@@Roarih you're right but you're also wrong. Yes I could be better, yes I make questionable plays sometimes but meta decks lower the skill required. Token druid for example is like old odd Pali You've got to keep the board clear but it's so cheap and easy for them to replenish and buff unless I have drawn the exact cards I need I lose. That's not skill it's luck. I enjoy controlling and manipulating the board not just mindlessly buffing and smashing into the enemy. I would say my win/loss is even but its just not fun getting smashed repeatedly in the face and losing before I can even level out and gain control

Thanks Toast for making these kinds of decks. As a new player, it feels really hard to get into Hearthstone without spending money, and these videos really do help. Please keep making these kinds of videos every once in a while!
Honestly, card games are really brutal for new players after a few years, at least for the eternal format. The best recommendation I have to keep up w/ dust requirements is to always disenchant the obviously bad cards, and also prioritize getting good classic cards so you'll always have something to play even if you take a break for a few years.

This video gives me genuine nostalgia for the Naxx/ GvG days when I played nothing but hybrid hunter for months, right in that sweet spot post undertaker nerf but well before the leper gnome/ abusive sergeant nerfs.
I enjoy these Toast videos much more than the usual ones. The ones where he walks folks through his thought processes and such, shows he's good at educational type videos.
A really nice deck, just started out with HS again and i checked the "meta" but i went with this deck, in 1 day i went from rank 25 to 15 with 80% win rate.
worth noting the old Whizbang guide isn't as viable, many of the freebies used to get the dust are not there anymore. F for anyone just coming in who missed Marin or a Death Knight.

i was running a very similar deck with about a 60% win rate, i updated it to yours but took out a highmane and added leroy now im at about 70% my losses are my own fault normally not playing the cards correctly but i is learning and loving the complex strats.

You can actualy get by with token druid. Vargoth is Free, you just have to cut whispering Woods, Crystalsong portal and the keeper, everything else is either Common or rare. You can replace the 5 missing cards with mycrobot techno (i think that's the Name? It's a 5 mana 2/1 that summons 2 1/1's), direwolf alpha, hogsteed, mechanguru...there are substitutes. It's not as cheap as this one in the video, but I would argue it's stronger.

Only gets hard at 10 imo. The secret is picking a strong deck and sticking with it. Keep tuning it up to fit the meta as it will naturally change daily or weekly depending on the meta even if its majorily the same deck small cards will change making it more consistent in the current meta. My reccomendation is staying with 1 solid deck and keeping up with its rotating lists. As long as a bunch of legendaries aren't popping in and out u shld be good.
Tatsumi Taiga people dump Deadly Shot, in my opinion is great and better than marked shot so i dump marked shot.. actually i dunno do you play this or a bit expensier version(w/o or with Zuljin)
Just remember people that it isn't just about the cards you have but the skill with how you use them. You can have every card in the game but it doesn't mean you'll be a rank 1 player. Learn. Reflect on games and what happened. Think and improve.
While in a vacuum Spectral Cutlass is good, in the current metagame it's pretty garbage - because everyone and their dog is running 2+ weapon removal cards. While that means that cards that are immediately impactful like Pickaxe and Wrenchcalibur are still fine, it means that a long-term gameplan card like Cutlass just doesn't do nearly enough before it gets destroyed.
If there's one thing we all learned today, children, it's: if you can't kill your opponent NOW, you trade. So many games lost because people didn't play around super obvious burst damage.
