Thanks Nicola for tagging along - pleased you enjoyed the series 💛 & I will try film a separate video on how I planned the trip/what I packed when I get a moment :)
Fantastic series Christine, thank you for taking us along and spending the time making these beautifully scenic videos....info on what you packed for this trip would be great 👌
Hi Christine, As others have said, that was some spectacular scenery, bet you will end up replaying parts of that on cold wet rainy winter's days. Where to next? Cheers Graham
Thanks Graham, lovely to hear you enjoyed the series & most definitely will be looking back at this trip in the next couple of weeks as winter draws in! Probably staying put in Wales for now but will try and make a trip up north & to the lakes before Christmas at some point, maybe even enjoy some snowy hikes! Hope you have a lovely weekend & thanks again for tagging along :)
I love all of your 4 videos of the Austrian and Swiss alps 🙌. Sorry to say but The sheep and there bells are the real stars 🤣. The packing list video is also a good idea too 👍.
So lovely to hear you enjoyed all the videos Matt 🫶🏻 and yes even I can admit they carried the entire series! & I will try and film a separate video in the next few weeks :) have a lovely weekend!
Happy memories Christine. We did exactly the same as you in 2019, but included Tilisunahütte and St Antonien. What a beautiful hike and your videos are superb. Happy hiking!
Thanks Rob, lovely to hear you have fond memories of this trek too! I wanted to do the slightly longer route to Mannheimer Hutte but due to the heavy snow decided not to risk it with Schesaplana sadly. Glad you’re enjoying the videos 😊
@@shefreelyroams Thanks for your reply Christine. Interesting to hear that you were keen to do more whilst there. By the way we had a tough time getting to Scheseplana. The route was very eroded in some parts and we were quite terrified that we were just going to slide down the slope! We met a few locals who were equally terrified so we felt better! After Switzerland and Austria we went on to Northern Italy and did Alta Via 2. All the best with your future hikes. Love your videos!
Yes I was gutted not to make the summit on the final day but I’d also heard from others staying at the huts that the route was a little sketchy in parts, just as you describe it! Well done for making it to the top 👏🏻 I’ve done sections of the alta via 2, will return for more of it someday I’m sure! & thank you , genuinely lovely to hear 🫶🏻
Stunning series. Thank you for taking the time to film and share with us. I would be very keen to see/hear about your planning process for this trip 😊

Looked like a fantastic trip! I've only ever been further west in Switzerland (Valais, Bernese Oberland), which I'd definitely recommend too!
It was a brilliant trip, beautiful landscape! Thank you for the recs, the Bernese Highlands are definitely on my to do list - look stunning 😊
