This is my honest, unsponsored review. I really have tried using these in all situations and it always weighs my curls down. I've tried the stylers on soaking wet, wet, and damp hair, and even to refresh. Any advice on what I could be doing wrong?

I think the exact same of the pre biotic primer, it dont have no freaking slip! They were joking when they named that lol. I just use it on my scalp and dont even bother with detangling. The shampoo is fine, i barely use the conditioner because the pump bottle makes me rage alone. I just deep condition with another deep conditioner from another brand.
I have super dry hair so the stylers from this line dont touch me at all. I usually can get one day out of using them and I'm right back to square one with styling. Once they run out, theyre out of my stash forever and never returning.
Sorry you dropped so much $$$ on such a subpar experience! The only product I use from Curlsmith is the bond rehab salve, the others I will leave on the shelf.
ETA: since I have super dry hair, I have used almost all of the orange line (the moisture line). I do like those products, but they pale in comparison to other products I have started using.

As I was dealing with the same problem, I did some research and found out that, even though curlsmith doesn't use silicones, they do use lots of Polyquaternium in their scalp line, which works and builds up VERY similar to silicones (micro plastic that layer around your hair cuticle and weigh your hair down). After I washed those Polyquats out with sulfate-containing shampoos (which are the only way to get rid of Polyquaternium build up) for a few times, I started to notice big improvement in my hair's volume. Really appreciate your videos, as a fellow curly girl with fine hair and East African heritage

I am guessing Curlsmith is better geared towards people with thick, coarse hair. I tried their purple protein shampoo and conditioner and it also weighed my hair down. I didn’t know polyquats need sulfate to remove. I will definitely try that! Thank you!

@@AmenaTeferi Thank you 🙌 the "Hold me softly balm" and the "Oil-in-cream" (no polyquats) leave my hair with moisture and volume, when using a small amount only 😍And I found it helpful to deep condition after using Sulfates!
