has plenty of get up and go for me. I drive to and from work every day, about 20 miles round trip. I have just over 8k miles, so it is a very low mileage vehicle. The outside is black metal-flake, they call it caviar, and the interior is a light camel color. The contrast is beautiful. Sometimes I cant believe I drive this car. It's an AWD too and handles snow as good as any SUV out there. I highly recommend this car. I've had people in the backseat. It works if you have to, but I didn't get this car for multiple people, but in a pinch the backseat will work for average body types.

    Kevin, I agree with everything you say about the Lexus experience! When people rag on Lexus I always think they must not own one to even know what they’re talking about! LOL! I am still amazed after almost 10 years of driving my 2010 Lexus RX 350 at how well it drives and has aged so well! I mean it still drives like new. my family comments on it, friends that have ridden in it comment that they cannot believe this car is 10 years old! And everything still works on this car! OK, maybe my power tailgate doesn’t work occasionally when it gets chilly outside! Ha-ha! But other than that, it is solid and bulletproof!
    I love those style of wheels on that Lexus RCF sport! It looks sharp!

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  5 років тому +4

      Yes you are correct, when most people speak about cars on the internet 9 times out of 10 they have not owned any of the cars they speak on. A lot of the opinions and drama stem from those who simply judge cars by spec sheets but fail to realize there is so much more to a car than a piece of paper. Lexus ownership is one of the most rewarding and that is why people of the real world gravitate towards the brand. I love German cars, I own a 440i BMW but these are lease cars only

    • @zairnaim93

      Eleanor, that's a simple cheap thing to fix. You can probably do it yourself. Just buy some new lift gate supports and swap them out. They cost about $30-$80 for a set of two on Amazon.

    • @eleanormassaro5195
      @eleanormassaro5195 5 років тому

      @@zairnaim93 I wish it was as simple and cheap as that, but that's not the issue. I suspect it's the motor for the power rear door. Whenever it gets cold down here in Florida, the power mechanism doesn't want to work for a few days. It will make the beeping sound but it won't open the door by power and I have to manually open it. Same thing once the door is up, it won't go down by power. It's been very intermittent for the past few years:)

    • @zairnaim93
      @zairnaim93 5 років тому +1

      The lift supports help the motors to bring the rear door up. They are filled with pressurized gas so they become weaker in the cold (I live in Canada and they become very weak in the cold as they age). I have to replace them on my mother's 2011 rx which is why is suspected u may have the same issue.
      In your case though if it's not even coming down by power replacing them may not help.

    Great review.
    My wife and I drove a IS350 F sport and then followed with the RC350 F sport. Even though the chassis I believe is the same? (not positive on that) The RC350 felt sportier. Better handling. We have an original IS300 that we are looking to replace and we ended up a little disappointed in the IS350.
    Curious if you have tried the RC F. Strangely enough the RC F rear body work looks less aggressive somehow than the RC350 missing some vents. But I think the acceleration would be more fun.

    For the 350 NON F sport owners, you haven't met your ride until you turn off traction control and vsc and dip into sport mode. I drove mine for 3 weeks wishing I bought the F before I realized I had traction on. Now plenty of speed. Drop in a cold air intake and that gives just that little +10 hp bump to make the 350 plain enough

    I'm local to you, so its kinda strange seeing St. Michaels and Cary passing by in the background lol. I daily drive a 2018 RC 350 F Sport, pretty much love it. I'm just shy of 20k miles on mine so it's good seeing one holding strong at 120k. My previous car, a 2010 328xi, had major problems when it crossed 60k miles. I think the trick with understanding the RC is that it's a GT car. It's meant to slay highway miles and it does it super well. Best road trip car ever.

    I think it’s nice to hear about a Lexus car that may be a bit misunderstood. It’s also pleasing to hear that this Lexus is free of any check engine light. The only light in the gauge cluster of a Lexus should be the traction control off light. That’s a fact. Anyway, I am interested in your argument that F sport > non-F sport. In the case of the RX it might not be true. But then again that’s just from what I’ve read online, I have not compared them myself. It might make a good direct comparison, wouldn’t you say?

    Personally I don’t think that a 2016 Lexus with 120k stood the test of time. It’s still a fairly new vehicle that has been driven on the highway a lot.
